Really appreciate that added angle on bolt actions for accessibility for people with injuries and the like making dominant form factors not doable. That and your comments on Hyper ammo in regards to environment and animal safety are big things I love about your channel, really inclusive and important details a lot of channels never mention.
I'm mostly interested in this one because it feels a little awkward to use a pump-action while prone or resting on a bench. Not really so much for the tactical value, just that sometimes I enjoy a little low-stakes target practice while I chill out on the ground.
I just have a penchant for bolt actions. The two blasters I have modded so far are internal swaps of the Longshot and Longstrike. I'm also hunting for a rival Jupiter to convert to a half length inline clip. Lol
I was actually thinking it looked a lot like the Widow from ME2 and 3. And between this and the Swift, it's a good year for Mass Effect looking blasters.
I need a bigger stock, scope, and bipod for this lol. i can finally live out the dream of having a bolt action nerf rifle... that can actually hit targets!
Just built one this weekend with the K26 option for the spring and I can not express enough how awesome it is with that spring. The prime on the K26 is smooth and easy and I find it more bearable after several shots compared to the Nexus Pro. I need to get a real chronograph as my home built Arduino based single gate chronograph registers at 280+ fps (it was calibrated for half dart size). Now mine does seal really well as I believe that my printer was slightly extruding on the plunger head print. I do want to say that it is absolutely awesome that you did a review on this right after I built one!
Bolt action rifles did exist, actually the first bolt action rifle was the Needle rifle made in the 1830's but they were not in the USA Ironically the US government did buy a couple hundred Greene bolt action rifles in 1863 but they never issued them so they stayed in the national armory until after the war
Im excited to get ahold of one, part of why the Ultra Pharaoh is such a good blaster in my hands is because i also have a really bad left arm. So this excites me in the same way
I have a K26/18in barrel that hits ~220fps. Also recommend the alternate bolt handle in the file set, I find it a little more comfortable since it doesn't have any sharp edges that would feel a little rough during use
This blaster is so very cool. I appreciate you pointing out that this blaster does allow people with limb differences or limb injuries to access more blaster options 👍
Would be cool for the larp I play in, but they don't allow removable mags. I wonder if it would be possible to load from the top with the bolt pulled back.
Doesn't look like it. The top looks closed. You can, however, top load a Caliburn U. You also might be able to single load this with the bolt pulled back.
Take a look at 2:09 I think if you were to cut away some of the rail/the black bit you could definitely single load from the top, at least with half lengths. You could probably also cut down the talon mag to be flush with the bottom of the adapter to give you that flush bottom plate and a realistic capacity. I really want to see a wood stock for this system personally
@@dangermode9762 not really. The bolt would accept the next round, chamber it, and then have an open slot at the top for a pusher trigger to send into the flywheels. Gonna make it out of Legos and plexiglass.
@@kialmaynard5176 The appeal of a bolt action is the sense of making shots count, without fuss. Flywheels are noisy and overall inaccurate compared to well-tuned springers, so springer is more viable.
Hey drac, I was curious on what’s going on with endear this year? I absolutely love the event (I attended in ‘18 and ‘19) and can’t wait to get back to the fun!
Does he have any plans for a southpaw variant? I love the feel and aesthetic of bolt actions, but as a Lefty, it's pretty awkward to use a standard bolt action
I just got my Hyper Siege-50 today and I’m still not sure how I feel about Hyper lol. Definitely not what I did when I tried out my first rival for the first time many years ago that was way more exciting.
That looks slick! Getting a Caliburn haven't really ever crossed my mind, not because I don't want to but where I live I don't think I'd have much use for it in our wars. However, that indra just looks so good, I'd get it just to have one to look at!
Nice video. Not big on Foam bolt action but I like my real steel. All and all I still say it’s wicked sweet and I’m sure his final version would be running a bit hotter. Keep up the great work.
It's odd that the performance depends on whether it's over the chronograph or not, maybe it was in metres per second instead? Overall I like this blaster, it looks very smooth and easy to use, well done Slug and thanks Drac! 🧡
I loved the one arm info... I have one arm so would love tips from anyone on which printable models you can do with one arm, even if using your chest, shoe or the ground to prime etc! Pleeease. :)
This is cool but still prefer the Ultra Pharoah with short dart kit. Primes easy (due to geared prime, not direct), hits much harder (with upgraded Kronos spring) & injection molded durability. Although Indra looks better imo
How are you not stripping your gears though? That seems to happen with strong spring on plastic gears, hence why most hard hitting blasters are direct prime
I like it but I liked it when I saw it originally when it was being design I'll probably pick one up here in a couple weeks to maybe a month when I feel as though 90% of the rest of the bugs are worked out like the barrel wobbling back and forth and stuff like that but it definitely is my style in my taste maybe I'll even have you build one for me LOL
Honestly, if it’s getting 100 foot shots with 80ish fps then this seems near perfect for hvz and stock wars. I have a talon flak and it is not great, really struggles to catch at higher loads on the bands. Plus I love bolt action. Might have to get me one of these.
@@CaptainSlug That seems more likely, although if it is only hitting 80ish fps and managing to hit accurately out to 100 feet then that’s a miracle of efficiency.

Yes this is true. Just a fun fact I thought I might add, did you know there existed a few bolt action single shot rifle designs at the very end of the Civil War? One example would be the palmer carbine, which though had 1000 models produced in 1865, was sadly delivered to the union army a month after the war had ended. It is funny to imagine going through the trouble of making a rifle bolt action just to have it be single shot. I'm sure this did still vastly improve reloading and firing times though.

For those speculating about the name, the M90 Indra is a sniper rifle in Mass Effect 3, which has a very similar profile.
I was actually thinking it looked a lot like the Widow from ME2 and 3. And between this and the Swift, it's a good year for Mass Effect looking blasters.
@@Balmung60 I agree that it looks more like the Widow (including the bolt action mechanism). Maybe the designer just thought Indra sounded cooler.
