Wow, that's a great example of how to present a tutorial video. Clear, concise and no superfluous nonsense like so many videos. I knew nothing about drones so this was a brilliant introduction. Thank you so much.
Been looking at loads of videos to try and understand which drone I might want, this is easily the absolute best I've found from almost half a day viewing others. Thank you so much!
Amazing tutorial - spent an afternoon trying to figure out how to start and connect my Neo but was befuddled, then found your tutorial and learnt the whole thing in less than 40 minutes - brilliant - thank you!
Easily the BEST intro tutorial I've ever watched. Great content, great delivery. Just ordered my Neo. I have the Mavic 3 Classic, but i'm excited for this more portable drone. It will be nice to have in on me at all times and fire it up quickly to grab some quick videos. Again, great job!
I really enjoyed your video. You are the only one I've seen, explain the neo so basic and informative. I've been flying for years, and I have my 107. You are really an asset for beginners.
Thanks for a clear and concise introduction. I have just bought the Neo, my first drone here in Australia. I am on a fairly steep learning curve but that's fine. One thing I have worked out is when connecting to the app to turn off the VPN, it doesn't like it.
I noticed that it is not the controller from the Combo set you are using in the Video. Wouldn't it be more ideal that you use the controller that comes with the Combo set when you show how to use the controller. PS: Otherwise, it's actually a really good video for a beginner like me who has never flown or owned a drone. I actually bought the Combo set a few days ago and haven't tried it yet until I actually saw this video from you. So today is the day I have to try my first drone flight.
I have just purchased my Neo, what a great video, I just wished as I purchased the 'Combo Fly' your had demonstrated it with the RC-N3 controller came with it, instead of the controller you used. This is in no way a criticism of the video, I thought it was sooooooo helpful, and I have been subscribed to your channel for quite a while.
Sorry, I apologise, for some reason I only saw the last section of the video and missed the section near the beginning where you described everything about the controller, I have now watched the whole video and found it sooooooo helpful, thank you.
Thank you, very clear video tutorial. Subscribed immediately, just bought my neo which is my first drone. I hope to use it mainly for cycling/touring in Europe next summer. So now I'll have time to learn how to use it and with your help I'm sure I'll succeed 😊 On my S23 Ultra phone I had to remove the Google Play Protection in order to install the APK.
@AirPhotography I also tried the Light out app for editing, amazing stuff! To be able to edit on my mobile with AI, themes etc is really nice. To save and edit on PC weeks later is a chore, now I can upload my content in no time.
Nice video, I have tons of drones and have flown for years, but I still enjoy a good detailed explanation like this. Is it okay to leave the batteries in the charging hub during transport?
Yes, in fact, a lot of people do that just as a storage solution almost like a battery case keeps something from rattling around your camera bag or backpack. On top of that you can even bring a power bank with you and charge on the go.
Awesome video :-) ... I have a couple of questions: 1. Is the experience in the app exactly the same if you use the RC-N3 (with the phone) instead of RC 2 that you are using? 2. Are these batteries "smart" as the Mini 4 Pro's are, for example? Would they auto-discharge on their own to a proper level if not used? Thanks :-)
The Neo is comparable with the RC 2 and the RC-N3 ? Will the RC 2 with a Neo allow you to select an object on the screen and create an orbit on it? Great Vid. Thank You.
The NEO is a big step toward normalizing drones for everyday use by non-enthusiasts/hobbyists and professionals. Just press a couple of buttons with minimal learning and get excellent results.
Thank you, first time drone user…. Having trouble ACTIVATING, I keep getting an error message “0xfff”. Any suggestions on how to overcome this, as can’t move on to do anything else.
Thanks. Contacted them and they were no help. Need to access a computer, but as I’m on holiday, only have iPad, they cannot assist. Seems like a faulty unit. Such a waste of my time in Africa carrying around this thing.
They’re both excellent for what they do. The main difference is whether you want the hassle of mounting a phone. The rc2 with built-in screen is quicker to deploy but other than that, they both work very well
The thing not advised is that the dji fly app will not install on many android phones. I have a few with v10 to v14 that the app will not install on - a real pain.
Im basic user.i try to plug in usb c to c and work it.LED is running but i think the Neo fully Batt actually in DJI FLY apps the NEO Batteries only 85%.Its a normal?
Great video....I just got my Neo from Amazon, but I am wondering if I have a dud...Can anyone offer some info here? Dying to fly it, but it does not want to get past the Activate stage...when I press 'Activate' a page comes up with 'Agree', when I click on that, another page comes up saying 'not connected, please try again'. The app says that the Neo is connected, and I also have a good internet connection, all is turned on as it should, but just going round in circles. I tried the DJI help line, but they couldn't help....when I turn on the Neo it loads up, but the red flashing LED means it is not yet activated. I tried it on my mate's phone and the Fly app, but just the same. Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance......
I am still waiting to receive mine, but I cannot see how anyone could complain about a sub $200 drone with this kind of technology...truly amazing. I love DJI, I am sure hoping there is enough intelligence in our Senate to vote to not deprive the U.S. of the most innovative drones made.
I agree a lot of tech and capabilities for $200. There’s nothing even close on the market for that price that kid give you the same kind of performance.
I’m not sure you may have to call DJI support to get them to correct that. I’ve never had that issue so I don’t know how you would proceed from that. But I’m sure DJ I can get it cleared up on their end.
Cant activate the drone without the DJI Fly app... But yhe google play store doesnt support the DJI fly app. The download is also not compatible with google pixel phones or any of my samsung phones
HUGE PROBLEM.... If you buy JUST the drone, make sure you have a compatible cell phone (dji short list). Otherwise, you will NOT be able to Activate the unit (dji Fly App will not install) and you will have purchased a $200 brick (ask me how I know) lol
I just downloaded the DJI fly app from DJI website on a Google Pixel 7 no probs, after the apk downloaded there was a warning this file was built for an older version of android and may not be secure but there was an install anyway and it worked fine, and i also downloaded it on Samsung S24 plus.
Shawn thank you for your review. The Neo is very annoying with the high pitch. One question what if you have the Neo following you with others around you. ? I have only seen others using the follow mode alone.
I haven’t tested it with multiple people. I did however, a few days ago had to track in me while I was biking with a friend and it did stay locked on me even when he turned off.

Wow, thank you!
Thank you so much for this video ! I just ordered it on Amazon getting it tomorrow and can't wait to try it , this is my first drone.
Fantastic tutorial and great DJI Neo.
Ordered one today. Great tutorial. Look forward to my travel with it in Portugal.
The best tutorial I've found so far. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

Can you make a video on how to colorgrade the drone videos !?!
Your video footage is way better than other peoples
Fantastic. Best regards from Ireland. I love my neo
Great demonstration 😊
Excellent tutorial ❤

Thank you verygood tutorial, question can I use it without wifi? Thanks.
You do not need any internet connection
Great video. Just got my Neo and this tutorial was really helpful. Thanks!

Great video for a drone newbie! Thank you!
I hope you have also testing for this night flight thank you take care.
One of t best tutorial in Web- thanx
Wow, thanks!
Great video - an extremely helpful tutorial.
I was on the fence about the Neo; but You convinced me to pull the trigger, feels worth the $300 👍~Zack
Excellent video, super presentation, thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Got one today and charging as I watch this video 🎉
Nice 😊

Nice 1 Shawn
very nice presentation could you tell me the difference between follow and direction track
In the following mode, it follows you from behind. In direction track it’ll stay in front of you and fly backwards.
@@AirPhotography thank you
@@AirPhotography yes but it doesn't stand firmly in front of you, at some point it goes left and right and then stays behind you
Are you able to use your tablet instead of your phone as a controller with the DJI Fly App ?
You can
It took me a while to figure out how to adjust the gombal when in app manual control: theres a slider right on the side of the camera view.
Great tip Don thanks for sharing
Hi just want to ask before using the neo combo for first time do i need to put all the batteries on the drone to activate it?
Can I take pictures with the DJI neo ?
when using the tracking modes or quickshots, can you select in which area of the frame you want your subject to be, or is always centered?
You can move the camera slightly either to improve the framing or to get a little creative
Hello is there voice command for photos? Thank you
If you intend to use content for social media (e.g. vertical video) is it best to film in 4:3 aspect ratio ?
It does help when you have that aspect cause then when you crop either vertically or horizontal, you’re gonna get the most information
If your only using the drone how do u end things like spot like or rocket when it's moving away from you
Having only a one-axis gimbal movement it is able to keep the horizon leveled?
Yes, the rest is done with electronic image stabilization
I bought the first dji action and then the 2nd... I'm due for an upgrade! Hahahaha. I never brought a go pro... don't think i ever will hahahaha.😂
You didn’t tell us how to properly connect the controller to the drone
Can I use the DJI wireless mics with the drone?
You can’t connect directly to the drone, but definitely to your smart phone while recording audio
Hello, I have mini 2 and i want to know if my remote from mini 2 is compatible with neo? Thank you
Question : Dji néo + RC-N3 + Goggles 3 are compatible ?
Thank you, first time drone user…. Having trouble ACTIVATING, I keep getting an error message “0xfff”. Any suggestions on how to overcome this, as can’t move on to do anything else.
I’m not sure really I would get a hold of DJI support and they’ll be able to walk you through or get it activated manually
Thanks. Contacted them and they were no help. Need to access a computer, but as I’m on holiday, only have iPad, they cannot assist. Seems like a faulty unit. Such a waste of my time in Africa carrying around this thing.
Does it make sense to spend €360 on the RC 2 for the Neo or is the RC-N3 better at the price of a third?
They’re both excellent for what they do. The main difference is whether you want the hassle of mounting a phone. The rc2 with built-in screen is quicker to deploy but other than that, they both work very well
I buy it today in Pakistan i love it

Tankssssss 🙏
Could the drone follow (track) like a remote control car?
Perhaps it is possible I haven’t tried it yet. It is on my list of things to test. I’ve had a few people ask me about that.
Great video....I just got my Neo from Amazon, but I am wondering if I have a dud...Can anyone offer some info here? Took me hours.

Can you charge the battery with a power bank?
Yes, indeed you can
@@AirPhotographycool. Then I guess I don’t need a second battery….
@@adelineng7883power bank will be very slow though.
Newbie here, can it handle rain?
It’s not a good idea to fly in the rain. It could damage the electronics inside.
Everything is pretty well protected bar the power socket.
But drones dont like rain because their rotors are too small and the airflow gets messed.
I think I accidentally made my Neo as flyaway aircraft. Now whenever I tried using it, it say "Designated Flyaway Aircraft." How do I fix this??
I’m not sure you may have to call DJI support to get them to correct that. I’ve never had that issue so I don’t know how you would proceed from that. But I’m sure DJ I can get it cleared up on their end.
I want to use it on a boat does anyone have any experience over water?
❤️🔥🌈❤️
is it fast enough to follow a car?
At a very slow rate of speed, perhaps but you would need a controller. Went in autonomous mode. It must only follow a person
@@AirPhotography thanks
I do not believe it charges all three at the same time. It charges one battery at a time. I have to wait almost 2.5 hours to charge my batteries.
Get a 65 watt charger and it will charge all batteries in minutes!
Remote control, oh, I didn't write it in the description
Scary when it loses controlwatch this video: Dji Neo CRASH Drone TOTALLY CRAZY NO CLICKBAIT
