The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!
Wow that's an impressive smoke test result. I have the big brother to this model (the 121) and it has done great. I wonder if the winix units are just as good on that test but slightly hindered by the initial ramp up to full power. Love the videos. Thanks for taking the time to produce such informative content.
I will definitely compare the Winix 5500-2 with this one, as well as the Molekule Air, the Coway Mighty, and many others. The Winix is great, i like the air quality indicator on it. The thing I do t like is the gigantic footprint and it’s aesthetic. If it can be hidden maybe and if space isn’t an issue, the Winix is wonderful in my opinion.

For someone living in one of the most polluted cities in world with regular smog issues and PM2.5 values reaching up to 166.7 µg/m³, will you recommend an air Purifier without a True HEPA filter? Or do you think True HEPA filter is essential for me?
I’ve heard (not sure if it’s true) that the testing needed for it to be labeled as “true hepa” is very costly so no doubt that cost is passed onto the consumer for something to be certified as “true hepa.”
My cats don't have pee smell but the poop smell is strong. I have the filter about 6 to 8 feet from the litter box that smells the most, and with it on high speed, the smell is gone in like 10 mins.

Had one of these, nearly killed me and my wife with the horrendous gases it was producing. Something to do with ozone and the electrostatic thing. Stay away from
this is on of the best CADR machines but the design is poor. The pre filter will look dirty all the time and will eventually rip. It should be built in.

I have this product works great i never buy a new filter for it when light turns red i just blow it out with my air compressor

The Blueair 211+ Particle filter is not a True HEPA, but it did much better in our tests than many other True HEPA air purifiers.

Since the air circulates and passes through the filter several times, it does not matter if it is not True HEPA.
Do you think it could remove litter smell from a room too? I have 2 cats, and well their litter can be quite stinky, even with daily poop scooping.

You can make DIY airpurifier. All you need is 4 Air filters 20inch size and 1 Large fan 20 inch size. Lol😂
