This is the exact reason I made the plug-in was to speed up my workflow with 25-50 different presets
It just so happens every other producer wanted the same thing

Definitely! All these VST's and plugins are based off a few effects, and dynamics processing, learning to create all the textures and sounds is key. Otherwise you're just sitting in the lap of the plugin while it "lets you drive"
Most "producers" that I meet almost 100% of the time exclusively RELY on presets. They don't wanna dive into multiple plugins to get that sound, they want one plugin, hit one button and boom, done. Most people that use the LFOTool for example literally just put it on the signal chain and leave it as is. I understand WHY they do this, "time". They want to crank out 20 beats a day. People who are producers on top of being sound designers and engineers don't process things like this in their head. People like us WANT to dive in and figure things out and tweak. We make our own sound that way. This is why so many "producers" sound so much alike. Because they all use the same shit, the same one click one button "set it & forget it" plugins. I think the plugin is neat for what it is, but I totally get your frustration because of how it is advertised. Influencing hundreds of new beat makers to not even try to learn how to make their own sound can be detrimental to one's elevation as a dope creator.
Hell yes it's worth $40 to me. Thanks for helping me realize that. "Really easy" to you is not the case for some of us. Just like the editing of your video it's very nice & that also was probably "really easy" to you but again for some of us it's not. Your knowledge and DYI on all levels way of doing things isn’t for everyone & never will be. There're many levels to most things. I wouldn't use this plugin at all times or for everything but sometimes to tweak a sound quickly just to see what it may sound like with different characteristics I would instead of doing it the long way & realizing it's not at all what I need to complete my project.

Lil bro i appreciate you posting this! Ive been producing since 94 and i play piano. keys.and bass but im a drummer at heart. Getting to my point is the drip ads and all the other bullshit out there are part of the dumb down process to music creation. I literally have a 40 hr a week average in the lab for 26 years to learn from the days of being in a full analog studio, then the digital conversion studio and now the box lol. Theres nothing wrong with a little help but these young guys and old alike need not to fall for trickery lol. Get your hands dirty! the only way to learn my peeps!

Use a daw or some analog gear, grab a keyboard and feel them beats, After years of making you'll create your own sound with experimenting. UA-cam seems to be cloning many youtubers.

Thanks for this, the whole "beatmaking" community has been circlejerking this plugin and it either makes me think they got a free copy or they're just incredibly lazy producers too. Music production in hip hip and trap has become incredibly uninspiring in the era of YT producers.
They're circlejerking it because they obviously got paid for it. You can't really trust youtube reviews these days, most of them are just paid ads in reality. For mixing and mastering plugins I like White Sea Studio channel, dude is kinda funny and brutally honest when reviewing.

I Know that this plug-in is just an effect chain, but for new producers and trap producers is it just easyer to slap on a plug-in.i Program plugins myself and yes some can just be put together in an effects chain or in patcher. as a programer you´re making a tool kit for the customer so they can get to making beats or whatever. maybe charging $50 is a little much, but for new producers willing to get a good tool belt it might be worth it:)

FINALLY, Someone checked Kyle Beats for that bogus advertising, (which I'm sure we've all seen everywhere.) I'm currently finishing up my audio engineering degree this year and to tell you the truth, if I saw Drip as a beginning producer, I would probably buy it. I get that's the whole point of the marketing thing he was doing but I'm grateful someone FINALLY made a video addressing just how simple and basic the Drip plugin really is. The producer community needs people like you to help newcomers fuel their passion, and hopefully, this video puts things in perspective for someone. If you really want to do this music stuff, DONT BE A DRIP PRODUCER.

Dude, yours sounds way better than theirs. hahaha! When i first saw their ad, I was like huh? They just degraded the audio file and cry, "Wow!" That's awesome!" I was quite perplexed actually. But yeah... when i heard your reproduction I was like, yup... I'd buy that cos it sounds like quality audio, as in nicely effected without sounding cheap. A world of difference. Perhaps I can't judge cos I haven't tested the app and tweaked all the knobs to refine the effects but they are ruined by their lacklustre advertising. Anyways, good on you for calling it as it is. The world needs more truth spitters like you! Love your work!!

The marketing strategy is horrendous and as you well said, telling you that learning and getting better is not worth your time. However, that does not render the plugin useless. I actually tried pretend i never saw any ad video of it's maker and took it for a spin. Ended up buying. For me it is a very nice preview on the spot chain to see what works with a sound, before i switch to making my own custom thing that does the same, better with fine details done by me, as you did in your demo video. That said I actually like drip, but not as a patchwork over not putting in the time. More like a compass that shows a few ways i could go with something. That said, it is also a limited plugin, to a few styles that are all about retroish, lo fi, slow beats, I don't think it can do fast paced genres.

Lofi producers take this from me, you can go really far with free plugins or plugins with your daw, ESPECIALLY ABLETON, worry about getting your drums swanging, then worry about learning how to make samples, trust me, you have everything you need

The ads are a bit cringy yes, just standard sales copy, but the plugin is supposet to make all those steps u took to recreate the plugin chain faster? You probly spent a good ammount of time, plus theres just no way u can keep up if u add in browsing the presets, u cant recreate every preset just to find the one u like, its just a fx plugin with over hyped marketing, but its a good one if u know how to use it
Nice video but it looks like this all took like 8 different plug-ins and however long trial and error tweaking just to find a sound that Drip would do with no effort for $47? Isn't that the pitch for Drip?
The point is that doing it right involves work and you can do much more then that by learning and not wasting money on it
If you figure out how the tools work, it would take you maybe 5 minutes to do what the drip plug in to greater affect and with more control.
