The ''I need to love'' part is so amazing live wow...
It's I need your love :)
+Steve Mutch Are you sure? I also sometime thought I heard 'your' in the beginning, but I'm pretty sure now it's 'to'
It's " I need to love"
Sadly Matt doesn't sing the long note this powerfully anymore ... he often goes falsetto for half of it these days. Still sounds great but I prefer it like he sings it in this performance.
Its an extremely hard note to hold - he falsetto'd it in the Live at Rome Olympic Stadium performance as well, and I'm okay with that
This is proof that Matt Bellamy's voice should be considered an instrument.
Alot of people thought it was effects in the studio
everyone's voice is an instrument.
@@csp.9203 everyone is not in tune, Bellamy is everytime
@@nicolaevic he has help
@@nicolaevic So if a guitar is out of tune it's no longer an instrument?
That touch screen bass guitar is cool as heck.
Chris M. it's called a kitara. pretty cool instrument
FuriousMuze sadly discontinued. not sure if they are still making the Tri-Bass or not.
***** aw really? that's a bummer they aren't making them anymore.
Pretty damn cool... fitted into a Status bass too.... wonder how much that cost!
Corvid I doubt they paid much considering it's free publicity for the companies
that passion when he sings 'i need to love' woah...
Lately he sings this part in falsetto...
+Nick Valensi Ik it kinda sucks but he's still an amazing singer!
In LA and he tried singing the "i need to love" part, but he ran out of breath fast. I believe after that, he transitioned to falsettos.
+Martin Hernandez Yes... Though I like that part even in falsetto, it's cool! But I'd prefer maybe the first scream in chest voice and the second one in falsetto, like he used to do before doing both in falsetto
actually it's I need your love
First time hearing this song: meh it's okay
Second time hearing this song: it's kind of growing on me
Third time: this song is really cool!
Fourth time: oh what the hell this song is like hearing heaven.
same here :)
Green Light Transport um no
+Eliza E True dat!! i didnt completely love it until I heard it live In Madison Square Garden! it Blew My MInd then!!!
same
Haha
Exactly my feelings
Didn't even listen to it through
Until I just said F It
Then he hit the high interlude and I was thinking
Ffffffffffff yeah!!!
True sick slick smooth talent
This is the most naked sound of theirs i have ever heard. Even with this they are fucking rocking the world.
DearBear right
One of those rare songs that I can listen to on repeat for hours. Masterpiece
True!
Same!! And dead inside too
He smashed it! Some lead singers cant replicate what they do in the studio. This guy is 100% the real deal!
Really feeling 3:16, almost like it's bleeding out of him too... best live performance I've ever heard
Trust me, I’ve heard every live version of this song. This is the best. Never hits the two A2 notes with chest voice before or after this so cleanly. Genius.
Matt's voice is out of this world. It's like getting a glimpse of heaven in the form of sound.
Yeah that guy is seriously gifted!
what a voice...
elevator operator I'm sorry but Thom York's is better
Not currently
@@Noah-xv3yt Not even close when it comes to range and control.
@@Noah-xv3yt Don't be sorry you're wrong
@@Noah-xv3yt no one asked
If you listen to Muse live, they are so good live, that their songs sound near perfect to the original record.. just show how good they are
This guy's voice is so powerful , I always wondered only hearing studio version , yep , it's one of the best .
3:16 everybody is waiting for this part.
8 years later ..... this live is STILL THE SHIT 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Saw them on their first US tour. They would do local radio and invite fans to come play poker because they were bored on the road. The played to about 150 people and they blew our minds. Unbelievable.
The very first time I ever heard this, I knew it would be a masterpiece.
The base guitar is so cool, Ive never seen or heard one like it.
After so many years, I'm still in love with this song
If Humanity ever has to create an album titled “Why We are Worth Saving”, this is the opening track.
The comments praising Matt Bellamy's vocal here? YES, HE DESERVES IT!
It blows my mind every time how genuinely awesome Muse sounds live. The playing and singing is spot on, and they must have one hell of a sound crew to get them sounding perfect every single fucking time.
This song is DEFINITELY BETTER live than the cd version!! And this is amazing. Excellent performance!
It's in a different key, that's all there is different about it, just so that the notes are easier for them to hit
@@AC-qr1uk I think the key change is also a stylistic choice of there's. Matt never belts the high chest note in city of delusion and yet it is the exact same note within this video (he goes into falsetto). So I think some of those choices are stylistic
@@AC-qr1uk But those choices also make sense. For one the songs sound great (even better) in a lower register. And two they help him preserve his voice so his voice isn't irreparably damaged and helps him for the rest of his live concert durations
muse is one of those rare bands where they're even more amazing live than pre recorded-
the guitar solo encapsulates the song so brilliantly: nonchalant, effortless, superb!
still the best performance of this song (full voice, both times at i need to love).
And this is why they're the best live band in the world.
😂😂😂
0:45 The way he looks dead into the windows of your soul tho...
lmao
@@Adam-lm1eh :P
This performance was the first time I heard MUSE. I immediately loved em. Great song and performance. They also played Panic Station here. MUSE are my favourite band and Im always listening to them. They're just AWESOME.
This is why i love Muse, they've been in constant evolution since their inception. Instead of sticking to what most bands will do ie; sticking to the same formula, they constantly challenge themselves, and those that listen to their music's ideals of what a band should sound like.
Kudos to Muse.
Regardless of the fact I love this song, it is truly one of the greatest live performances of any genre of all time...brilliant
Anyone who has ever been in a love-hate relationship involving bi-polar disorder can understand this pain. Most everyone is worthy of love, and most everyone has so much love to offer. Forgive people who have hurt you, and ask forgiveness of the people you have hurt. Thanks, Man.
In memory of my son Lee Brearey, he told me they were going to be big, and yes they are!!!!
Guys what did i do wrong, i attached my ipad to my bass and nothing hapenned, wtf
You need second bass neck.
Hahahahahaha x2 z😂
I'm so glad that UA-cam is not like cd's... start skipping on the part you play over and over again. Because 3:17 man... chillbumps and tears.
I'm not a big fan of the electronic sound at the beginning of the song, but I love how it progresses into this pure and beautiful harmony. Well done guys!
one of the best live bands ever. saw them in Philly in 2010 and i can honestly say it was the greatest night of my life. so impressive
I'm definitively not a Muse fan but I must admit they're absolutely flawless on every aspect I can think of. On harmonic, groove, technique... if a band has this vibrant approach live, well, this band is simply perfect.
So why aren't you a fan
Wtf have you ever seen them live? They're one of the most energetic, vibrant bands ever! What a weird thing to say
@@hoguemusic9706 or maybe he's just being honest about his preference. It's like nobody is allowed to be an individual anymore
@Mike Klug I misread the comment 2 months ago. I thought it said "If the band HAD" not "has".
@@hoguemusic9706 and that's not a weird thing to say? 😁😁😁
One night I just kept looping that part for 20 times straight. No joke.
I've seen a ton of bands live and Muse is right up there in the top three for live performances. Hearing and seeing them perform all their crazy sounds and vocals live and going above and beyond what you hear in the songs as you know them on their albums is absolutely why you should go and see bands live. Everything sharpened and polished and awesome and knowing that everything you hear they can actually do and perform. Why they have been my favourite band for nearly 20 years.
poor matt, really feeling the " i need to love" its bleeding out of him. i hope he finds another love, poor guy
+Matt Davies I need your love*
I'm sure that dude will land on his feet.
@@lukezz493 it's "I need to love"
@@alevandet5377 Nope... its "I need your love" :v
@@losentimosesgay trust me, it's "i need to love," look at the lyric video and official lyrics :c
2012. Time flies so fast it scares me.
3:17...😢😢😢❤❤❤ thanks Matt...
The guitar solo sounds like a bionic version of brian may plays it. Awesome
Gosh!!! this is why muse is totally awesome!!
sounds the same as recorded!!
they're like rock gods *-*
THe ' I need to love' in this live video is better than other live of it
I have to disagree with you on this.
I personally find the Roundhouse version better: ua-cam.com/video/11dci57gIFQ/v-deo.htmlm38s
The way Matt and Chris's vocals combine to create an even better sound just sounds amazing to me.
This is just my opinion
better in live... love this song .
They should be playing a super bowl halftime show
Literally gives me the chills when he sings those high notes starting at 3:15 *-*
3:16 what a perfect "i need your love"
I had never thought much of this song until watching a live rendition… what a vocal performance
the kind of effortless cool that most other bands can only dream about.
agreed. dayum that guitar solo. literally swooning
All the best music comes from the Uk.... with a handful of exceptional exceptions
and some from irland ;)
MadeOfCrazyWood many from Ireland
And Seattle
I have come to this conclusion myself
please... this is modern day blues, and everyone knows, the blues was born in the usa!!! Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, john lee hooker, Bonnie Raitt, goerge theorgood, tom petty, roy orbison, Howlin' Wolf, BB King, Robert Johnson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors, Johnny Cash, Johnny Winter, Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Patty Lebelle, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Ray Charles, Elvis, please, and thats just the founders!!!! You guys are lucky you got the Beatles, the Stones, and Zep.... and JL preferred NYC over anywhere in the world because of diversity and freedom... even when Matt sings in uprising "...unify and watch our flag ascend, hes definitely talkin about the us, as the us only country to have, in written govt at least, freedom.
The first time I had ever heard of this band was watching them live on this Jools Holland show...and I was like WHO ARE THESE GUYS!?! Wow...Been a fan ever since!
Coming back to this performance 10 years later is a very refreshing experience 😎
I LOVE YOU MATT BELLAMY!!!
Stunning they’re live performances are just outa this world 👍
greatness is what this is!! love muse!
Sends shivers up your spine.best song ever from Muse. Real class act.
Come to me,
Trust in dream.
Come on and rescue me.
Yes I know,
I can be wrong,
Maybe I'm too headstrong.
But our love is....
Muse is genius ❣️🔥
Just saw them perfomed this song live in Malaysia last night. It was amazing!
Love this song so much.Saw Matt sing it live again last week in Dublin.Got a great reception from the crowd. My fifth time seeing them play live and they just get better and better.Totally out did themselves.Even if Drones isn't your favourite album its worth catching the live tour.Amazing show.
love the thumbnail of this video (showing matt's face during the love part of the "i need to LOVE!")
3:26-3:27 I love his delivery on vocal. Heart-felt belting-out and hitting that sh$t on the money. LOVE it.
Such a legend.
The custom double-neck that’s half Misa Kitara MIDI Guitar and half regular four-stringed bass guitar is honestly cool.
That was fucking awesome! I think I just had an eargasam.
beautiful !!!!
I love it more every time I hear it
Words cannot express how much I want that guitar
Shout out to the bassist for singing backup harmony while playing a different time signature beat on his bass.
2022 January ❤️
You have touched my heart so deeply with this song
The fact that Matt can sing sing live just like on the album is astounding. LOVE MUSE
What a voice
why does it matter if they play it in a different key? they wrote the dang song...
It’s all about singing it lots of times, night after night on a tour. The key change will make it slightly more bearable on Matt’s voice. If you watch a version on the tour, he actually goes into more falsetto in the last part compared to here as its much less strain on his vocal chords.
Ver muse me recuerda tanto como era sentir a soda stereo , me trae mucha nostalgia , no puedo evitar caer en el parecido de estás dos grandes bandas ....
So freakin' awesome that Matt can pull off an epic scream like that live...flawless!!!
No wonder you guys have been nominated for Best Live at the EMA's. That was amazing!
Someone : "This a Live song ? My ass This is fucking Playback !"
"No my friend this is Muse..."
Playback!! You smoke??
@@alexandra-gj2xe I don't think you understand the point.
That song was already awesome on studio version... This live rendition just makes it completely crazy.
I love this song and Matts voice towards the key change is haunting powerful
3:17 the peak of music
I repeated 3:15again and again.....bravo!
Superb what he's doing there. Built the emotion in the song perfectly, you feel like you are with him on every note and when he gets to 3:15 its just like the "freedom" part of the song compared to the short sharp constraints at the start.
I do that too
2:35 the best part !!!
the top half of the bass is a Misa Kitara, cut to fit the wood frame, and the bottom half is a custom Status S2-Classic headless and I MUST HAVE IT!!!!
Love this song
I'm having a fuckin' eargasm asdfasdfasdf
OMFG I've been trying to sing this song and now i finally realized that in lives they play the song half tone down.... That explains why the "I need to love" note is almost impossible to sing/scream (like he does here)...
Love how good they sound at the end that people actually think they're doing playback
2:34 , that guitar riff is so clean I could drown in it!
que bien toca la guitarra es seco
So much Queen influence.... That guitar has Brian May all over it
Perfection. Insanely effective vocals. Unique.
loving this song so much more everytime i hear it. loving the fact that chris is doing vocals now too
ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-matt Matt Matt... ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-matt Matt Matt... , Matt-Matt-ness! :P :P
coldplay and muse are the best bands in the world :)
Pure Excellence!!!! Look at the guitar work!!! Superb Voice!!!! Superb Bass and Drums!!! They are the full package
I love the solo at this performance and this long "LOVE", amazing.
