"What's his name?" Hailey says whilst holding two books by Rick Riordan with his name printed on the front 😂😂 I think you have stressed out moving brain, girl
Anyone else find it emotional her being back in her parents house and she’s moving and has grown so much but still the same beautiful smile with such a wonderful energy and personality 🥺❤️
I needed to put my books in storage for 7 month and wanted to minimize the amount beforehand. I went through all of them and got rid of maybe a hundred. Then I went through all of them again and a third time as well and with each time I got harsher. In the end I unhauled over 300 books. I did the same once before when I moved out of my parents house. That time I unhauled over 700 XD So my tipp for everyone trying to minimze is: go through all of them multiple times. It really helped me to only keep the ones I really wanted to.
What are you planning on doing with the fairy loot edition of Caraval? It’s one of my favorite books and I’ve been looking for that edition forever! Any way I could buy it from you?
I like unhauls better than hauls. I love to think that the books that you own you have it because you really love it or want to reread it, not like other people here on UA-cam that they just buy and buy in extreme consumerism.
I’m so So glad you kept: “A hundred years of solitude”, it is considered as one of the greatest books ever written and frankly speaking I couldn’t agree more! I think you’ll love Remedios, she reminds me of Alice so much!
I love unhauls like this, where we see your decision making progress! I’m sure you’re excited to have your whole collection together once you find your new house! I am older than you and was already an adult when a lot of Sarah Dessen’s books came out, but I really love them. I believe some of hers are being made into a Netflix show or movie soon. They are great summertime reads!
Arcs will always hold a special place in my heart. I always feel so special when I win them off Goodreads 😅 can only imagine how it feels to just get books sent to you without asking.
i am literally crying with that Caraval unhaul because I’ve been searching for it high and low but the resale prices is literally a weeks work worth 😢😢😢
Hailey, what I do with big books. Just read a chapter or 2 everyday. While reading your other book or books. It will take longer to read the large book but it will get there. I usually focus on the bigger book before bed. Always worked for me.
I bought The Priory Of The Orange Tree because it had ‘International Bestseller’ on the front. 😒 It was so slow and took me a whole week to read it and really, not that much really happened (that’s just my opinion anyway) so I don’t think you’re missing much😉Don’t get me wrong, there wasn’t anything wrong with the book; I just hate slow books with a passion 😒😉
This video is so so satisfying! I was thinking maybe you could do an unhaul in the future, but instead of donating the books, you could do a giveaway and the winners could pick a book that you are getting rid of? I think that would be a really cool concept, and I know I would love having a loved book on my shelf that has also been on yours! Great video today!
Harry mulish is indeed a Dutch author. You can call him one of the greats in our country. One of his books is like a standard work for high schoolers, I did not read it but you know, he did write like the typical classic literature you could read in school.
Makes me want to go through all my books and do a purge. I already started doing that with the books in my apartment but I have a whole mother collection at my mom’s that I need to go through 😵💫🥴
I don't mean to be negative or anything, and I wish her well, but It's getting rough in Quebec for the English community though. I'm thinking about moving out of Quebec myself.
Watching unhaul videos are always interesting to me getting to see what is let go and why, and on a very random note Sarah Dessen was the author who made me fall in love with books when I was in middle school
Yay, you got your vaccine! Thank you for doing that! I love when I go through old boxes I had at my parents for years. I went through a bunch of old college stuff I never took with me and donated so many clothes and kitchen ware to our local charities. It was fun actually. Especially after being away from your stuff for so long you know better if you missed it or not.
I feel the same about The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan! I wasn’t in love with the story and probably won’t continue the series. Now I’m wondering why it’s still on my shelf 🤔
My family has roughly 8,000 books (most of which are my dad's collected over 50 years). I decided when I was a teen that I didn't want to spend money on books I wasn't sure I would like and could get from a free source (library or ebook). Because of that my personal collection is between 150 and 200 but I still go through once or twice a year and usually get rid of a couple (or return them to the proper room of the house). Personally I believe that if I enjoyed some of the books in a series but not all I can get rid of the ones I done like unless vital to the storyline. For example I choose to believe Divergent is a standalone book and I wouldn't keep the others, or Enchanted Forest Chronicles I just bought but didn't bother getting the 4th since it was a disappointment and the others can be enjoyed without it. But I have a series (can't remember which one) that one of the middle books just wasn't as good but is vital to the rest of the story. I have a number of books that I am keeping for when I have kids and those might end up living at my parents' for a while after I move out depending on where I live lol. Sometimes I wish I could have hard copies of every book and series I enjoyed but then I remind myself I have a digital copy and I didn't love the book enough for it to have space in my room.
Jeff Zentner is my absolute favorite author! His books are so amazing, but I never see anyone reading them! I hope you love Goodbye Days as much as I do!
i’m kinda surprised to hear you’re not a fan of words in deep blue... I usually love the same books that I hear you do, and I loved that one from what I remember.
I never see anyone talk about Ink/The Paper Gods by Amanda Sun and was surprised to see it pop up here lol! Such a fun underrated paranormal romance series, I might need to reread those ASAP.
I am loving the unhauls lately. I probably should purge some of mine as I still live at home so I only have one bookcase but I can't bring myself to part with more than one book at a time, plus I have quite a few to read and I haven't been reading much lately. You should try the trilogy by Alice Broadway called Ink, Spark and Scar, They might not be your cup of tea but you might enjoy them.
I do a harsh culling of my books every six months to make room for new ones. I'm such a mood reader that something I bought a few years ago may not be of interest to me at all now. I feel the same as you about Strange The Dreamer. It's soooo slow and nothing happened until the very end! I'm so mad I put so many hours into it. Ugh.
Mapping the Bones was a great book - would definitely recommend picking it up sometime in the future. Completely understand getting rid of it for moving sake
How do you determine what books you want to keep and books you want to get rid of? I always want to get rid of the books that I read but instantly regret it 😭. After watching your videos I want my bookshelves to be as aesthetically pleasing as yours.
I'm not a fan of huge books too currently. I have an old fantasy series which are big books but I'm keeping them because it was my favourite series. I don't think I'll ever read a large book in the Fantasy genre again. I'm a huge Stephen King fan. I'm keeping IT but I've unhauled all my other books of him that are over 500 pages. I just don't have the time to read large books lol
Just wondered what you think of the Storm and Fury Series by Jennifer Armentrout? I’m not sure of exact title of series? You’ve got a lot of books! I love the ARC of The Cruel Prince.
Hey Hailey! What do you do with the books you're getting rid of? I live in the same city as you and as I'm watching this I'm seeing lots of books I'd love to buy from you!
Just got to the end of the video, so nice of you to donate the books! Best of luck with the move! Hopefully see you around sometime when you're back visiting your parents.
Don’t know why but I liked unhauls more than actual hauls 🧐
i think i like them because they're what i wish i could bring myself to do
maybe because people usually give explanations and stuff like that for unhauls? i agree unhauls are more enjoyable
Maybe cuz it doesn’t make you want to spend money! Definitely why I prefer them 😂
Some of these books are such a throwback to like 2015 booktube and it makes me feel so nostalgic
Saaame! This is so nostalgic 🥺🥺 Like I want to read or reread them again
"What's his name?" Hailey says whilst holding two books by Rick Riordan with his name printed on the front 😂😂 I think you have stressed out moving brain, girl
I was thinking the same thing like girl you have the book in you hand cant you look at it
🤡 I wanted to remember without looking 😂
Hailey: "I did enjoy this one, but I'm going to let it go."
Also Hailey: "I wasn't a fan of this one... but I'm going to hang on to it."
😂😂
Hahahah it depends on the book 🤡 it’s so hard to explain why I’m getting rid of something
Hailey purging books: "I think I'll let this one go"
My inner minimalist singing: "Let it goooo, let it goooo..."
Hahahaha meanwhile I’m not at all a minimalist so my soul cried a bit the whole time 😂
It hurts a little to see you get rid of that edition of Caraval but otherwise, love a good unhaul!
It is a beautiful one! I just don’t need it really
Same & it was a beautiful copy 😩
@@HaileyinBookland I would sell it though (instead of just getting rid of it). The UK editions go for a lot of money these days 😅
Anyone else find it emotional her being back in her parents house and she’s moving and has grown so much but still the same beautiful smile with such a wonderful energy and personality 🥺❤️
Aw thank you 🥰
I love how she said “i’ll keep it just in case”. I do that too but like just in case of what 😂
I needed to put my books in storage for 7 month and wanted to minimize the amount beforehand. I went through all of them and got rid of maybe a hundred. Then I went through all of them again and a third time as well and with each time I got harsher. In the end I unhauled over 300 books.

Commenting so it can get bumped up 🙌🏾❤️❤️
I love your unhauls! They’re so therapeutic 😍
Same
This was such a throwback with all the old booktube fave books that used to be everywhere...
My mom ordered me Red White and Royal Blue!!! I can’t wait to read it!!!! Thanks for the recommendation!!!!
I like unhauls better than hauls. I love to think that the books that you own you have it because you really love it or want to reread it, not like other people here on UA-cam that they just buy and buy in extreme consumerism.
You should open a depop account and sell some books, I love buy used books 😍
I can’t wait to see your library in the new home
I’m so So glad you kept: “A hundred years of solitude”, it is considered as one of the greatest books ever written and frankly speaking I couldn’t agree more! I think you’ll love Remedios, she reminds me of Alice so much!

I've never watched any of Hailey's videos before but 10 seconds in and I was already smiling :) I love her voice and personality.
Hailey: I’m never going to read this/didn’t like it. I should get rid of it.
Me: get rid of it.
Hailey: maybe pile
Arcs will always hold a special place in my heart. I always feel so special when I win them off Goodreads 😅 can only imagine how it feels to just get books sent to you without asking.
My Cassandra Clare loving heart is relieved to see you keeping the mortal instruments
I LOVE big books!! 📚 makes me feel so cozy knowing I will have more time with the characters and the world.
That first box was a great throwback to Booktube circa 2014. So many books that I had forgotten about!
while watching unhaul videos, I like to imagine that i am gonna get all of these books😂
How it's possible to remember all this things about every single book?? Omg all this books look so amazing!
You can always do a try a chapter for your maybes to think if you like the writing style
i am literally crying with that Caraval unhaul because I’ve been searching for it high and low but the resale prices is literally a weeks work worth 😢😢😢
I think I would die for that copy of the book thief. And probably Caraval too
Hailey, what I do with big books. Just read a chapter or 2 everyday. While reading your other book or books. It will take longer to read the large book but it will get there. I usually focus on the bigger book before bed. Always worked for me.

I’m never good at getting rid of books. I am always like I might read this someday.
This video is so so satisfying! Can we just take a moment to recognise how many beautiful hardcover copies you own 😀❤️
Harry mulish is indeed a Dutch author. You can call him one of the greats in our country. One of his books is like a standard work for high schoolers, I did not read it but you know, he did write like the typical classic literature you could read in school.
“Next is strange the dreamer, I did not like this book 😅” books with Chloe : 👁💧👄💧👁 what-
I WAS LITERALLY THINKING THIS I KNOW SHE WAS JUST LOOKING AT THE SCREEN LIKE:
🧍🏻♀️ 🧍🏻♀️ 🧍🏻♀️
*and I took that personally.*
Always love a good unhaul. Decluttering always feels so satisfying! 🖤
I love how you were asking what Rick Riordan name was when you had the books in your hand to tell you. That's something I would do. 😂
This is my 20th video of yours today….your videos are so comforting and real … honestly getting me through law school
Hailey uploads a video
Me: it’s time to stop studying and watch book unhaul !
Makes me want to go through all my books and do a purge. I already started doing that with the books in my apartment but I have a whole mother collection at my mom’s that I need to go through 😵💫🥴
WHY DID I NOT KNOW YOU WERE MOVING TO QUEBEC..!? I am so jealous! 😭 I love Quebec, such a gorgeous province
I don't mean to be negative or anything, and I wish her well, but It's getting rough in Quebec for the English community though. I'm thinking about moving out of Quebec myself.
i’ve been watching for years but i never comment on youtube videos. just wanted to say your videos are so calming to me and i always love watching :)
Watching unhaul videos are always interesting to me getting to see what is let go and why, and on a very random note Sarah Dessen was the author who made me fall in love with books when I was in middle school
Haileys videos make me so excited and happy !
I'm in Québec super excited to have you come here hahahaha another book fan in the province !
Yes, yes, yes!! I LOVED your last unhaul video and this one was even better!! They are so therapeutic! lol
i am loving these titles! for some reason, parentheses make the title so much more interesting!
Loved Goodbye Days! Jeff Zentner never fails, and his stories always seem so real. I think you’ll enjoy it a lot :)
Yay, you got your vaccine! Thank you for doing that! I love when I go through old boxes I had at my parents for years. I went through a bunch of old college stuff I never took with me and donated so many clothes and kitchen ware to our local charities. It was fun actually. Writing in books makes my heart go all wobbly !!
Wow I am so early we love to see it!! 🥳 I love watching your unhaul videos, Hailey!
Thank you!!! 💜

I just moved and had to do this same thing! Getting ride of books is hard!
I collect Markus Zusak books as in every edition I can get my hands on so I NEED that bridge of clay ARC
I loveeeeeee unhauls, my favorite type of videos on booktube
I love her detailed description of and were off oh yh she goes with her mother It was ok 👌👌 man I actually love Hailey❤
i’m kinda surprised to hear you’re not a fan of words in deep blue... I usually love the same books that I hear you do, and I loved that one from what I remember.
Nooooooooo! Keep Grave Mercy! Such an underappreciated series and one of my faves of all time!😍😍😍The Giver and Catcher in the Rye you can toss out😁
I never see anyone talk about Ink/The Paper Gods by Amanda Sun and was surprised to see it pop up here lol! Such a fun underrated paranormal romance series, I might need to reread those ASAP.
Nooooo 😭😭😭 gutted to see you get rid of the boneless mercies, it is so underrated and so good, I've been hoping you would read it for so Long!!!!
I am loving the unhauls lately. I think you said you founded a Little Free Library in a nearby school near you, so are you going to found another one on your new area?
What do you do with these books when you’re getting rid of them, some look so cool!! Like Caraval I want to get!
Same 😭
A lot of her books she donates to her old high school because they dont really have a library
the amount of books you unhauled is more then the amount of books on my shelf 😭🤚
Ugh.
I am living for all of these uploads rn!! Gosh I just love Hailey!
Mapping the Bones was a great book - would definitely recommend picking it up sometime in the future. Completely understand getting rid of it for moving sake
Love unhauls! Would love to have the copies of Priory Arc and Dream Thieves Arc ❤️🥺 those two are my favorite authors!!
i did a massive unhaul when i moved as well and it was actually pretty freeing!
Grave mercy is a good one
Arc of priory of the orange tree?? 👀 🐉 I wish I lived closer to you so I could snatch that book up from the store you give it to!! 😭💔
Priory is amazinggggg.
Goodbye Days is a really good read!!!
I died a little on the inside when you got rid of Caraval. (;
I really enjoyed this unhaul! ❤️
How do you determine what books you want to keep and books you want to get rid of? I always want to get rid of the books that I read but instantly regret it 😭. After watching your videos I want my bookshelves to be as aesthetically pleasing as yours.
I loved watching you do this unhaul!
Trying so hard to resist asking for that Cruel Prince arc…. But obviously not resisting fully…
these tubs seem like a time capsule so when one familiar book is pulled out im like "hey i remember a video that was in!"
I really should go through my shelves too 😅😅
I'm not a fan of huge books too currently. I have an old fantasy series which are big books but I'm keeping them because it was my favourite series. I don't think I'll ever read a large book in the Fantasy genre again. I'm a huge Stephen King fan. I'm keeping IT but I've unhauled all my other books of him that are over 500 pages. Ugh thank you for this video, not feeling good. I love book unhauls.. great videos!
read what the night sings!!! it’s so amazing!
Omg I read unhaul as haul and I was shocked to see city of lost souls I was like "that can't be- where is hailey and what have you done with her?"😭
I have The Muse but not read it yet. Looks like you're getting rid of a lot and I hope the move goes well
Omg I have a Wreck This Journal too!
Now I really wanna know what you did with the maybe pile books! Did she keep them, did she get rid of them?? I wanna know! AHHHH.
Just wondered what you think of the Storm and Fury Series by Jennifer Armentrout?
I’m not sure of exact title of series? You’ve got a lot of books! I love the ARC of The Cruel Prince.
I will happily take that Caraval book! I don’t have any of them!
Nooooo please keep the tenth girl, that book is so good!! 😫
i cant believe ive watched you sorting through books that ive never heard of for thirty minutes... oh well its books so
I’m curious of where you give away your books at? I’m sure you don’t want to throw them in the trash. Where do you give them away?
Her old high school
Please read Dance of Thieves!! It's my favorite book! Would love to hear your thoughts on it, Hailey :)
I love your videos. Hope you will be safe ❤️
How many times hailey said : so i want to hang on to this... lol
I liked Give the Dark My Love but it has the zombie/necromancer element so that might explain why you didn't like it.
I love unhaul videos!
