  • In this bass guitar tutorial, you will learn three beautiful chord progressions using harmonics. I'll show you how to solo over those chords using a looper pedal.
Then you will learn what notes to use, the key, some mode stuff (the amazing Lydian mode!), plus plenty of bass solo tips and techniques.

best instructor out there. no hrs of small talk, just straight forward teaching. keep up the great work. i see your number skyrocketing from here on out. sunscribe ppl.
dont ever lose the teacher when you get big.. as the bigger the channels go, moving from sound teachimg to a free for all bs talk and ego session...
when a channel pushes play bass without knowing scales, how do we learn if they take away the very essemce of what all music is made up of?

Thanks very much. I don’t think there’s any danger of that happening but I’ll keep an eye out and so can you!
In all seriousness, I love doing this and it has turned into my full time job so there is a need to treat it like a business and earn a living. Bass teaching will always come first though…

For harmonics do you mainly use the bridge pickup? Thanks Dan. Great lesson.

Thanks. If I have a two pickup bass like this one, I might favour the back pickup but, actually, I have an equal blend for this lesson. Seems to work quite well with this particular bass.

Hi Dan, I’ve been playing bass since 2018 and I’m learning now about chords shapes, major, minor chords, and intervals I would like to know what series Is this Ibanez bass you are using in this video? I can’t find this Bass on Reverb. A lot of your videos are helpful to me. Besides my lessons I’m taking from a Bass Guitar teacher, my name is Greg.
