Recently I was playing around with harmonics and I decided to tune down the D string by a whole note. This gave me a 7th chords on the ACG strings at 4th, 5th and 7th frets.
Awesome ! Thank you so much, I play by ear and you are the first person that I somehow understand clearly, making it all make sense after being self-taught , again thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉 it's fun again !!😊
best instructor out there. no hrs of small talk, just straight forward teaching. keep up the great work. i see your number skyrocketing from here on out. sunscribe ppl. dont ever lose the teacher when you get big.. as the bigger the channels go, moving from sound teachimg to a free for all bs talk and ego session... when a channel pushes play bass without knowing scales, how do we learn if they take away the very essemce of what all music is made up of?
Thanks very much. I don’t think there’s any danger of that happening but I’ll keep an eye out and so can you! In all seriousness, I love doing this and it has turned into my full time job so there is a need to treat it like a business and earn a living. Bass teaching will always come first though…
Do you have a video that show you how to get both hands working together and I like the way you teach I think I can learn from your teaching sign beginner.
Wonderful, your teaching style is interesting and your voice is comfortable that I can listen to your lessons for hours. I hope to see you in a video in which you talk about how to improvise with drums following the correct time signature,,thanks ❤
Thanks. If I have a two pickup bass like this one, I might favour the back pickup but, actually, I have an equal blend for this lesson. Seems to work quite well with this particular bass.
Hi Dan, I’ve been playing bass since 2018 and I’m learning now about chords shapes, major, minor chords, and intervals I would like to know what series Is this Ibanez bass you are using in this video? I can’t find this Bass on Reverb. A lot of your videos are helpful to me. Besides my lessons I’m taking from a Bass Guitar teacher, my name is Greg.
Dan you care about people wanting to learn , you have a good heart, and a genius on bass
I’m definitely no genius on bass but I do care about music and bass and passing on what I can. 🙏🙏
Yes he really does. He cares man. Thanks for helping to become better to be a winner 🏆 and knowledgeable

Hey Dan, I would like to know more about bass harmonics, especially artificial harmonics ,tap harmonics and pinch harmonics if there’s any!
I do need to do a lesson on that but try this: ua-cam.com/video/Rjx7pP1OBKM/v-deo.htmlsi=zQNsU6KBeLMyvyi9
For harmonics do you mainly use the bridge pickup? Thanks Dan. Great lesson.

Thanks very much, Greg. I found this bass very randomly in a shop in Singapore. It’s a 1982 Ibanez Roadster and was very cheap. I got lucky!
Dan , Thank you for your response I found this bass on Revber Ibanez Roadster 1982 used basses are selling for $800 to 1500 US dollars.👍
@@Gpa129872 Wow, that's over double what I paid for mine!
Nice
What gauge strings are you playing?
And is your bass tuned up an octave?
45-105 and no. 🙏🙏
Hello, What are you using for reverb?
Usually Valhalla Room or Waves CLA Guitar plugins.
What are you playing your bass guitar through?
This signal chain: ua-cam.com/video/70FYURah5nU/v-deo.htmlsi=E0fvQUinQInjFJ-c
If I can just get half the sound of any song I'll be happy.
You can definitely do it! Choose something nice and simple to start off with.
