That pause between the countdown and hello just made me realize how hard u are working to bring us the best content 😭. That deserves a like and subscribe.
I felt today a great urge to watch FailRace and hear Alex talk, and that little imperfection at the start was just what I needed after a long day. I love your work!
For the next season of DTD you should take the top ten cars from each season and put each one around all three tracks to see who the overall winner is. :D
That would be pretty cool! Although the oil pan damage would require driving in a manner that doesn't smash it on the first couple of jumps. If such thing is even possible.
Idk how often you hear this but you have such a nice voice. Your content is great regardless, but your voice just adds that little bit extra on top. Love your stuff
Ah the memories. New revised series DTD Bajarama circuit please. It was and is my favorite series you’ve ever done, second was rally circuit/time trials. Game has changed a lot since then and it would be awesome to see how things have changed. It would also drive traffic to your old videos if they are still monetized? I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who wants this to happen 😉. Please think about it
I could hear you psyching up for this. After ten years, your enthusiasm is still impressive. Another fantastic video. Great to see bajarama again, after so much time.
The water pit could be either a stop lane like a gravel pit, or simultaneously a spot to cool engine and brakes which is a simulated feature in Beamng.
Talking about car control at the beginning, I remember when the game first became publicly available. The cars were totally undrivable. I couldn't imagine trying to do something technical in the old game
It was only recently that they got this good, before it was ok but the high-speed stability was awful. I would make automation cars, and not one of them would be able to turn at high speed without understeer. Now however, I can get reasonable handling with alot less issue.
@@automation7295 it might be an issue with front downforce, I make sure to atleast have a tiny bit of I make high performance cars, and most work fine.
@@jwalster9412 I just some hate how BeamNG treats Automation cars, sometimes cars you create are either undrivable or front wheel don't turn full lock both side.
@@automation7295 I've gotten good at tuning, but one of the main problems is the SWB cars for some reason are almost always the worst. But if you want a good platform, use around a 4L 800hp engine in the 2000s mid engine car, with A bit of down force, sport tires RWD, stiff front sway bars and rear camber seems to work well.
2:10 You can put abs always on in the settings, put abs in the car in the parts selector, adjust brake pressure in tuning and remember that you can brake harder at higher speed!
Alex: "You've also got those drift circuits, I'm not too fussed about those though" Also Alex: Immediately teleports to re-creation of one of the most famous drift circuits in the world.
The rear left wheel driveshaft was broken tho? That shouldn't have slowed it down as much as it did, although it's possible the rear right was doing the same and locking it up when it was on the ground
Fun fact, the Bajarama circuit first appeared in Rigs Of Rods version 0.36.3. Rigs of Rods was the pre-cursor to this game, and made by the same development team. This is a corner by corner remake of the circuit into BeamNG, cool to see.
I would love to see the top car from each of the driven till destruction do a showdown on all 3 circuits to see which scores the most points and is king of Driven Till Destruction.
Unpopular opinion: I hope this is not the next DTD course, unless it is modded to a less slippy surface. Seeing the cars struggle against wheels spinning in sand and dirt to get any speed at all isn't' what I'd call optimum entertainment. It's a beautiful map, and I'd still watch, regardless.
I would actually quite like this to be the new Driven to Destruction circuit! Seems interesting enough for me at least. Edit: 20:33 I call these bumps, the oil spill ridges!
In what other game would it be so fun and intresting to see thousands of cars and configurations go over the same circuit to then repeat it all over again. This game is so unique. Great video!
I personally reckon that water bath just next to the race track at about 3:20 is for quickly cooling down your car if it's overheating or high, same with brakes maybe? Could be a useful "pitstop" sorta thing
You broke the rear electric motor on theSBR4. That's why the rear wheels seemed to lock up. If you destroyed the internals, themselves. Thinks can push against one another and bind up the rear end
this'll get buried but from my understanding those red nodes are the triggers for the teleporters, same thing happens to me when driving around so not sure entirely why they pop up but it's only a thing on this map
I live in the Wellington suburb of Miramar and it's pronounced locally as 'mirror-mar.' So it really jars the ear to hear Alex saying it as 'mi-rammer!'
This video got me to finally buy this game for the offroad stuff. Love the physics they have and it looked to be a very realistic representation of offroading IRL.
that destruction circuit is wayyyyyyy better than the current one. if you go with this one again, or any dirt one, definitely turn the dust settings wayyyyy down. the dust was way too crazy in this lol
0:48 I'm pretty sure there are hills like those in the real world like this that test the vehicle's brakes and/or handbrake on steep hills. Not sure if their intention is the same here.
I'd love to see the Hillclimb or Touge being used for an automation challenge. I think it'd be great if we had the DTD and automation series' alternate.
That rear left tire on the last one was stuck in the car body and thats why it wasnt free spinning after the axle broke if you pulled it free it would have worked fine as a three wheel drive
Have you considered a"Driven To Destruction Season of Extremes?" Maybe create a test track thats a bit more extreme than a normal season with longer jumps and more rigorous suspension stresses, while also taking cars to extremes will full suspension, tyre, and engine mods.
the kind of collab i would love to see is beamNG & car mechanic. wouldn't it be awesome to drive something till destruction and then take care of it in the garage. or maybe build something mediocre from scratch and then drive it will destruction? one can dream
That SBR4 was dragging it's broken wheel. I'm guessing that's what slowed it down? Seems like an oversight from the devs, I doubt it's an intended feature that a broken halfshaft on an electric car would completely lock up that wheel, I doubt in real life it would just stick the brakes on?
I can’t wait to see if this will be part of the next driven to destruction map. It will definitely be interesting to see the world of possibilities with this one. Keep it up!!
"not offroady driver at all". oh great! are you game to play snowrunner? they released bunch of new maps and stuff to do! :D I feel it relaxes me, even when ! plopped my scout into a sea on stream and it took an hour to rescue it with a bouncy crane truck
Great video! I still remember the 4 wheel steering car you took around here, was it a LeGran? The rear steering and suspension failed and just left the wheels flapping wildly about at the rear, definitely some of the hardest I've laughed at a DTD
Alex you should try car trials some time. There are plenty of motoring clubs all over the UK that allow you to bring any unmodified 2wd car and just have a go. I'm not sure how more serious competitions work, but the event I attended had sections with 12 flags along the route. If you came to a full stop or went outside the boundary, you would be awarded the number of points for the last flag that you passed. 12 points for a fully cleared section. I think the events are mainly held in late autumn and winter for increased muddy goodness. The event I went to was combined with an autotest competition too so aggregate points were awarded along with one of those timed rallly things at the end. You know, the ones where you have to be as close to your target time as possible with penalties for being to fast or slow. It's proper grass routes stuff and very cheap and accessible. Keep up the goood work.
The Classic Car Killer must be the Bajarama circuit, and methinks a new Driven Till Destruction series is in the offing. So I'm presuming the "+ More" bit must be the audio test count at the start.
His issue with the crawler section(s) is simple, he didnt have a toyota Hilux otherwise his brute force it method would always work and the Hilux at the end would just have a few dents in the end.
It would be cool if users with automation could send you their vehicles and you see how long they last on Bajarama. I don't know if it works that way, but would be a lot of fun.
I really want to see this circuit return if it doesn't kill 75% of cars on lap 1. like you said, it's such a good destruction circuit. it would be very interesting to see how it goes for cars in the current game version!
Oof this oil pan issue is going to make future DTD series a pain in the ass :/ any future destruction circuits are clearly going to need to be designed with it in mind considering how easy it seems to break it with most cars
Evey time I see you drive the off-road trucks in Beam it makes me think you might enjoy an RC crawler. I think I remember you having a RC buggie. What all RC cars do you have?

The water pit could be either a stop lane like a gravel pit, or simultaneously a spot to cool engine and brakes which is a simulated feature in Beamng.
I think the water is meant to simulate a pit limiter since you can't really activate it on most cars

I think the industrial map might work, it has a mix of on and off road, and with the world editor he could add some obstacles.
