Fantastic tutorial, not a second wasted! As someone who also makes video I can only imagine how much effort this must have been to plan, record, and edit.
Fantastic tutorial!! I appreciate your work. I just purchased the Neo for my wife, who likes to go hiking a lot, and now I can explain everything to her.
My Neo went underwater for a good 10 seconds. I immediately whipped it around to get the water out and finally buried it with uncooked rice 15 mins later. To my surprise, after 24 hours it's flying like usual again!
That rice thing is basically a myth. Rice would have to be in direct contact with the moisture to do anything at all, if it actually did then. Getting power off immediately and getting as much of the water out of it as possible is the best defense. Then put it where air can circulate through...in front of a small fan, or blowing it out gently with a hair dryer on a low setting. I saw one fellow that set it on a heating vent! I'm not sure how far I would go with that though...not sure a warped Neo would be much better than a damp one.
There is often nonsense about "water and electricity". Many circuit boards (and the components fitted to them) are washed in water after soldering. Typically, it's safe to wash in clean, warm water then to dry, perhaps in a *very* low oven if you're impatient (but not in a microwave oven). But remember that some components (like cameras) may trap water and so may take a very long time to dry fully. It's best to dry before switching on again. Batteries in a case should also be viewed with caution, perhaps discarded if any water has entered (and don't put one in any kind of oven).
@@mssippijim Why should it need to be in direct contact? The idea is to dry the air, so that water in/on the drone can more easily evaporate into that air. Use a sealed container and avoid getting rice granules (or dust) in the drone. For example, pour in the rice, cover it with a dry cloth then place the drone on top of that. Then seal the container as much as is practicable.
First time viewer of this channel. I must say, the info is very efficiently delivered to the viewer, no wasted words, clearly and concisely. Very good.
I just received my Neo and am nervous about flying it for the first time tomorrow. This is the best beginner video I've found and makes me feel better about it. Nerves slowly going away. Great explanation on every detail. Hope I don't ruin it. LOL.
I don’t watch tutorial videos on almost all products that I bought. But this is one of the exemption. I’m totally a neophyte in the world of gimbal; just received my DJI Neo today. This is a very good tutorial video. Many many thanks.
A superb, detailed and very clear tutorial. Absolutely excellent and I just love hearing the words "super cool" to describe a feature, as it reminds me of the time when I worked in Germany!
THANK YOU! Excellent video! I was trying to follow the sketchy user guide that came with my drone but was having trouble with the first step. Your video save me a lot of headaches.
Spitze! So stell ich mir ein Beginner- Video vor. Like und Abo, bro 😊 Dei Englisch is perfekt, die Aussprache a bissl Germish, aber ansonsten versteht ma alz 😂
Thank you for this super informative video. I have had my Neo for 4 days now and loving it. Was curious though as to how I could change the camera angle and what that little video/photo button meant (to the left of the stop/start video record button) when flying in manual mode , and you answered both of those questions for me. Very much appreciated. Love also the countryside that you’re filming in. Truly beautiful.
Thanks so much for this one! Simple straightforward and actually explains how to launch with the FlyMore Remote! Great work! I have subscribed! Have a great ‘25!
Thank you. My Neo is on order and when it arrives, I'll re watch your information. Looks fun a fun camera attachment to my cinematic tool bag. Thanks again for a concise and informative demo.
Nice video. But speaking out the activation word in the video is a NoGo 🤣 While i was playing with the settings you mentioned, you said "Hey Fly" and then something like "start", and suddenly my Neo, sitting on the desk in front of me, answered "no problem" and started the engines!! Luckily I was fast enough to put my hand on it... 😆
So good I’m watching it again. I just got mine and can’t believe how easy it is. I gave up on drones. To much of a pain in the behind. This is stupid easy.
Very top detailed tutorial 👍 I’m hoping a further DJI firmware update will include RTH from the phone app and the ability to reduce some basic exposure on the camera 🤞
Nice tutorial. If you are using the remote controller and flying manually, will the drone land in your palm if you fly it down to your palm? (in the same way that it would with the smartphone)
Day 2 and still no luck installing the firmware update.Have seen a couple of comments about the problems with Android phones but since that's all I have am stuck as keep getting network errors. Managed to sync the drone with the phone initially but although connected, it won't let me activate or install firmware. Very excited to use this and brilliant video. Subbed to your channel and can't wait to get this up and running !
Very sorry for that - just got the Action 5 Pro and had to update the firmware several times until it worked. Perhaps there is a manual way to do it: by downloading the firmware from the website and copying it via cable to the drone. But I'm not sure if that's possible with the NEO...but you could try
@@MountMediaChannel : Update - seemed to be a problem with my phone going through wi-fi. Using mobile phone data seemed to fix it as firmware updated and fired it up. Very impressed with the movement, functions and video quality for £169. Thanks again for your reply :)
Superb video. So clear and thorough. Many thanks indeed. Have liked, saved and subscribed. You briefly mentioned settings but not locking exposure for video or best settings for photography, which I’d like to use it for as well.
Our club would like to record pickleball matches with a drone autonomously. Do you recommend using the DJI NEO or flip? If so, how would you set up the drone?
awesome insight, Q1 in manual mode with controller how high will it go? Q2 in manual mode with controller how far will it go? Q3 in spotlight mode, the drone is locked in position as through its on a sky tripod, and followers the subject. How far can the subject go, before the drone gets upset...
Thanks I just purchased this drone today and yes I was wondering how can I load my videos into my telephone so I can see need to TikTok or UA-cam I'm having a little problem trying to download the video so I can see them on my files I'm having trouble with that maybe you can help
There is only a problem with the DJI Neo, if you want to transfer a video to the PC, I have to deal with the codec, I have to download a VLC app to watch the videos, but if I want to edit it, it accepts my video. editing program doesn't have it and can't edit it!. while my Canon camera and my Samsung phone also make MP4 videos and can be edited,, how is this possible!??.🤨
Very well made video. I tried to record audio while recording. With using the App and Phone it works like you explained. Is there a possibility to make this work while using the remote control?
Would like DJI to add "Camera" with timed shots, say 5 Sec & 10 Sec intervals to All the NEO preset shooting modes. At present think only the "Circle" mode offers timed photos. Only offering the "Video" Camera Mode is a bit limiting
So on phone control mode, you can select quick shots and also change settings for each quick shot. However, i can’t find a way to select custom (helix, direction follow) in the menu with RC-N3. Nor away to change settings on the other quick shots in the RC menu. ?
You know you guys put these videos up about this drone I want to purchase one but the only issue I have what happens if you’re walking around a bunch of people does it come off of you or does it go towards the other person? Nobody’s answered that question like if you’re walking into the park or something you got the drone following youdoes it come off of you and go to another person you never say anything about a crowd of people not one single video I’ve seen on UA-cam has done this.
Will the remote control image adjustment settings be saved and used again w/o the controller on the next flight or only when connected to the controller?
Very helpful. I am getting my Neo tomorrow and I am really excited to start using it. If I use Spotlight...does it come back to you automatically after a certain amount of time?
This is the BEST beginner NEO tutorial I've seen so far, by a LONG shot.
Fantastic tutorial, not a second wasted! As someone who also makes video I can only imagine how much effort this must have been to plan, record, and edit.

Putting modern tech in rice is bad due to static often attracting particles. It's something that perhaps used to be good but I wouldn't do it nowadays

Every other review on UA-cam told you can not tilt the camera in manual mode. You showed you can. Great video. 🙏 Thanks a lot.
