*** thank you*** for this update, Rachel.
TOMORROW.... OCT 12, 2022, I will start my first prolotherapy on my Cervical Spine.
I was diagnosed in Jan 2022 (1 month shy of my 40th birthday) with hyper-mobile Ehlers danlos syndrome [hEDS]. I am in Canada and had been following both YOU + CARING MEDICAL [CM] separately, ... and after seeing you both I was like ..."oh man I hope Rachel can get into see Dr. Hauser!"... and wow! before I knew it.. there you were, posting your first videos at CM in JAN '22 (@ the time of my official diagnosis). so yea...tomorrow, I start prolotherapy... but I have already begun to heal today. I have probably had cervical instability since my childhood. ... fast FWD to today, and I Thank God for this team of amazing human beings [@CM] that share their knowledge in order to heal others! The Caring Medical Staff, facilities, etc, ... as well as the Fort Meyers community. MY thoughts and prayers are with you during these rebuilding times for you. Be blessed! ~Amber

So happy for your healing! and Thank you for sharing. I also have pots, lyme and eds with neck issues and cannot tolerate flying due to the pressure changes. I feel like my head was left back on the ground when the plane takes off and it is very scarey feeling. I am very sensative to the pressure changes. Just wondering how you are able to fly? suggestions? Thank you for sharing. Love to you

Hi Rachael! I’ve watched so many of your videos, and I couldn’t be happier for you. This is such a beautiful milestone!🙌🏼 Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I wanted to ask your opinion on something. After all that you’ve been through, where would you recommend someone to start?Caring medical? Dr. Centeno? I have hEDS, multiple autoimmune diseases, MCAS, POTS, CCI, AAI, cervicomedullary syndrome, & possible chiari. I’m currently doing PRP on my jaw and shoulder first, but I’m not sure who to see afterwards. I’ve scheduled with Dr. Henderson, but want to explore all possible regenerative options first. Thanks in advance!❤

Thank you for sharing your progress Rachael. Please know that it is of tangible help to others, like myself. I drive with a collar but shy from wearing it otherwise, which is not smart as it provides a lot of relief. My hope is vested in following the programme set by Dr Hauser and Dr Hutcheson and, in time, to return to Caring Medical for prolotherapy. The very best to you and your husband. God bless.

Congratz! not wearing it in the car is impressive. I can't get one prescribed to me even tho I really really need one for certain situations (cars flights etc) even tho I'm on the verge of passing out.
Edit: also I appreciate your brutal honesty about surgery

congrats on your progress. unfortunately I have the same problems you were having before you're diet and prolotherapy. One problem is I can't sleep on my back either,, The SLEEPING POSITION that works for me is to sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs., rolling over every 2 hours. So far, sleeping on my side (3 years) the pain and neuro symptoms are bearable sleeping this way. I.m so thrilled with your progress.

Thank you so much! ❤️ Brain retraining with DNRS has been the most helpful thing for my histamine intolerance and MCAS by far. Personally I believe those reactions are a sign of a dysregulated nervous system stuck in “fight or flight”. I’ll try to share more as I can!! 😊

I bet it’s the increase in vagal tone that’ll be starting to dampen the MCAS. Would be cool to measure the blood IgE over time and see it go down as gut tolerance is restored.

Hey Rachael, did you find that, before you were confirmed to have CCI, that you were always fiddling with your neck? Either rubbing it, digging at it, pushing at the tight spots with your fingers to loosen it etc? I'm going through the whole autonomic symptoms right now, but I find sitting in certain positions helps, or even when I'm standing, if i lean against a wall can minimize the symptoms too. One thing I found weird was pushing my lower jaw out and folding my lower lip outward (imagine trying to force as big of an underbite as possible) kind of helped. Did you experience any of this? So glad you're doing so much better. My goal is to hopefully get prolo, or at the very least PT before I drop dead. I truly think I'm going to die from this. So sick and tired of being told it's in my head and to take Naproxen or antidepressants.

I wonder if having the surgery as a first step then what you are doing now is the key. Like surgery alone is NOT the fix but maybe has contributed to the success? I know when I find the money careing medical in forida is where I'm headed. I just wonder if a combination of surgery and the therapies you are doing now could be why it's been so successful? I am on step one, got the mri and ct ,next neurosurgeon, but Im just looking for the issues and bracing at this point. My entire spine is a mess. I know it's not " just" aai/cci there is no way I would allow a surgeon to fuse my entire spine. And I'm sure not going to fuse one section and have the part under it fail. I'm scared. I see the neurosurgeon on Monday! I don't really trust any Dr's, ptsd at this point. So I always procede with caution. Any suggestions or questions to ask for my up coming apt?

I have moderate/mod-severe cervical kyphosis. I tried soooo many things. I have very similiar symptoms plus more for years. For many yrs I felt I could not hold my own head up. Felt like my head would roll off my body. Neck muscles so tight but also weak. The ONLY thing that brought me lasting relief and mostly pain free neck days is cdb therapy which is a chiro realignment therapy. Very little emphasis is placed on adjustments but rather positions/traction and excercises to reverse kyphosis over many many months. Similiar to program for scoliosis patients. I urge anyone to give it a try. Also most programs want you to come in 2 to 3 times a week for 4-12 months. I couldnt afford that so do chiro 1 week and follow traction and excercises at home. Just fyi
