If I can add a suggestion for a lesson, I find it makes a world of difference when one successfully ends a phrase on a note that really feels right. Something about cadences maybe? Is that a concept that applies to phrasing on bass and/or on bass-line building? The idea of targeting a good note that propels to the next phrase' beginning note? Hopefully I gave a useful suggestion here. Thank you again for all the lessons!

Good idea. Landing on chord tones often results in a pleasing sound. No surprise as your melody note fits directly with the chord. That’s a good rule of thumb - target chord tones.

I have been following you for a little more than a year now. That is when I started my journey learning the electric bass. I am a “sub” and a patron of your lessons. I have learned quite a bit and continue to, but I really do appreciate your approach. You come across as calm and friendly in these vids, and it makes it so nice to watch whilst learning. I know I have pointed out the obvious and that these things have been mentioned before but I cannot thank you enough.

Coming on Saturday! In that lesson I mention that I don’t have a clue about the different pedals (sorry…). Check their website. I’d imagine it’s more control over the loops and more recording time etc. basically just better and more features. Mine is very simple but ok for now.

    • @OnlineBassCourses

@@luismorales9568 Nothing that I've seen, heard or played. There's something about old basses. I must say, the pickups are new though. Plus there are effects on this video so you can get a similar sound with a PJ bass with old-ish stainless steel strings like mine (Elites Players 45-105).
