Ezra, you are absolutely my favorite truck related UA-camr. No arrogance, no ego, no super trucker nonsense, just a a well rounded and knowledgeable person. Thanks for all the knowledge you give away and the great content. Stay safe brother
It's the speed my friend. At 70-80 mph at 80000lbs when the tire slams on a piece of metal on the road it just has to go through. I've driven my semi on construction sites and seen millions of nails, bolts and scrap. Never once had a problem, I just make sure to check that none of them are stuck before I get back on the road. But smallest fucking pieces of metal were able to go through at high speeds. Luckily they just slowly went flat. Never had a steer tire explode, only happened twice on trailer tires. Still not pleasant, but I've seen what happens when a steer tire explodes, it's nasty.
I never ever lose interest in your videos Ezra, always look forward to the next one, you are an inspiration, I learn something off every one of them. Regards from Manchester UK.
Enjoy watching. You do it same as I do. Nice to watch trucker do his own work. Most owner operators don’t even know how to put air in tires. Always carry long air hose in truck that hooks to glad hand. Love your shows hard working man. Cujos to you my friend. Always learn stuff watching you. Not all the drama like a lot of trucking utubers. That gets old quick. Don’t make any changes. Love your videos. Love that new cat engine. Even though had cummins since 1978. Still do. Take care.
Those guys ain’t owner operators they’re glorified steering wheel holders with huge overhead and bad business sense. They’ll all go away here soon when the stock market goes to shit and rates drop.
Good video as usual Ez. And like the old guy that i used to drive for use to say with air leaks from tires(tyres) and air lines. No bubbles.....no troubles! Cheers from Sydney Australia. 🇦🇺🐨🦘🇦🇺🇺🇸🇺🇸

Great video as always Ezra. The most interesting things I've seen go through a trailing axle tire..... a spark plug and an open end wrench. Safe truckin' always my friend !
I bought one of those dismount bars when I had my truck and trailers to do my tire work and it worked great. It was a a lot faster than the two tire irons. I guess if you just do one it's not a big deal, but when you do all twelve on a trailer it was nice to have. Also I didn't realize it was called stitching when you roll the patch. I guess I done it wrong all this time. 😂😂
What a clever man. Total respect for all you’re knowledge bro. I wish I had half of it. And a decent human good luck mate keep em coming. Regards from south London England 🏴
I prefer the dawn dish soap n water. I tend to use a lot of it. Works great and is check. I think by keeping the bead wet and slippery, I have a better chance of not damaging the tire bead.
sometimes it is very satisfying doing tire work. i put the cement on both parts. i figured it was kind of like contact cement and bonded when each side contacted each other with the absents of air....like you, i doubt it matters. nice to see you again.
Ezra the bad ass! No bulshit. no I’m perfect better than anyone crap. Just doing what he does. Shocked you don’t have a million followers. Love all your vids. I must say ole red looking phenomenal
This is why I always back up a little before pulling forward out of a parking spot. People are assholes and they don’t want to see someone else have nice things.
Patch-plug combination "these are a pain to use." Yes I definitely have to agree I've used a lot of them and they suck you have to make a hole in the tire and then sit there FOREVER and rub this thin pice of plastic until it comes off and it sucks I will keep that in mind and use the other things next time I patch a tire thanks!
Good morning Ezra, Hey, next time you head out with a load... how about putting a go pro on your trailer, so we can see Red in action and hear the kitty? Doesn't have to be the whole video. Maybe just a 5 min clip or something. Just a suggestion. 8^)
Ur next patch u should put it so the arrows point to the beads there's little belts in the patch that should run the same way as the belt plys in the tire I like to jam a plug in the hole to keep water and dirt from rusting out the steel belts
Many years ago whe I first left school 1986 my first job was in a tyre shop and I fixed many a lorry tyre like this I remember fixing one and as I inflated the tyre I heard a creaking noise and a big buldge appeared in the side wall I shit it and ran it was at about 90 lbs and then a big bang when I returned it had blown itself across the workshop a d had a big hole in the side wall then after a few seconds all the light tubes in the workshop started to fail till I was in the dark .
Ezrider359 great video as always. I've learned a lot from your videos. What tool set is that in the black case? Looks like a good set for keeping in the truck.
Just wondering I usually after cleaning up with the flapp disk.. wipe it off with some brake clean then put down the cement works good is this wrong do u think thks ..
Looks like you've changed a few truck tires. Make it look easy! I know a patch is better. Could you have used a plug? What don't you like about the patches with the wire or hole filler? Thanks for the information and video! Learn something on everyone of them!
Yeah a plug likely would have worked for that puncture but I was at the shop by the time I found the leak so I patched it a patch is a better repair. I use plugs from time to time when I'm away from the shop
I love the fact that you show how to "shade tree" all these different kinds of things, yet still bother to show actually putting proper torque to the wheel nuts..
that was too quick Ezra at the farm changing tires over is a pain in back side having to use short tire levers (owners loose the new longer levers misplaced or fallen out of Ute not naming names lol they know who they are ) and using a mallet to bash them on or off really like your tire chuck hands free i have used the pull through plug patches only lasted a week when it disintegrated big blow out that patch kind of looks too small

Thank you
Agree 100% this man is worth his weight in gold. Please keep the great content coming.
Ditto, always enjoy.
Absolutely 👍 💯
Always had a lot of respect for tire guys, especially doing them out on the side of the road at night it crappy weather.
I’m always amazed how hard it is to make holes in a tire when you want to but the rustiest piece of wire or nail will find a way

As always I love to watch your show and enjoy all the tips and bits and I'll catch ya on the next one looking forward.

“Hanging out with my left sock today” haha!
Please be kind. Lol!! Sounds like you take a lot of grief. Need more of your old mans music, good videos.
Nice job on the flat repair. The guys comments about being a good UA-camr is so on the mark! Amazing in all you do!
Good video as usual Ez.

That is the way I have been taught to do this as well.
Excellent video. I worked in the tyre trade for a few years. The arrows on those patches are meant to point at the beads of the tyre.

Nice job 👍 I’ve done a few myself back in the day
Thanks for the video Ezra, watched a lot of tires get fixes at the truck stops, there not as fast as you.😁
You make it look so easy Ezra! Tire repaired and back on the trailer in under 9 minutes.

Tire shop is going to like the way the arrow was facing on the patch!

Thanks for the content...!!!!
great job ! I've fixed 1000's truck tires ! i couldn't have made a vid showing how simple a tire is !! Great vid !!!
Good job 👏 👍
Man brother you do that like a pro quick and fast, your friend from Larned Ks, Eric Houser be safe bro
Use some brake clean and a scrapper to smooth the area out a but then put cement. Worked wonders when I would repair tires at my old job
Nice job with the fix Ezra! 🙂👍 I hope things are going well. Take care
Thanks 👍
looks like You and Big Red have been working hard...hope it has been profitable..peace and health..
Man I like your video brother learn a lot

Mr Ezra cool video. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Thank you. I don't think iv seen a video from you come up in my feed for a while. I should probably go check I probably have some catching up to do 👌
I prefer the dawn dish soap n water. I tend to use a lot of it. Works great and is check. I think by keeping the bead wet and slippery, I have a better chance of not damaging the tire bead.
Hello from Russia 👍👍👍
Such a cool fellow
sometimes it is very satisfying doing tire work. i put the cement on both parts. i figured it was kind of like contact cement and bonded when each side contacted each other with the absents of air....like you, i doubt it matters. nice to see you again.
Not much that's more annoying than having to drag out a air hose in the morning to air up a tire.
Good job getting it patched up. Everyone’s got their own methods to getting it done as long as it holds air.
You make it look easy
Yes sir cool stuff 👍
I have dug rocks out of the tread that have chewed down to the belts. Anybody else seen this? Nice job on the tire!
Ezra the bad ass! No bulshit. no I’m perfect better than anyone crap. Just doing what he does. Shocked you don’t have a million followers. Love all your vids. I must say ole red looking phenomenal
Arrows go bead to bead. Been in the tire service industry for 30 years.
You are correct
Another good video
This is why I always back up a little before pulling forward out of a parking spot. People are assholes and they don’t want to see someone else have nice things.
Good job BRO!No garbaje tire --OK.

If ever the zombie apocolypse happens, I want this guy on my side.
You made that look super easy, even though I know that it isn't.
Morning cofffees on!! Cheers !;-)!!!!
Sir you are a beauty. My go to help me through channel
The mystery of the left sock may never be known .
I bet that b models running gooood
Perfect
Ur next patch u should put it so the arrows point to the beads there's little belts in the patch that should run the same way as the belt plys in the tire I like to jam a plug in the hole to keep water and dirt from rusting out the steel belts
You make mount and dismount look pretty easy I guess they are much easier if it hasn't been years since they were off
They have been on there probably around a year maybe year and a half. They were mounted when I did the frame stretch
What’s that tool box under your side step? That looks neat and helpful for on the go
That was an excellent repair, my question is, how does your tire filler upper line, stay on the valve stem ? 🤔👍👍💚🚛

HOW'S YOUR CAT HOLDING UP ...
GOOD WE HOPE... BESAFE OUT THERE ...
AN THXS ...
Nice job Ezra! Quick too, I always wanted to get those Cat’s Eye things but they’re a little pricey aren’t they?
Just wondering I usually after cleaning up with the flapp disk.. wipe it off with some brake clean then put down the cement works good is this wrong do u think thks ..
To each their own. To quote #@RON PRATT " there is a bunch of ways to reach 10".
I saw your proper burnishing tool, its right by that 10mm socket with your sock.
Is it weird, that I waited to get a cup a coffee to watch this? lol
Just wondering, big tires like that, do you balance them? Thanks from.St. Paul Minnesota.
Been working hard, eh? Old Red looking dirty!!!
Hey whatever works as long as your safe and the tire holds air
Looks like you've changed a few truck tires. Make it look easy!
I know a patch is better. Could you have used a plug?
What don't you like about the patches with the wire or hole filler?

Yeah a plug likely would have worked for that puncture but I was at the shop by the time I found the leak so I patched it a patch is a better repair. I use plugs from time to time when I'm away from the shop
And just like that......👍👍
I love the fact that you show how to "shade tree" all these different kinds of things, yet still bother to show actually putting proper torque to the wheel nuts..
How's the motor running?
that was too quick Ezra at the farm changing tires over is a pain in back side having to use short tire levers (owners loose the new longer levers misplaced or fallen out of Ute not naming names lol they know who they are ) and using a mallet to bash them on or off really like your tire chuck hands free i have used the pull through plug patches only lasted a week when it disintegrated big blow out that patch kind of looks too small
Only way to do it 👍, save some money
What happened to hot patches ?
Where did you get that torque wrench?
