What happened is the Winston probably heard the voice line of "nanoboost is charging" but only heard like "nanoboost is" so he thought ml7 had nano, which in winston's eyes would had helped him secure a kill of two most likely. Not a bad call just a problem of misshearing ^^

This is the best video on Ana I have ever seen (and I've watched a lot). This really got me thinking about how to survive dive in new ways and changed my entire perspective on the game It felt so hopeless at times but this has changed my entire attitude. It helped SO MUCH. And I won 7 games in a row as Ana today, and am now at my career high (2310, but I started in Bronze a year ago) :D

Yes we do they play ladder as well (and rank worse than him). Difference is the pros play on teams and supports are responsible for making most of the calls since they typically have the best view. Not saying he can't but path to pro is a lot or steps, work, and practice that other players are actively participating in. U make more from just streaming so unless pro is his dream its not practical for him even tho he's THE best support on NA servers.
Trey Cole ahh! ignorance! you clearly understand nothing about the difference of top 500 and professional play. as a consecutive top 500 player, i can assure you that i would get absolutely rolled if i even began to approach OWL. i’m not trying to compare myself to ML7, but to make the assumption that anybody that’s been in the top 25 is capable of performing at such a high level is kinda arrogant
@@hurana795 I mean it's not the same though is it. ML7 is consistently top 50 on multiple accounts. He's not just any top 500 player, he's widely renowned to be one of the best supports and its highly like he would be able to transition to OWL without too many problems. He doesn't want to though
First off.. Thank you!😃👍 Your educational series has Drastically improved my support game play by handfuls! I think the most important things I learned was, "Always be the last one to die, use angles so you don't get picked off, and use walls as a shield. Those 3 tips alone are game changers!
You showed in some videos where good positioning is as Ana, and my gosh.. those spots you showed are great!
Maybe future video(s) to show positioning on every map attack/defense? (I understand it is situational as well for what your team and enemy team composition is).
Also perhaps a video to show some ledges, paths, "glitches" that you can use to get from one location to another? For example on one video you showed on Numbani there is a balcony ledge you can jump to but can't jump back to. Little things like that I find intriguing and informative. Knowledge is power👌

God.. watching this makes me realize I am closer to my skill ceiling as ana on Xbox than I thought (but still have a ways to go to reach it). The speed at which you move your mode is such a major difference to the point where it’s like day & night…
If Rein had shatter on that final fight, they’d have cap the point. Only option for him was to hold the shield and Soldier ran in front of him.

Those last couple of pushes on defence were actually insane when you rotate to an aggressive angle down the left-hand side because they push right side.. nails that difficult jump without even looking at it.. hits a juicy anti, kills Ashe sleeps Torb.. it's just so satisfying to watch.
This was such a wonderful video for me! I get temple of anubis really often in comp and I end up playing bap instead of playing ana. I like playing ana so much more and I have hated this map so much because of how difficult it is to play ana here. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You've taught me how to deal with a situation/map that is... suboptimal for me. Otherwise known as my worst map. So much more fun to play here now. 🤩❤

I think the most imlortant lesson, its abou who i will focus the heal. Because its so dynamic. The moment you has been decided heal zarya, and knew she dies, the team will lost space in the fight. TY

Question: when explaining the nano on bap around 18:05 why not just sleep monkey and not waste nano. I mean I understand the sleep on widow but the chances of you hitting that are extremely small compared to an 100% sleep on monkey
I’m assuming it’s bc widow was the bigger threat than the Winston? If he’d landed the sleep dart chances are the widow would’ve died and he’d be able to move more freely with his team.
I'd say bap is more important. also i guess bap's left click does more damage than solder so the nano could help healing as well as damaging .
he even didn't saw the monkey on baptiste before
When the fight begins you need to be thoughtful with using your recources. Saving the nano for next fight takes one recource away which leads to a lower win percentage. Maximizing your chance of winning by trying to sleep the widow, nanoing bap and pocketing Zary are drastically increased in camparison to sleeping winston and pocketing zarya.

Is it worth trying to "predict" when the rein will drop his shield with your sleep dart when the enemy has a dive hero? or would a nade be enough?
I recognised, that you sometimes just shoot your sleep against Rein shield, or throw your nade somewhere “random“. Why do you do that, isnt that just an ability waste?
He always has a reason either he thinks the rein is gonna go agro or he misses nades in the sky bc of small margins or timing errors
He already talk about that,
He do this when he know he don't need his nade/sleep in the next 8sec so he try a aggressive play or farm his nano.
Also in this case he say he try to sleep the rein to cancel shatter.
There are a couple of factors that probably play into when he throws one out.
1) Will you need sleep in the next 12 seconds?
If no, then you can throw it out.
The way to tell whether you need it is by knowing whether they'll engage or not (how many are alive, are they moving away or towards you)
2) Is the rein likely to drop shield?
While you can just throw them out as long as #1 is satisfied, you can increase the percentage of sleeps hit by timing them properly.
Watch for 2 things.
Firstly, the damage on the Reins shield via the crack lines. If it's low, most reins rather drop shield then let it break. While better reins might see your sleep coming and keep shield up, your team can then just finish off the weak shield and force them to retreat further/wait longer before they can engage again.
Secondly, does the rein have predictable movement? (ie: always drops shield while jumping backwards). In that example, if you aren't too far away, you can watch for the start of the jumping animation and just throw one out there.
As for the benefits, if your team doesn't wake the rein, either their team needs to wait additional 5 seconds before fighting, taking the spam damage from your team, or you can initiate a fight, further delaying them and unbalancing the ult economy further.
Worst case scenario, your team immediately wakes up the rein. So what, you won't need sleep, so it doesn't really matter.
ps: I just realized that I only covered sleeping reins, and I'm too lazy to look it over again. Note that the benefits listed above apply to you landing a sleep on anyone behind that reins shield.
Along with what has already been said, it's also important to remember that ML7 is a consistent t500 player, and his habits and thought process is fitting of those matches where everyone strive for efficiency at all times. In a higher ranked game, more often than not the Rein would lower their shield in many of the situations where he throws his sleep dart at him. It's all about trying to predict enemy moves instead of just reacting to them. ML7 now playing in sub t500 also likely needs to adjust some of his own habits to better suit the less aggro playstyle found in lower ranks than what he's used to. It's still the mindset that counts, and he makes sure that at any time he throws his sleep towards the enemy, either it's guaranteed success or he has calculated that he will not be in dire need of the sleep within the next 12 seconds. If you calculate that you won't be needing it before it gets off cooldown, then just use it whenever possible (with an ounce of thought behind of course).

@ML7 I always play the beginning of temple of Anubis from the top left area and inform my team to please not go too far into the right room so I can still heal them but no matter the team comp or skill level it seems my team always gets scattered apart going right into the room and left over the bridge and jumping down into dangerous territory while a lucid or ball comes to point and I’m forced to contest point and try to sleep but we lose point in the first 30 seconds every time. What else can I ask my team to do to work better around Ana’s healing capabilities while still holding a strong defense
You can't do anything about it. You have to adapt to the playstyle of your team. If they play agressive you have to play closer to them. For example you could play on the floor below you near the bridge and use the room and the bridge as cover. Or play really close to your team. Depends on your teams and your opponents comp. If they play dive heros you should play closer to your team. If they play brawl heros you can stay further away and as ML7 mentioned you should be constantly moving and change your positioning.
Nesics thanks for that, I will definitely try to utilize more of the rooms but playing really close to the team never seems to be ideal given that they usually just get scattered as soon as the enemy team pushes to the right

Hey thanks for the educational videos! It helped me so much. I was wondering how to play ana when the enemy has a extreme dive comb such as winston, ball, doom, genji (or tracer). In that case, I usually switch to brig to survive better. Is there any tip to play ana for this case? I personally just feel like the left side more. It is harder to spot flankers coming from the right, and unlike the left side where you can jump onto the bricks, you get blocked by that wall, which means less angle for nades and heals.

i normally just do an offensive made every time i get it, i don’t think it’s a bad habit but is it? i would like an opinion from some people
use this thought process
is my team already taking damage right now, or are the likely to very soon? (i mean damage that could kill them, not just poke damage)
if they are, use nade for your team.
if they aren't, think about this:
is my team ready to push in and capitalize upon it if i were to get a big nade? if they're scattered, a few coming out of spawn, then its possible they aren't ready to take a fight even if the enemies don't have heals.
for the most part though, just always try to think about your team first and how the nade will affect them and if you can follow up on an offensive nade or not
I'm currently a gold ana, so this might not be the best advice, but it works for me and I've been climbing
edit: also I'm not sure what rank you're in, but if it's a rank where you can't guarantee consistent heals from your other healer, or maybe you can't rely on your teammates helping you if you get dived, consider saving nade for yourself sometimes.
