You have the BEST soft speaking voice. Normally I prefer whisper videos but I absolutely adore all of your soft spoken videos. Keep them coming, please! =)
Looks good but may I recommend slowly adding the cheese into your milk mixture rather than putting it all in at once. That will ensure you get a smoother and creamier final texture.
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! After drooling over the video, I decided to give it a shot for our Christmas dinner and it was AMAZING! I made it twice since then.
Thank you for this video! It looked so good I made it this past weekend to 5-star reviews all around (even from people who normally aren't big foodies). I used a 16 oz box of pasta and 8 oz each of white cheddar, sharp cheddar, Gouda, and Parmesan. Can't wait to make this again!
This looks so good! May I give you one tip though? Because you mentioned you may have used too many noodles at the end. With noodles, when it calls for 16oz, that is referring to weight, not volume. The 16oz mark on a measuring cup is intended for liquid volume. You would want to use a food scale to weigh out 16oz of noodles. But, you can also find boxes of noodles that come in 16oz size, it's a fairly standard size package. Anyway, this was a great video! Thanks for sharing 😊
you were excellent at your "normal" asmr - but with baking'cooking like this - you stand to become the best in a new category instead of being in someone else's shadow on a mainstream asmr. This is skillfully done, ma'a'm
This mac and cheese looks truly amazing. I'm going to try this out myself soon. You also really nailed the ASMR element in this video. Can't wait to watch them all! :)
I legit just had a side of Mac and cheese with dinner, and then hopped on UA-cam to find this wonderful video that I know we have been asking for! THANK YOU. ❤️
For anyone who's hungry at night or struggling with depression, and have craving brought on by this video, I have a recipe for you! This is mainly just a tip on how to level up the box stuff tho. However, if you're hella hungry and craving mac n cheese, this should be easy and motivate you to try something new. Empty a box of mac n cheese into an empty pot, and add stock, broth, or soup of some sort just covering the noodles. Let it cook at medium-ish heat until the noodles are done cooking, and the broth has been absorbed. Add some milk, until it reaches the consistency you want the final batch to be. Optionally, add a few tablespoons of butter. Finally, add in your cheese powder. The main thing here is that you dont need to strain the pasta, you dont have to worry about science or method bc it's still box mix, and it tastes super good! You can use ramen packet + water for the broth, you can use a leftover soup without too many chunks, you can use little to-go containers of broth that you usually sip on, and you can use a veggie stock or bone broth too. Feel free to add spices, but if you want it to be simple keep it as is. I recommend pairing with a soft boiled egg, and letting the yolk run into it. This recipe has never failed me, but do keep an eye on your noodles while cooking, its all done by eye when I make this tbh.
Your voice is the best ASMR voice I’ve ever heard and you’re a really good cook! That’s the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever seen. I just cut all my cheese into squares but shredded might work better.
Love your cooking videos! Maybe you could make another one where you'd make tortillas or some more of healthier cookies or anything really! Whatever you enjoy making for yourself and your family will turn out great in the video as well.
Jeeezus Ash you’re the most exacting even tempered Mac n cheese baker I’ve seen yet!!! More power to you, I’m attempting this tomorrow night for my family! 🔥👍🏽🤘🏽
When I make Mac and Cheese I love to add a couple decent sized chunks of goat chz to the sauce. It adds a ton of creaminess and just a hint of tang to the dish. Your recipe looks great though!
Looks delish Miss Ashley!! Great series! I am convinced that that is your natural tone of voice & you don’t even have to try speaking softly!!! Btw girl you’re hair is as gorgeous as you are!! Also, if the market you shop at has a deli try looking there Havarti that isn’t in pre-sliced packages..most delis will carry block Havarti that they will cut into whatever size blocks you want so you can shred at home!!! Love this series..keep them coming sweetie!!😊😊
Oh Ashley! I am now sleepy and hungry and want Mac&Cheese, I guess I could dream about eating it? Anyway I'm loving your cooking series, great video xxx
Omg I got the biggest tingles. Love your recipes and videos. Thank you! I suffer chronic illness and am in bed most days and this helps so much to relax me
Pro tip from a chef... salt your water kiddo, it brings out more flavour in the pasta. Also... try infusing the milk and cream with onion before adding it to the roux. Maybe even some clove or nutmeg if you like those flavours. Great job none the less.
@Um... yeah If you're frequently cooking/baking with American recipes, I'd highly recommend that... especially since the problem isn't the imperial-metric conversion, but the fact that (at least in my country) it is way more common to use mass instead of volume. That makes conversion quite a bit harder as 1 cup of flour has a different mass than 1 cup of sugar, butter, milk etc.
@@eriXD_1510 whhhatttt? A cup is different for every ingredient?? I’m from the UK and I’ve got to say measuring things by cups, sticks, cartons and packets makes no sense to me when I see American recipes. What if your cup, stick, carton or packet is a different size?? 😂 how do you know what size to buy from the shop? So many questions.
@@laurataylor4945 Well a cup each of any two ingredients is always the same in volume, but not necessarily the same in mass (just take any cup, fill it with flour, and put that on a scale and then do the same with sugar) - since most recipes in my home country use both (typically volume for liquids and mass for solids) the density of whatever you need has to be taken into account, when converting US recipes (the alternative is to get a set of these measuring units). Now when it comes to sticks, packets and cartons, my guess is (as this would be similar to home again), that there are industry standards of packaging of individual products: butter usually comes in the same stick size, milk typically in the same carton size, paking powder, vanillin sugar and all of those things are pretty much always the same... cans and jars also come into mind, typically there is just one (in rare cases two) sizes of cans or jars for... pretty much anything... beans, pickles, tomatoes, fruit... but, yeah, I prefer to have everything in grams on my recipes... (well, almost everything... that would be horrible for eggs XD)
