Got mine yesterday in Canada!! First foldable, love it so far. I'm stunned by the quality of the build , it feels so premium and durable. Still getting use to the form factor of course and still super afraid to handle it haha but I'm impressed so far !
Samsung's return (and trade in) policy really is amazing! I ordered a Flip 5 when it launched. Think I only owed $40 after a trade in. I used the Flip for a few days, and realized it just wasn't for me as my primary device. I hadn''t sent my trade yet, so just returned the new phone to Samsung with no problems at all, and got my $40 back ✅💯

I made the switch from iPhone 13 pro max to Google fold but like he said the components are a little year old and Im getting a great deal with the trade in. I enjoy foldable will not be going back to regular phone

I don't really have a problem with the 6 being an incremental upgrade from the Z Fold5. My problem is: I LOVE my Fold5! Going to wait until next year and see if the Fold7 can entice me.

I already have my white strap case. It's thinner than the strap case for the Z4 and it looks so good. I might buy a couple in case it changes color. Also had a chance to see the orange/leather case at the 500 Broadway location. That might be my favorite. It's like a pumpkin orange.

stop saying it's a minor update it's not . New cpu / larger screen/ new design/now same weight than a iphone 14 pro max/ 2600nits on both display / faster storage/larger front display/larger 7.6 inner screen because of the different ratio .Samsung will not reinvent the wheel each year if you want a drastic difference go with the competition. But there's plenty of changes. Also stop upgrading each freaking year they don't come with 5 years of update for nothing. (i know now it's 7 years)
I've had the fold 5 for over a year now and I love the phone. I purchased a OnePlus open to see what the hype was about and honestly it's such a great phone. Definitely feels like a regular sized phone and I like the almost invisible hinge and matte black anti reflective screen protector.
I want one so bad, but I just can’t get over the few issues you mention. They kill it for me. It’s like selling a beautiful Lamborghini without wheels.
Giving it a try to switch from the iPhone 15PM, let’s see…

I have Parkinson's disease was wondering how it is opening and closing the phone.I have tremors mainly in my left hand
I'm used to 22ultra and had several notes I want to have a new experience but I don't know if the fold will be a issue.
It’s pretty much easy to open and close the phone but having the right case can make it easier. I recommend the Samsung case with pen. It should help with grip and protection and opening.

Im a fan of incremental improvement to be honest. I lived through the 2010s with smartphones and a different design and leaps in ability year over year. Glad to see we are at a point of maturity where it's refinements and software abilities (abilities that in most cases make there way down to older devices).
I just ordered mine. I am trading in my Fold 5.. I'm not as excited as I thought I would be like in the past. I upgrade Fold and pixel every year.. I'm more excited for the pixel. That I actually can't wait for...
I've just ordered one coming from a s23u, sounds like the camera is a downgrade but other than that sounds like exactly what i need. I was actually looking at getting a samsung tablet before i come across the fold. Fingers crossed its reasonably durable.

I have an s24 ultra. I'm bored with the slab phone, gonna try the z fold 6 because I've never had a foldable. I know there are many downgrades like battery, camera, screen quality, ect. But i just want to try it. Always loved the boxy shape and i might as well live a little

I anguished over whether to upgrade from zf5. I don't think $700 on top of the $1200 is worth what was upgraded but I pulled the trigger and ordered anyway. Why? I know me, I'm gonna wind up with the zf6 anyway, either by dropping the zf5 or just flat out fomo, might as well take advantage of the incentives now. I ordered the case w/s pen and buds 3pro.
I'm staying with samsung because my lifestyle. I use the s pen (mainly smart select to copy text from images is vital) , I use 3 apps at a time often (taking the railroad, I have my ticket app, YT and text app).
I'm not buying the watch ultra, I have the watch 6 classic, I don't need the lte or longer battery (I have several watch charges). I use my watch for remote photos I take tons of group pics (important to me) and mostly the I use Samsung pay via the watch which is awesome and badass (to this nerd anyway).
I refuse to live in a world without these things and I don't know why no one considers these when reviewing the other foldables.
I cannot wait for mine to get here!!

@@TechOdyssey I was having a hard time between the white and the pink. I chose pink and now wish I chose white since I got the white ultra watch. I usually go for blue or black or grey but wanted to try something different since my iPhone is the grey titanium. 😁

I thank you for pointing out the fact that the other manufacturers may not be necessary give you the software updates add security patches on time also why is it okay for Apple to have the same design on their phone for many years and nobody ever complained like this they always expect Samsung to do some major changes to the design of the phone

Ok so everyone says this year's trade in program is the best. Samsung has ever had as if no one remembers being able to trade in 2 phones towards the Galaxy Fold4 during that pre-order season.

@TechOdyssey Maybe you got the 💩 end of the stick, but I had a smooth transaction. For my 512GB Fold 4 I got $775 back on a S22 that costed $799 & $450 back on an iPhone 12mini that retailed for $599 (but I got it free on a carrier promo anyway) so that's a total of $1250 in trade value on top of the $300 Samsung credit that they were basically throwing at people just for pre-ordering ($150 initial plus bonus double credit to match double storage) which got me the heavily discounted Buds 2 Pro & Buds 2 (which I sold) all in the same order for a grand total of $675.00. I had a great time, I dunno what you were doing...
Samsung won't do it again because they are in all likelihood still recovering financially from the first time.💯
Could not justify 24U trade in still left phone too expensive. But in person it was nice and thinner than fold 5. Maybe next year.
Only reason I got the Ultras and Notes? Screen size. The S Pen is really niche.

I personally wouldn't, I'd think fold 4 is still strong. I went from note 9 to fold 6, but then again I don't tend to change often.

It depends. If you want to use the bleeding edge in technology then no as the s24 ultra is the best android phone on the market. If you want a good phone, able to use a screen protector witbout losing anti-glare on the ultra with the specs of an base S24 but folds out to a tablet that you can use the s pen, then go with the fold

Why is black and white exclusive colors when they should be the base colors at all times. It seems like Samsung is being greedy this year by making it more expensive and holding on to the more popular colors. I always use a case but I'm a fan of white electronics vs black. The blue does look decent tho if I had to pick any of the base colors.
