- Today is my first day in Hong Kong and I am looking forward to getting my first custom tailored bespoke suit in hong kong. I found this place because of Anthony Bourdain's layover show.

I once purchased glasses on holiday in Hong Kong. Best customer service I have ever had in my life. They offered me soda and magazines, wifi and television while I waited to have them made. Best pair I have ever owned too.
how much was the suit and what thread count cashmere wool was it?
I've watched this video severely times Mike as I trained as a Tailor, Seamstress, Corsetier and Haute Couturier. I miss being able to the work so much, watching the choice of fabric, taking measurements, making your toile, then adjusting to make the 2nd toile and then finally sewing the basted garment together, hand finishing and the final press... it's a process that is really special. I really miss being well enough to do the work, the pleasure it gives to people and the art of the finished piece.
Dealing with extreme insomnia at the moment. Going through and watching some of these older videos. You are truly awesome to watch :)

We've been watching Mikey and Strictly for 3+ years but this vid just showed up as a suggestion in youtube and as I checked it, it hit me that this was the very first Mikey video I ever watched - back then in 2016 I was searching for bespoke suit prices in HK. Wow - start of a great journey. Thanks Mike.
Tailor knows his stuff. Notice how he stays away from extremes. He understands current trends but pulls back a little from silly in and out fashions. Slim fit but not undersized, slim trouser but not something that looks like spray on jeans! Balance. Good job chap.
Na Na I had some suits made at Andy Mohan While I was in Hong Kong. It was absolutely the most gorgeous clothing I’ve ever owned. The lining was embroidered with my name and one of the jackets was designed for me by his daughter. Yes, tailors make people very, very happy.

Cat spotted at the tailors! Which makes it seem like they indeed have a nice work environment. No idea how they manage to keep the catfur off everything haha.
The bathroom probably has a glass wall to maximise the feeling of space in a relativly small room. Lovely video again!

Stores should be more like this one, have awesome cats and dogs, unless they get sued because someone is severely or deadly allergic to pets like cats and dogs. you gave me ton's of idea what to do, when i go to hong kong. all these shopping places, restaurants, and that friendly taylor, and the Cat..
When I lived in HK I always knew how humid and hot the summer could get, but never think too much about it because I was used to it, until I moved to Canada and only occasionally returned back to HK as travel then I realized just how bad it really was. That heat wave when you exit any facility with air-conditioning is simply unreal, and then you just melt like butter lol

Those tailors from the tailor shop seemed like cool guys. Your hotel room was beautiful, I wish I could stay at hotels like that. Man, you have given me the "travel bug" cause now I want to get out of here and go off to some cool destination like this... (big bummer since I can't go...). I love these videos from abroad cause it allows us who can't travel to at least get a glimpse of life outside of our own backyards. So cool, I can't wait for the next one! here in the states it takes a few weeks to get a suit made. I miss Hong Kong.
Everybody should buy a suit when they're in HK. They have some of the best tailors in the world.

My dad loves telling the story about when he got his bespoke suit in Japan. The shop did all clothing and the little woman measuring my dad said, "you are shaped like a woman"... narrow waist and wide chest 🤣

Yes your hotel view is very nice....That is an interesting bath room right next to your bed there. There are some very nice hotels there in Hong Kong. On my layovers there I stayed at the Intercontinental Harbour View Hotel. We are next to the big convention center and a short walk over to the Star Ferry Company.

A custom suite will always look great on a man. Sharp looking! Can't wait to see you in a customized suit! My husband had 3 done in Beijing. We had to select from fabric to buttons to design to lining to thread. It was a half day process. He still looks great in those suits. Have a great time visiting your girlfriend.😊
Btw, I've been in a hotel room with the bathroom seeing into the bedroom... it felt weird but it was great watching tv from the tub.😅

Rick It's depend on the style you're looking for. But for a standard two button (wool) suit, it's around 650-700 USD.

where can you wear black? Black suits are classic! Any formal event. Basically, any wedding, special dinner, dancing, black and white dance, even work. Black is not just for funerals. You can never go wrong with black. best line, "my boobs are too big"
