My dear sir, i’ve been completely losing my fucking mind this past week because ALL my emails where going to spam. Your video has saved me. You’re the absolute king bro fr
There would be no downtime as you can’t fully turn it on until the email provider can verify your entries. This is why after you put in the entries it can be anywhere from a couple minutes to a few hours before they let you turn it fully on. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much!!! It worked instantly. I was wondering why every time I forwarded an email, it would bounce back. As of 2024, google seems to want all Google Workspace /Admin users to have this txt record.
So excited to hear that. I make these videos hoping it will help people and love to hear when it does. The final video you should check out is our dmarc video that ties in spf and dkim. ua-cam.com/video/zLxJLKf-ua8/v-deo.html
I have seen a few email setup that’s are starting to include it but most likely yes you still have to do this. You can quickly check by going to the admin console and searching for dkim. It will tell you if you need to authenticate your domain or if you already are.
The longest i have had to wait is one full day. It seems you may have an error in your records. If you do a dns search for the records do the come up? You can use dnslookup.io

you would need to go to domains.google.com choose your domain and say manage DNS. I'll try to get a video up shortly on how to get into Google DNS manager. For now you can follow these instructions to set-up the DNS settings you need in Google Domains - support.google.com/domains/answer/3290350?hl=en&ref_topic=9018335&sjid=8823941427004765953-NA
@NextTechNT I manage two small websites and email is sent from both of their domains. So effectively I'm the admin, but I dont have a google workspace account for either. Theres no need for them other than to work through this issue (where all emails sent to any gmail address are being returned). Anyway, I obviously dont want to pay a monthly fee (per user) just to get emails delivered. Is there another way? I've already contacted the web host who said they fixed the issue on 3 different occasions already, but its still not working. This feels like a shakedown.
I went through this for a long time as a contractor trying to figure out how to make this work. Now I can become a reseller for Google and get into the account through my account. However, if your not wanting to become a reseller the best way is to sit down with the admin and get the information from them. You can also spin up an account and then delete it when the work is done. Sometimes we do that as well. To confirm it is there you can also do a dns search on both domains and make sure there is a dmarc entry. I hope that helps. If not let me know.
Unfortunately I’m still lost. There is no admin. Only me. Would transferring the domains to Google domains work? It’s hard to believe everyone who uses webmail will need to pay for a Google Admin account in order to have email delivered to anyone using the most popular email provider in the world.
We use a shopping cart platform installed on a local server. It sends emails to customers via one of our Google Workspace email accounts. Is there anything we have to do on that server for the authentication? Or is this all done via the Admin web portal and the domain company like GoDaddy or Register?
This one is a little more tricky. If it is actually sending the mail from your Google workspace account via smtp or api connections then authenticating your Google workspace domain like in this video is all you need. If you send it through the platform like Shopify then you’ll need to follow the platform specific instructions. To monitor where your email is sent from you can setup a dmarc record as well. I recommend this video for that - ua-cam.com/video/zLxJLKf-ua8/v-deo.htmlsi=0rVdekJ8v_ZyKeKM We can also manage it for you if you reach out to us and setup an initial consultation we can talk about that.
Thank you so much! I kept getting this error message and was at a complete loss on how to fix it. My domain is through Google domains, so the process was a little different, but still easy. Thank you!!!!!
Thank You so much, I religiously followed the video but when I tried to start authentication I got this(Email authentication was not verified. Please allow 48 hours for DNS to update and make sure you entered the correct TXT record into your domain provider's DNS settings page) please what could this mean and yes I patronize google domain.
Typically if your records are correct this should resolve itself in a couple hours. If it doesn’t work after 24 hours and you can pull it on a southern you may have something wrong in your record. I would delete it and then read it. I’ve had it take a full two days a couple times but it is rare.
Do you have to sign in as an administrator account? I don't think i have this? Or do I sign in with my account? Can't seem to sign in to Google Admin - please help thank you
Yes in Google you have to be an administrator to do this. If you can access admin.google.com the. You won’t be able to set this up. You’ll have to contact your admin.

so if you press stop authenticate does that stop your emails being sent authenticated for ever or stop the email account being processed to be authenticated? sorry having major issues with this and im sure more people will in 2024 with googles extreme policy's coming out.
Stop authenticating will stop until you start it again. If you stop authenticating then the emails sent out would have no dkim signature. Yes with Googles policy update it will be a big change for people.
What about Squarespace? I've been trying to authenticate and get the following: Email authentication was not verified. Please allow 48 hours for DNS to update and make sure you entered the correct TXT record into your domain provider's DNS settings page. Still doesn't work after 48 hours. Can you help?
Couple things that could cause this. You copied and pasted an extra space somewhere so try that again. Another thing is make sure you have the correct domain selected when doing the dkim authentication screen in Google. I’m assuming both of those are correct, if that is the case feel free to email us with a few screen shots and your domain and I’d be happy to see if I can spot the reason it isn’t working. Thanks for your video!, Very Easy to set up. How does someone use DKIM after your email is setup with it?
Once you set it up your email provider automatically puts the information in the header so all email sent is using dkim after you set it up.

this only seems to work for workspace accounts( which I dont have)
That’s correct this will not work for an @gmail.com account. You must own the domain and pay for an account for this to work.
