Please Lily, you have to tell them what you think girl 😜😜😜 i think you are going to have lots of channels when you grow a couple of years taller, which what you will. Do you already know what colors you want for your cool truck? Does it have lots of tools like Rory's Big most famous truck in the world. Everywhere in the whole world know about the Wrecker, Do you have a lot of followers already
I go into the choke and puke for 30 minutes and come out to my rig and my stacks are gone. Then I watch something called Deluxe Dirtbob and low and behold, there are my stacks on a $#@%&* wood stove in a trailer park. You guys are crazy!! Thanks for all the fun!
One way to get serious heat from a wood stove in the western mountains, like in Colorado or Utah, is to put in a piece of ponderosa pine that is a pitch log. Turns the whole pipe red hot and also the A-frame wind breakers on top. From 1973 to 1989 we used an Ashley wood stove for heat in Colorado with primary fuel being ponderosa pines killed by pine beetles.
Once the fire is burning that hot, damping it down at the inlet should make it even hotter. The idea is to get the inside filled with slow burning coals, less wood and maximum heat.
Mike & Shawn - Does my heart good to see two more grown men take such pleasure playing with fire in a responsible manner! Between this video and the one about the 'Smudge Pot' - I would imagine you'd like to mess around with a pulse-jet engine. I was really into making them many years ago - and didn't care if they produced thrust or not - I just loved them because they were obnoxiously loud, glowed red-hot and belched fire. I've got an old UA-cam channel with one of the many that I made about 13 years ago that I pretty much forgot about until I saw your video on that smudge-pot. It's actually sitting under my house now and hasn't been fired-up for over 10 years. If I ever happen to make it out to Moab - it's yours! If anything - they're a pretty cool conversation piece... You just have to have that conversation about 100 feet away when it's runnin'. I've been digging around our scrap steel yard searching for the perfect pieces of pipe to make one of these smudge-pots - but it'll run entirely off of propane. My thoughts have been that your smudge pot is difficult to extinguish and I can only imagine the residue and/or the potential mess it 'could' create if you had to transport it from Point 'B' back to Point 'A' after it cooled. - - With the LPG, you'd simply turn off the BBQ-size bottle (or the inline ball-valve) and it would instantly shut-off. No mess, no fuss - Just the cost of getting a bottle refilled. You can run it at a 'low growl' and it'll still throw off a lot of heat, or give it a little more pressure until it resonates. Anywho.... I'm not looking to scam any views - I can't even log into that account anymore, as I forgot the password. But if you're even remotely interested - you can check it out here: www.youtube.com/@DRspudcom2010 Let me know what you think of them - and please feel free to delete this comment, if there's any issue with having another link to some other page. - Thank you BOTH for sharing this content! 👊👊👊👊👊
I just gained 1000% respect for Shawn! If we can't laugh at ourselves what have we got?? Thanks guys for your sideshow, far as I know you're ypu tubes first spin off. And one of my favorites!
Thanks for another entertaining Mike and Shawn show the trl is coming along nicely , I couldn't help but notice the white 4 door Chevelle in the background , I have a 4 door 68' Chevelle I drive to work when the weather is good
Before high-frequency machines, aluminum was welded with aluminum stick rods. My dad was a rig welder, and he had a bunch of those rods, and when I was a kid, I got beat over those rods in his rig truck.
I was gonna say Mike, The good news is that it's in the back of the pipe so nobody will see it anyway. And if they do just tell them you had to banish 'The Eye of Sauron'. Later that day... How did the trailer burn down? Well we were trying to cram another tumbleweed into the stove when... Hello Lilli! SO nice to see you! Love your pretty smile! Give your Dad a big hug for me, ( cause you know, it looks weird if I do it 😁😸😻) Have fun and God Bless.
Ther are official names for all the colors your pipes turned. The color tells what temperature the iron in the steel reached, so frm ancient times metalworkers have used the colors to temper hardened steel The colors go Faint yellow, light straw, dark straw , brown, purple, dark blue, light blue, grey blue from about 350 degrees F to 700 degrees F. A very thin layer of iron oxide causes the colors, and it works kind of like oil on water causes rainbow colors. There is enough iron in practically all stainless to produce the iron oxide coating. By 800 degrees F the oxides are pretty much gone or invisible and the metal starts glowing in different colors. Black Red (barely visible)at 800, Very dark red at 1100, dark red at 1300 ,cherry red at 1500, light cherry red at 1600 and I think you just reached orange at 1800 degrees F. . Which is a difficult temperature to reach using just wood and without a forced draft fan. Your stove has good swirling airflow I reckon. and tumbleweeds must burn pretty hot
There are very few things that smell better than juniper smoke. I dig your twin stack woodstove, gentlemen. And that big sucker means zero dollars spent on insulation!
I hear you on dulling chains cutting juniper! I try to only cut juniper with no bark. Seems like the bark holds a lot of sand. Keep up the great videos!
I've used paper, petrol (gas),Diesel, but never torch, looks a great fire chimney, I just have a wood stove, that we can use the oven and hot plates, but my top has square hole instead of round for the pots to heat up on, excellent job, all the best to yous and your loved ones
My trick for cutting juniper is to avoid doing it if possible. It is like fighting a pack of cats getting through the branches and it dulls your chain faster than anything I’ve ever cut.
That’s the only way to light a woodstove!! IMO OF COURSE!! I just spent three days ice fishing up in remote northern Maine with my wife and her side of the family and let me tell you, the blowtorch I brought with us to start a campfire was probably one the most important tools we brought!! That and an electric chainsaw!! 😂
This is the perfect video to watch wile the unit heater is warming up the garage. Don't get me wrong... my garage looks about like what we've got goin on here. 😁😁
I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time, thanks guys.
You guys are too much fun. MORE TUMBLEWEED!
Those kids will remember this moment for the rest of their lives. Awesome...
Lilly: you might want to slow down.
Three grown men: more tumble weed!
Please Lily, you have to tell them what you think girl 😜😜😜 i think you are going to have lots of channels when you grow a couple of years taller, which what you will. You guys are awesome,
When Lily is your words of wisdom and you tell her,
" don't be silly "
That's my whole life flashing in front of my eyes

Never thought a wood stove could be so much fun.
Wagonburner says the trailer came with firewood !
🤣
Mike: It seems to be letting off toxic chemicals
Shawn: I feel weird
😂
If they did experiments like this in class, we would have a lot more scientists in the world.
Keep having good clean fun and sharing it with us.
I learned a trick in Boy Scouts years ago. Carry candles. When you need a fire, even wet wood will catch fire using wax.
Sweathouse camper. For pruning tough wood I tend to use a Sawzall with pruning blades from home depot.

The way we would cut juniper is we would strip the bark or make as few cuts as possible, like cut it all up in the longest lengths you can haul.
Once the fire is burning that hot, damping it down at the inlet should make it even hotter. The idea is to get the inside filled with slow burning coals, less wood and maximum heat.
Lily: "you guys should slow down"
Mike: "that's not how this works!"
Everyone loves dual 4" stainless chimney exhaust!
I look forward to you guys dragging your "lounge" down the sand dunes road!

That is so cool!!!! I love the video! Can't wait to learn more about it!!!!
I hope you come to Moab with this thing! It looks super fun!
Look up Colin Furze for fire related shenanigans and pulse jets. He had various world records for daft things.
Kids playing with fire. Got to love it...
You two are hysterical. Love it. ❤😂
Hillbilly hilarious! Needs a turbo! Love how much fun you guys have.
I just gained 1000% respect for Shawn! If we can't laugh at ourselves what have we got?? Thanks guys for your sideshow, far as I know you're ypu tubes first spin off. And one of my favorites!
Def going to need some high temp header/ or other design wrap cuz it's going to make that tiny trailer feel like summer instantly
Thanks for another entertaining Mike and Shawn show the trl is coming along nicely , I couldn't help but notice the white 4 door Chevelle in the background , I have a 4 door 68' Chevelle I drive to work when the weather is good
This is awesome. We used to have one of those porcelain teepee shaped fireplaces from the 70's we used to use outside.
Hot damn that was fun -- yep I just loved joining in with you guys :)
You 2 are hilarious. I also like that 4 door 71 Chevelle. They make nice street car sleepers.
😂😂 gonna have to be careful with that thing once it’s in the lounge
Awesome content...thank god Rory showed up to keep his crew in line 😂😂😂
as responsible as he is lo
Nice to have such fun at work....
Messing with fire brings out the kid in us. I think that is what compels people to sing around the campfire.
I would have thought Shawn's tictok would be Hand Model. 😂😂
Before high-frequency machines, aluminum was welded with aluminum stick rods. My dad was a rig welder, and he had a bunch of those rods, and when I was a kid, I got beat over those rods in his rig truck.
You's are so funny to watch had me laughing threw the hole video 😂 keep them coming fellas
That stove keep you warm outside. Gonna be toasty in the camper
Looking good guys!
man , thanks for a good laugh guys .. and Lilli was correct ' all it needs is some marshmallows '
I feel like it needs an intake/ carburetor or a blower on top of the fireplace to go with the exhaust pipes.
I was gonna say Mike, The good news is that it's in the back of the pipe so nobody will see it anyway. And if they do just tell them you had to banish 'The Eye of Sauron'.

Holy smoke, Batman, that's a fire.
Laughed out loud for 10 mins straight. Brilliant.
The kid made it that much better!! Awesome video !
You guys really had that thing cooking!!!
👍👍❤️
THAT WAS FUN AS HELL! I LOVE A LAUGH LIKE THAT!!
Love it . A bunch of mates having fun .
You guys have too much fun....😊

You guys are nuts... and having fun!! My kind of people!!
I felt like I was there. So much fun. Hell! I want to be there. Lol 😆
Amazing!! Those stacks are badass! I laughed my ass off. You guys are great!
More tumbleweed!!! I find it hilarious that it was daylight when they started and pretty much pitch black at the end of it lol

That's awesome! I appreciate the info!!!
Looking good dudes.
This was awesome, I laughed sooo hard!!! 😂🤣 Love seeing stainless pipe change color from the heat!! Love the Mike and Shawn show!!😃
Now you need a couple of Diamond Bill Rock Pecker chimney caps.
Nice one boyŻ, thatd gonna be a commfee set up
Love the double stack
“It’s cold, I see your breath!” “No, I am smoking!” 😂😂😂
You are an extremely lucky man to have the world famous Rory join your party. Wish I could have been there. It looks like a large time was had.
There are very few things that smell better than juniper smoke.

What's more fun than finding rockpeckers? Three Humans in front of fire.
That was awesome and the kids really enjoyed it thanks for the laughs
Remember to sweep both pipes every few months. Plugged up pipes will burp flames.

Mike and Shawn, best dudes ever!!!!
It's like watching kids play, anyway once the stove is inside put a pot full of water on the stove and you got a steam sauna.
Very nice work. You guys are hard at it. Put a fridge in there take a break. God Bless you and your family amen in Aloha
Thanks Guys
Wish y'all had taken a temp reading on that pipe. That was crazy
Nice, I want to see you all put it in the trailer.. going to be fun. Put some turn downs to keep water out.
When the little kid is the voice of reason you know your having a good time.
You guys need to make videos like this!!! I love this stuff!
You kids are going to get in trouble 😂🔥🔥
Simply awesome
Good stuff guys love it . Very entertaining, thanks for sharing. Gerald. New Zealand.
That’s the only way to light a woodstove!! IMO OF COURSE!! You guys have way too much fun... I miss that.
😂 i was waiting for a Frying pan and Bacon or roasting Hot fogs 👍👍
If Matt was there he would touch it even knowing it's red hot
This was great!
Love it! You kids need a keeper!
Excellent job gentleman looking forward some decent conversations in Caribbean. Lots more products 😜👍🇬🇧👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You guys are getting big. Got that famous youtuber Rory to make an appearance 😅!
Once you get the color you should wrap it with perforated stainless like a semi stack. 😁👍
8:50 - You are supposed to chop the wood BEFORE stuffing it into the stove. LOL
"you guys should probably slow down"---- classic and she doesn't know it ... yet! thx.
Good job guys. ❤️🙏🙏👍👍🌟🌟❤️
chrome tumbleweed duals !
I love the Mike and Shawn show I couldn't stop laughing 🤣😂 thanks I needed that.
This is the perfect video to watch wile the unit heater is warming up the garage. Don't get me wrong... my garage looks about like what we've got goin on here. 😁😁
