You guys seemed to have mixed up a bit of stuff with the Velaryons and the Valyrians. House Targaryen and House Velaryon are ethnically "Valryian". Valyria is an ancient empire that no longer exists, the Targaryens and Velaryons are both descended from that empire.
Why they gotta be spelled so similar
Balerion the bkack dread died of old age, 7 years before jahaerys held his council, he was 200 years old. fun fact Viserys was last targaryen to ride balerion, and then viserys rode him once and never flew on a dragon again
King Viserys was actually the last rider of Balerion the Dread and after it died of old age, Viserys never took another dragon.

The Velaryons are another Valyrian family, like the Targaryns, who escaped the doom that destroyed Valyria itself (Valyria was basically a magical Roman Empire, but with dragons that was destroyedin a massive volcanic cataclysm).
The Valyrians controlled a big Empire in Easos, but had never invaded Westeros. They held a few island territories just off Westeros's east coast.
The Velaryons were a mid level noble family who were never dragon riders back in Valyria itself. They moved to one of the Islands: called Driftmark, before the Targaryns moved away from Valyria.
Later the Targaryns moved to Dragonstone, and the Velaryons acted as their chief retainer House and naval support for centuries even before Aegon invaded Westeros.
Because of this the Velaryons have the closest relationship of any house to House Targaryn. If the Targaryns couldn't intermarry they would often marry a Velaryon. Aegon the Counquerer's mother was a Velaryon for instance.
I don't know if you consider the color of dragons a spoiler so **minor spoiler warning** If the show sticks to canon we should see a couple blue dragons in this series 🙂

I think you got it the other way around because unlike the TV series in the book Jon Sow is currently technically dead after been stabbed bleeding out in the snow.
And Daenareys is still in Essos
And there is another character named (f)Aegon that is possibly another Targaryen or maybe a Blackfyre.
Caitlin is also reanimated and is called Lady StoneHeart... and she all about the murders.
And Euron isn’t a useless f*ckbøy... he’s a mystical one-eyed pirate king that utilized magic and mystical things to further his goals.
Pretty much EVERY character is different.

Can you guys balance the audio to where your commentary volume is a bit lower to match the video?
I tend to turn up the volume up to hear the episode, but have to turn it down from the commentary being too loud.
It's my fault though, I'm watching this early in the morning when everyone is asleep, I should probably invest in some headphones 🎧

Alicent Hightower, Otto (the Hand)'s daughter, is supposed to be close to Rhaenyra's age, 15 in this episode. The actress was about 18 when she started filming, I believe; while the actress playing Rhaenyra was 21 or 22.
Old town and the High Tower is where they train the Maesters. ((the scientists and researchers not the septons who rule the church.))So have seen old town when Sam wassent to the tower.

The Guy who fought Ned stark in thr flash back, was Ser Arther Dayne from house Dayne of Dorne. He is the best swordman in A song of ice and Fire history. He had the Lagendary sword - The sword of the morning star
possibly. there have been other Swords of the Morning. And there was Daemon Blackfyre who was said to fight like a god.
the sword of the morning Is a title of house dayne given to the wielder of Dawn ,the valyrian steel sword of house Dayne. and yes there were others besides sir arthur dayne

I found the easter egg / foreshadowing about the night king and white walkers is quite cheesy lol. I don't think there's information about aegon's dream in the lore. In fact the reason or at least the thing that kick-started his conquest was offers from King of Stormlands (King argilac durrandon) to take his daughter to be one of aegon's wife and offer part of the mainland to him, but that part of land actually belong to iron isles and rivers kingdom (now riverlands). So aegon have to conquer iron isles and rivers himself to get that land. Basically king argilac wanted to get rid of his rival and join forces with the Targaryen. Aegon refused and send a representative to Stormlands to give King argilac counter-offer to marry his daughter to aegon's bastard brother: orys baratheon. King argilac responded with sending body part (I don't remember if it's a head or a hand) of aegon's representative. And from that was the beginning of his plan to conquer westeros by sending letters to all Kingdoms on westeros to bent the knee.
GRRM in an interview 3-4 years back didn't confirm nor deny when a fan asked whether Aegon I had dream of The Others (book version of White Walkers.)
GRRM and Ryan said this was STRAIGHT FROM GEORGE.
