- In today’s episode of the UNRANKED TO GM BAPTISTE CHALLENGE we continue our Overwatch adventures in the diamond rating. We’re going to sadly visit Dorado with a loss and then we’re heading up to a full hold on Hollywood.
In the first part of the video which is correlated with the Dorado map we talk a bit about how to use angles and create opportunities with Baptiste in order to support your team with all the resources you have. We’re also going to try and understand a bit better the choke point on the first point of Dorado and what we can do with Baptiste in order to break it and continue moving the payload.
In the second part of the video we are starting to go a bit more organized and we already see some combos being used (specifically Orisa & Hog aka BUNKER COMP) and we are covering a bit of the placement of Baptiste’s Immortality Field on the first point of Hollywood. Besides that, we are playing with an Ana so it’s easier to focus on helping the team to break Orisa’s shield - something you should always do when you’re playing with either Ana, Mercy or Moira who can deal with the mass heals so you can use the dps part of Baptiste more.

I hate talking on comms because of the frequency of dudes being gross or abusive, but your videos really show how to absolutely carry just by guiding your team so I'm pushing myself to just mute the creepers and keep talking. 5 game win streak today (and two creepers blocked from two different games). Your videos are great, thank you for the inspiration!
I know "don't die" is some of the best advice to follow but I still have a hard time remembering. when my team is really passive I want to push or flank and get kills! I'm trying to be safe but still look for picks. excellent video and series, it's helped me so much!

Great episode man! My Bap is getting nasty because of you. Hope there’s one on how to deal with flankers. Had a great win streak yesterday but had to switch off bap because of Genji Doom combo. 😅

I'm interested in what ml7 has to say about that too. I'd say that's a bad situation because you are gonna depend a lot on your team since bap can't deal with them alone. Doom is particularly annoying since he can knock you out of immortality field, so you gotta hug a wall with your field. If they don't have a sombra you can stay closer to your team and track their positions, so when you feel they are going for the kill you have to call your team's attention because they are usually focused on the front, so when the enemy flanker finally jumps you can work with the tanks in order to stay alive. If your team isn't doing their job to protect you against flankers then It's probably better to swtich to something harder to hit like a moira.
@@Hyzalker For real, though, jump when you hear him charge his punch.
@@wordwoman9900 A half decent doom that sees a baptiste charging the jump will just release the punch before bap can gain enough charge to dodge it. Not to mention slam and uppercut combo is enough to kill 200 hp characters and knocks baptiste outside of immortality field height. There are things you can do to stay alive a little longer but in the end doom is still a hard counter to baptiste.
So long as you punch the fish everything will be ok.

Around 22:00 or so, never thought of it that way, usually losing main tank means you lose a lot of staying power/push pressure and you'd think it's safer to retreat a bit to regroup. Pushing in and forcing a fight while risky can make up for it the way it did there though, guess it's judgement call based as both can go horribly wrong. Thanks for showing that.

Would you ever consider professional play or are you far more interested in the streaming side of things? Either way, you're a joy to watch. I'm now strictly a tank main but if I'm forced to play healer it's either Baptiste or Ana!

How to get to gm: micro your team and play for everyone because everyone else IS bad.
I'm low plat, and i have 9,8k healing per 10 min on baptiste, (also 6k dmg). I cannot understand how people can be so dumb, they are never in voice chat, always play something they cant play and refuse to switch and just dont even think about what they're doing. I win 80% of the time when i have the full team communicating and playing like a normal team. Low ello is such a cancer
Well but you have to understand that it is basically the same for everyone
Look for your mistakes and not the ones of your team or do you seriously think your a god doomed to play with the poor folks or sth...
@@barbarakolb9214 the higher sr i have, the easier the games get.
Consistency is key, the more you play the more likely it is you’ll improve your SR rating, finding a group who matches your playstyle certainly helps too
Matt If you genuinely outclass your rank, just keep playing and you will climb. I started playing in s11 and I went from silver to 3300 right now, and I will keep climbing because I believe in myself.

I upload some losses too, but usually the games I upload are the ones that I analyze after so people also understand my decision making, not just watch a gameplay.
