Just sayin' -- when I am feeling cold....besides the layers -- it really helps me to wear a knitted scarf or small shawl wrapped around my neck. And esp so when going out in the cold. And to pop on a knitted beanie too! I know you have both and just more opportunities to wear our handmade Lovlies! Enjoying your daily vlogs.
When I’m cold, I sometimes find that wrapping my neck and upper chest helps me to stay warmer. When I’m really cold, I put foot warmers in my shoes. I used to rely on them when I worked for my morning walk from the train to my office in very cold Boston, MA (US). The foot warmers last up to 8 hours. They are really great.
I’m with others on the cold thing…I’m seldom without a ‘buff’, small shawl/scarf or a cowl. I knit or buy to match outfit I’m wearing. Always in nice fine wool. No bulky scarf getting in way. My neighbour swears by gilets- indoors and out. But yes, for me I get cold looking at bare necks! Always been same. Cardi 90% of summer. It’s annoying. Oh and cold makes me miserable and withdrawn. Weird,yes. I have always envied people wearing sleeveless vests 🙃. My vests are deep within layers - never to be seen or admired. Well done Bill on his journey. Nice door painting job. Glad you were a bit warmer today Gayna. Feeling cold is horrid and drains you of energy I find. For me, wearing a snug fitting cosy cowl around the house helps, and is more practical than having a scarf flapping! Maybe worth adding one to your existing layers to see if it works for you. I was thinking about buying some UGG slippers to keep my feet warm this winter, but now I have serious slipper envy as your sheepskin slippers look much nicer! Can I ask which brand they are please? I’m loving these daily vlogs. I can’t imagine how you’re managing to produce them on top of everything else you fit into your busy days. Huge appreciation ❤

That pickle yarn is gorgeous & will look so good on you sadly doesn’t suit my complexion colouring I look jaundice but my eyes are always drawn to the colour 😤 I’m a aqua to teal spectrum person along navy grey greige ( grey/beige ) in my wardrobe 😅😂🤣

Gayna, I commiserate with you about always being cold. What has helped me is wearing wool wrist warmers! I know...but if your wrists are warm, it seems to warm the rest of you...I also have arthritis and I have less pain in my hands and arms wearing them..😊
Gayna When we were stationed in Germany back in the ‘80’s we learned that you lose 50% of your body heat thru your head. Being from Alabama I thought I’d freeze there! So wear a nice knit hat and see if it helps. Found a scrappy hat pattern recently and have been stash busting my leftover yarn for hats for my family.

The pattern is lovely, but I have a pattern which is similar. Also thinking of doing another Montana dress - it will be my third/😍
Eat some yummy carbs. They will warm you up. When I went keto (low carb) I was always cold. Except when those darn hot flashes hot. Awe, the joys of being a woman. 😎

I agree, amazing what a difference it makes to my temperature if the back and base of my neck is covered
I wear polo necks jumpers for that same reason

The fabric is a linen weave type. I’ve made the skirt now and it’s utterly lovely and was ever so easy to sew too. X
