    Hi love . Congratulations. I also planning to move to Georgia . Just a question. How’s the national board for Georgia ? Do you need to bring your own patient?Because I know Florida it’s accepting the use of a manikin.

    • @JessiecaB
      @JessiecaB  Рік тому

      Thank you!! And congratulations to you as well!! So the National board is the same, it’s the written portion. The clinical or CRDSTS was pretty easy, it was cool because my director prepared us and made sure we knew what to expect
      Yes you have to have your own patient, PLEASE do yourself a favor and have a backup patient

    Congrats! I’m actually going to fortis right now :) I graduate in September of ‘24 god willing! I wanted to ask you how you got patients for clinic? It seems impossible to find 45 people!

    • @JessiecaB

      Thank you and you will make it future RDH!!
      Trust me I understand, so let me break it down for you.
      So you need 45 patients, however your patients can come back either every 3 months or 6 months depending on their level. So say every patient comes back 3 times. That’s 45/3=15. So MOST times your patients are willing to come back and count as a new patient again. So if they are say a level 7, that means theyre on a 3month care plan, which makes your patient count even better
      Keep in mind you need levels 1-8 but when you get the easy ones out the way like kids and adolescents it makes it easier
      I hope that made sense!

    • @JessiecaB
      @JessiecaB  Рік тому

      Also I had a lot of family and friends come in, which helped a lot. I posted on fb, Instagram and posted flyers too. Don’t be afraid to ask because you never know who’s willing. Even the staff at the school comes to get their teeth cleaned

      Hey!! Oh I hope you pass on the FIRST try!! I don’t have my book anymore but you can go to the Facebook pages. Dental hygiene students and join the group. That page is where many pre graduates buy post graduates books and used supplies

    It's that time for me to see what program I want to use to study for the boards. Do you know if the book can be read on the iPad? I really want the material that's on the book but I dont really like to read off physical textbooks. Is there like a pdf version you can download or something like that?

    • @JessiecaB
      @JessiecaB  Рік тому

      There is an online version, I studied on the iPad if I was at the gym. And also in my iPhone
      I used the website and set it as my favorites. I’m sure you’ll be able to do the same, not sure they’ve updated anything since then

    My class is taking boards mid November, day before our graduation, but me and my other classmates rescheduled to give ourselves a month dedicated to only studying for boards. We thought to finish school first then study hard for the boards. We’ve always thought if it was a good decision or not. Im glad I cam across your video. Saving it to share to my other classmates. Thank you!

      hey! I personally feel that it was best for me to wait, I really wanted to focus on just studying. Not class or anything else, I hope you all pass the first time around!! Practice writing down on your scratch sheet of paper too, it helped me!

    Did you take the boards for Georgia? Or did you have to take it for Alabama and then apply for licensure for Georgia?

    • @JessiecaB
      @JessiecaB  Рік тому

      So both Georgia and Alabama accept CRDTS which is a specific license that they take. Alabama also accepts CITA
      I took CRDTS so I can work in both Alabama and Georgia, so I will apply for both licenses. You have to apply for licensing separately, I hope that makes sense! 💕

    When any person graduate from associate degree, he can complete his bachelor's degree by studying two years as well, after graduation in a period such as three years, or should he complete his bachelor's degree immediately after graduation from associate degree?

    • @JessiecaB
      @JessiecaB  Рік тому

      It’s completely up to you if you want to get your bachelors right after your associates. For an RDH you don’t have to have your bachelors but in order to be a teacher (or be a sales rep) of Dental hygiene you must have one.
      It’s always great to pursue higher learning!
