I prefer this type of awesome playing than a guitarist shredding at a 100mph. Soulful, unique, with an excellent tone. Like others said, I came hear for a speaker comparison and instead became a fan of an awesome guitarist.
I found a P12q in a '60 Hammond M3 and it has it's own "territory". Finger plucked over driven sounds excellent. Gotta lower the treble and raise the bass alot when comparing with ceramic speakers. Wish I had a P12n too..
+Modestoney Thank you for your comment, this was done with different amps at different volume levels to help bring out the strong points of these two speakers. Alnicos tend to lean to cleaner styles of playing while ceramics have the ability to handle overdriven tones more smoothly frequency response wise and more dynamically decibel wise. The alnico speakers also have that clean compression effect when lower output pickups are played.
Videos with the active speaker name shown on the screen while the guy is playing are best. Because you can see the exact speaker in use at any given point in time. This makes watching the playing more interesting and relevant. The playing is cool but hard to tell in a glance which speaker is being listened to. A simple handmade sign could be easily made and shown alongside you, on a stand or something. The speaker name is also worth featuring. It would make your great video even greater!
Good demo but played through two different amps and some effects through the Princeton so kinda hard to decipher actual difference. Was it the amp or the speaker. Still good jams bro!
True, true, it is hard to tell if its the amp or the speaker but either way both (princeton & c12n) sound good for drive! So, safe, safe! The p12n is more of the bell tone.....
Fuck the comparison, I’m gonna light one up and enjoy the free show, this dudes playing is awesome! Cheers 🇨🇦🌿 this guy should be on an episode of the Game of Thrones performing for the Queen!!
No, We are just pointing out how ceramic speakers welcome a little bit of speaker breakup or speaker overdrive. Over the alnico's which tend to have a buzzing, cone cry,or overdone sound. When easily surpassing the sweet spot. The alnico speakers also have a tendency to quickly have an overdone sound. Excellent clean compression sounds coming from the alnico's.Alnico's are also known to have a cone cry when underpowered.
Sub scribed! Carry on brother. Still cant decide whether to go p or c for a 2x12 mesa rectifier cab copy. Using Monterey Pine....I had been thinking the c....
+Reggie Tito Many times when hum bucker pickups are played through fender amps with jenson speakers, they have a tendency to lean toward the ceramics tonally as far as frequency response and voicing. Especially when driven hard.To often we see alnico jensons in fender amps driven past their sweet spot in tone with humbuckers and p90's among other hotter styles of pickups. Alnico jensons however seem to really shine in fender amps when weaker pickups are played. The clean compression effect from the alnico speaker is then more easily seen.
Fantastic brother.... gee, using volume as a tool... hmm 🤔 Who woulda thought? I try and tell a lot of my students that a cranked amp is your friend, and even though VH used a variac he still played loud as shit. That’s why music sounds so flat now, no in and outs. Nice man!
That is an early speaker....(wonder what the power ratings would have been on those? also did magnavox make them or sub it out then just using there name on them?)
It's really hard to choose the difference in speakers... The first part that amp sounds dry and I can't hear any reverb or delay... The second half sounds like it has more gain with reverb and delay... Plus he's playing a different song with different style leads... Not very helpful for me... Them isn't really a useful demo
I came for a speaker comparison and instead sat smiling at the joy this guy has with a guitar in his hands. Bravo!

You are very kind.......thank you. (I speak for my dad)
shredding is horribly unmusical and only for youtube wannabe's.
You bet.
Me too my friend
Sweet playing there. I’m a big fan of Alnicos for lower gain stuff and ceramics for higher gain.
Super nice prestation of the Jensen...we finally can hear the sound of the speaker.

Heck with the speaker comparison, GO FRED GO !!!
Thanks for playing, what a sound. Nice speakers, Jensen are the best.
Are you kidding me love those riffs the tone is awesome
Great playing and speaker comparison! I prefer the AlNiCo all day long.
Sweet Rock man. I play an 67 Ab165 Fender Bassman through a single pine cab loaded with the C12N.
I loved the playing. The first clip reminded me of something Gábor Szabó might do. This was great
Came for a speaker comparison, but 've been gifted with two awesome guitar perfomances. Thx.
Nice tone and the faces are incomparable!
Came for the comparison. Stayed for the licks. Awesome playing
Great playing and sound. Love to see someone grooving to the music
To me that video is about the cool music you make, sir.
(and only after that it´s about the speakers)

Its fun listening to this dude - couldn't care less if he was playing through PA speakers...
Enjoyed your playing very much.

Grateful Fred.......✌🏻............🎸
👍
So what's the difference between what's the better one?
Did you use any help me boxes? Your sound was excellent. Thank you!
Just some echo on the mixing board with the ceramic c12n.
I have both paired in a 2x12" cab!
but settings changed alot with the ceramics jensen,so its hard to compare
Your stuff here is gold bro!
Fuck the comparison, I’m gonna light one up and enjoy the free show, this dudes playing is awesome! Cheers 🇨🇦🌿 this guy should be on an episode of the Game of Thrones performing for the Queen!!
Discernable difference between ceramic and alnico regarding facial expressions...
What a guitar player!
If I’m this good when I reach his age, I do believe I just might live a fulfilling life.
Love it my friend, Hope alls well.......................Keep up the great work !
Great playing! Slaying it!
Think I'm hearing a jam to Missisippi Queen
why does c12n has more overdriven sound?did you use the same amp setting for the speakers?
No,

Wish I had a dad who played guitar. Especially one who played like that.
this is a tough one, which do you prefer? I'm torn

+fred sweet hmmm I'm really interested in the Weber signature alnico, supposed to be a jensen p12 copy. only $60!
This is clean vs distortion!
I know there is all this love for Alnico, but if you haven’t jammed on an early 60s Jensen C12r or n. You have no idea what you’re missing!
Great Playing
Like your style its fun to watch!
The mightiest beard
Life goals - No yammering idiots around me just in a room with my LP a small but mean amp and a good beat
Mississippi queen , never sounded better
Now that is sweet!
Fantastic brother.... gee, using volume as a tool... hmm 🤔
Who woulda thought?

Nice man!
I much prefer the alnico, but in general don't like ceramic Jensens much. I use a 1952 Maganavox alnico speaker and I prefer it over Jensen.
That is an early speaker....(wonder what the power ratings would have been on those? also did magnavox make them or sub it out then just using there name on them?)
fred sweet Of this year Magnavox made them later CTS and Rola made their speakers.
Some home this speaker handles 20 to 25watts, even with this age.
Thanks😎👍
Great playing
Thank you.....(I speak for dad)
This guy could play dental floss and make it sound good.
very pretty Gold top Lessie.
p12n is the best speaker!
Santa is playing Very Well...
But... We can not compare by that way.
Look, that shit was plain awesome.
I think your supposed to mix them
I like this jam.
I keep forgetting that Jensen has Ceramic speakers.
that's the sound
Sweet is right!
Great!!!
