- This is how I creating our stars for our wooden Aerican flags. I make the stencils with my SC2 vinyl cutter. I use a 50 star stencil to build my flags. When I weed my vinyl stencil, I keep the stars and the reverse weed, I put a transfer paper on the stars and spray the blue around them.. That way i get 2 stencils with different effects..

Great video. I got some great ideas from this info. One suggestion: You are using a separate piece for the union right? Why not paint before assembly so that you can handle it easier and not have to mask off the rest of the stripes?

Nice step by step instructions. I have a question that I must have missed in your video; what is the white (vinyl) paper you put on the union before the star template & why is it used?
That is the paper that the stencil comes off of. We use it so I can position it in the right place without it sticking to the Union
You should try using transfer paper.

Hey brother, any reason why you opted to go with the 28” vinyl cutter and not the 34” one? Seems as though the 34” one is cheaper right now. Just wondering.
The biggest roll of vinyl that we use is 24 inches wide. I just figured that would be big enough for us

i buy the wooden stars {cheap} and just glue them on
Yeah I’ve tried that a couple times but the demand wasn’t there.
Harley. Dogs are the best. I got a pure breed. Shepard who protects us. Btw. I do the stencil as well. Instead of wasting the stars. I picked them up with transfer tape and put them on the union. Then go over the entire flag with high gloss poly. Why waste any material. Can you provide the measurements of your different flags. Thanks and god bless. Back the Blue.
Yes I absolutely love my dog. We have done it before in the past but we have no use for the stars,
On all of the stencils don’t get ordered we leave them in place so the customer can have both
