The filming for this is great. She's super intense but looks like she's having a great time, what a slick group.
OMG - i saw this and attended their gig on thursday in london and they are officially the best band I've seen live this entire year. This video actually doesn't do them justice. On stage they are on fire and whatever mood you are in, you can't help but dance....go girls...
First off: This is amazing! But do you people have ears? I understand Joy Division is big for whatever reason right now and that is the ONLY "Post Punk" band you know but how about Pylon, Scars or Xmal Deutschland?!?!
The more I listen the more I fall in love with this
This is great - woman making music with fcuking passion. I LOVE IT and WANT TO SEE THEM LIVE....
Haha, I sure hope you had a chance to see them live... ;)
I feel like I'm back in early 90s, and it's great!!!
Instantly reminded me of early Siouxsie which is no bad thing. Great stuff.
right, allow me to clarify, this was my introduction to this band and I've now read all the comments about them trying to sound like Joy Division, early Banshee and others, but the thing is you see they are getting the comparisons because in my opinion if, they can carry on with this momentum they will become every bit as important as ANY of your artist's of choice.
Trust me ~ I'm a Doctor
And this was the silly hyperbole around them which was obviously never gonna transpire.
I loved them though
@@dbfhorses great band, do you like Jehnny Beth’s album To Love Is To Live? Really good, saw her live in August at All Points East - Mesmerising
JESUS AREN'T THEY JUST GREAT!
I love the filming
A great song. I don't know why but this always reminds me of Patti Smith's "horses"
Incredible. Highlight of the show.
BRILLIANT!
that last zoom in was fucking epic.
Sooo good!
Nice! Retro sound with real drive and stage presence.
Vocally they remind me a lot of Skeletal Family an early 80s goth band. Great track.
Amazing!!!!
Certainly splits the audience! I think love this! fantastic stuff!
Best jib shots you will ever see in live music
the last time i watched a guitarist as good as this who was wearing high heels....was in the new york dolls...........watch out for Moscow Metro "spirit of the city demo" its on youtube and like this it has its own force and life and will blow you away
Yeah, it's the dead Kennedys playing Patti Smith's Horses. You say that like it's a BAD thing....
Totally agree - I saw them at Electrowerkz in London last week they were awesome. The same comment applies to St Vincent's Later recording, nowhere near as good as her live performance.
HERE WE TALK....ABOUT SIRIOUS ARTISTS.....WITH SIRIOUS LIRICS.....!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Go GIRLS !! Oh it feels so good !
Couldn't agree with you more. Us
that like our music a bit grittier have been starved of raw sound like this for too long!
HOT ROCK GIRL. MY FAV.
Amazing song. ✌🏼️💀💀💀
reminded me of joy division on "something else " in 1978 they have the same passion, energy and ideas.........along with the 1975 and their eps and forthcoming album 2012 is a lot more intresting musically
Haha Exactly!
brilliant.
If Siouxsie would have been the singer in Joy Division (with a French accent)...this would be it. Brilliant!!
So... people who don't like this band are close minded and/or softies?
Cause these girls have talent and grit
Ahhhh god!
I'm feeling Dead Kennedys from this more than Joy Division.
Gerry McGinty Siouxsie and the Banshees maybe as well
Holiday in Cambodia
Later w/ Jools shows some remarkable lives pieces, but sometimes they show stuff that is so overhyped
Saw them at a festival this year. The recordings don't capture how great they were live, which is really disappointing.
They never should have broke up. The brightness could have been blinding.
has anyone got a copy of Citys Full from the Fridays show Savages played as their second song???? please post ;0)
thought it was brilliant. The stand-out performance of this week's show. I don't quite understand the hate.
Siouxsie Sioux voice reborn!
Has a very similar vibe to 'In The Mind Of The Bourgeois Reader'.
haha yeah I heard that as well
We need 100K views!
The singer looks scarily like Ian Curtis
love this song, its so weird though
horses, horses, horses
Wooow
So did I, but what's the difference? You maybe change your thoughts about the song, the band, but it's the same song.
Why oh why do people have to compare bands “oh they sound like this they sound like that? All Bands are influenced by those that have gone before them.. like any art form.. name me one band that are currently completely original and sound like no one else. People just want to sound knowledgeable, shut up and just enjoy the performance.
could've benefitted from some more retro style camera-work, i dont think the zooming and stuff works well. great performance though!
Joy Division, anyone? Still: great!!
A female version of PiL, I'd say. Anyway, very typical spatial post-punk sound.
is that a bad thing? surely at some stage every band/musician will have an element of hype...i remember there was even hype about Laura Marling....she is great but hype is just the music industry/media trying to work out what bands have that "thing"....."the next big thing". This band is something else live, this video doesn't do them justice.
so is your taste in music apparently.
Shirley Manson sent me here. Nice.
I don't mean they sound like joy division because they do not...I mean they have the same power. Passion and forthright mindset..gonna get a ticket to watch these ladies live....dead Kennedys comparisons for the guitar sound seem about right just on this track....comparing bands coz I'm over45 .........lol
I'm guessing you have only heard one song, i think they are amazing and good on Jools for not just putting bands like Mumford and sons on - not everyone likes that style of music, i thought Mumford were repulsive!...each to their own i guess.
Who says that like it's a bad thing?
I heard it before it was mainstream)
go check Ghost Rider's Suicide - lets just rehash everything......
I bet you like Oasis.
No you didn't, you heard it before it was popular.
Lady Joy Division.
bit passé isnt it
WELL SHE ISN'T CHANNELLING IAN CURTIS WHATSOEVER IS SHE
Had Souxsie been available this song would have had the necessary gravitas. But, nice effort by squeaky anyway.
Edward scissorhands play guitar!!
they're not bad, but post-punk posturing is getting old by now. that's just my opinion, wouldn't it be nice to hear people re-interpreting the movement and not trying to fit into a musical blueprint?
I wish that this is sarcastic, because it's so idiotic. You write like it's fact. What about us that like it?
Awful.
