How To Get Google Workspace To Unblock Your Emails! Fix SPF, DMARK & DKIM To Improve Email Delivery

- We made this video for the small business owners and Gym owners who use Google Workspace (formerly G suite) for business emails. We kept getting our emails blocked by google to certain gmail users and it kept frustrating us. We are not very tech savvy in this area and did not know what SPF, DMARK and DKIM was and how to set it up and use it to unblock it and increase deliverability of our emails and decrease our emails going to spam.
Here is a little background:
We started getting automatic blocked emails recently from google stating "Message blocked
Your message to ______ has been blocked. See technical details below for more information."
The message then proceeded to state "__IP ADDRESS__ This mail is unauthenticated, which poses a security risk to the sender and Gmail users, and has been blocked. The sender must authenticate with at least one of SPF or DKIM. For this message, DKIM checks did not pass and SPF check for [madepossiblept.com] did not pass with ip: [_IP ADDRESS_]. The sender should visit support.google... for instructions on setting up authentication. x______ - gsmtp"

SPF:
Name: (leave blank)
Type: TXT
Data: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
DKIM:
Name: google._domainkey
Type: TXT
Data: Long TXT as shown in the tutorial in the gray google workspace area
DMARK:
Name: _dmarc
Type: TXT
Data: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:name@yourbusiness.com

OMG! YOU ARE A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!!! This was the most helpful walkthrough ever. It was so frustrating not being able to send emails from my domain. Even my team was frustrated - we had to setup a "dummy email" account just to send out emails so we wouldn't have to send from our personal email accounts. Well done. I had to tweak the instructions to work with the customized settings going to Wix for DNS, but the fundamental indeed saved me days if not weeks and tons of frustration with clients.

What magic is this?! Thank you so much for sharing what you learned. Problem solved. Just a note that the DNS settings have to be updated wherever your site is hosted (in my case, it wasn't Google). Other than that, following the steps in this video fixed this very annoying issue that just started cropping up. THANK YOU!
Hey thanks for the tip! So I use Wix to host my website do I have to add all 3 of the dns settings that we just added onto Wix as “TXT”. Again thank you for the help!

Upon opening Google domain it is transferring to Squarespace domain and over there I see no SPF option. Please help

Apparently, Google Domains transferred to Square Domains. I can not go through with the video. How could I continue from square domains?

Hey Guys!! I just wanted to point out, changing the DNS settings deactivated my website!! if you have a website connected you need to ADD these settings alongside the ones that are there and NOT change them. I have spent the morning adding the original DNS settings back, alongside the ones I changed. Now all back up and running. Just so you know for future! but thanks again!!

Your solution does not work for me as I do not have a Google Domain. My small business must sometimes email clients having gmail accounts. Then those messages are blocked and failed. I have no Google Domain page to go to in the manner you describe. I'm still stuck.

Are you using gmail to send emails? Or how are you sending emails to your clients?
What are you using? Wix is my domain manager and I used this info in the same manner on my Wix DNS records. It worked.

From my understanding, once you change it for your domain, all emails under that domain name should work
My emails are still getting rejected :((

On Google Domains under the Default Name Server tab where we made the changes it says “Your domain isn’t using these settings” do I need to select the “Switch to these settings” button for this to work?
Honestly I’m not sure where you are finding that, I would try to switch it and see what happens without knowing what your screen looks like it would be hard to help! I’m sorry if that doesn’t help!
hi, so far i can't apply your changes as im using a custom nameserver instead of the default nameserver. to use your method, i would have to use the detault nameserver. is there a workaround for this?
