I find it interesting and impressive that Jane has basically made Zillah the anti-Prudence. Muscle instead of magic, openly cares about her teammates' well-being, anxious about consorting with demons, etc.
I think all of them are opposites besides ellens
No, Edvard has a bit in common with Corazon personality-wise in an "I am so great" way, Egbert and Barnaby both have sometimes obstructive traits, and of course Kasimir is like literally everyone else in the world.
The dichotomy seems to mirror her general "Jane from Outside Xbox 🎮" persona, which as I'm sure you'll recall from the before times, was equal parts sweetness & light and "I'm gonna enjoy dissecting you in my basement laboratory (accessible via the trap door behind the couch.)"
@@Brasc Edvard and Corazon are JUST similar enough for it to be my head cannon that either Corazon was transported to the future of Geth and BECAME Edvard, or that Edvard is a direct descendant of Corazon.

Favorite additions to canon:
The spooky ghost whisperer is super into bridal fashion, and the hardened cutter always cries at weddings.
I wouldn't call Zillah Hardened...
These kinds of details just make the characters all the more believable and likeable. There aren't a lot of genuinely one-track people in real life, so it's neat to see our heroes' less-obvious interests and emotional sides.

I like Hook. Hire him to be the antique shop's new clerk, the shop will be more secure and the shop itself will be a source of revenue regardless of how good or bad Hook is as a salesman.

Unfortunately this is the backlog and I'm pretty sure several episodes have been recorded since this one, but I would have loved that idea to come into fruition!

The mark of a good storyteller is when the player's ask for something and the storyteller is able to continue on without missing a beat. "Tell me about the flowers" is such a minor thing, yet easy for any storyteller to overlook, but Luke's already thought about it and got an answer ready. It goes to show what a capable and talented storyteller he is.
With the blue prints about the lock, building a special light for the demon and helping kasimir with his cane (and his magnificent magical man) Edvard is OFF SCREEN the mvp of the group.
"It took me a couple seconds to realize I'M Zillah actually" is absolutely a canon Zillah line. Bless her.

She's the Oxventure equivalent of Kiryu. A kind-hearted and open-minded - if not especially bright - crimelord who never killed anyone.

Obviously it's way too soon for them, but when I saw the video title my mind immediately jumped to Alice and Peter from Astor Innoventions. I hope those crazy kids make it work someday...
I mean, eventually an unconscious Alice was found, and rushed to a doctor... when she woke up, Peter was by her side, begging for not checking on her sooner, and vowing to be there through the recovery... her feelings spill out... and life is just too dangerous - why wait??

I love how Luke was perfectly ok with letting them run this in a freaky friday situation.
I enjoy that when Jane said "let's put a pin in that and take it out later," was no lie. We eventually got that freaky friday episode in dnd.

I'm imaging a sherlock style turn when an agent of Astor's steals the Wonderful mechanical man, whisks it away to be stored in a secret lair/laboratory, turns the lights off and locks up...
Then, after a short wait to ensure no one is about, IT SPRINGS TO LIFE! REVEALING IT WAS EDVARD MERELY DISGUISED AS HIS SOON TO BE WORLD FAMOUS WONDERFUL MECHANICAL MAN.
I would like everyone to focus on building it. This way it’s a mishmash of expertise and intention.

That being said he is the only one who knows that fop can actually be competent.

She’s one of least favourite characters. Strong arming complete strangers into repaying a debt solely because they happened to be around when they killed the last debtor struck me as very stupid and/or desperate. So I’ve been kinda thinking of her as Miss Stupid And Desperate. I guess now I revise my opinion of her as just really ambitious beyond her ability, which is, admittedly, decidedly more dangerous.
Then it's a good thing that tastes can vary :-)

There were experiments with bulletproof vests made of silk in the 1890’s. A centimetre thick silken vest could stop a revolver point blank, but silk was expensive, and to get it that thin, you need a skilled hand making it, so it’d cost arm and a leg to get fitted and sewn.
Textile armour is pretty old - usually layers upon layers of heavy fabrics - and popped up pretty much everywhere that made textiles.
Ah, this episode gives me so many flashbacks to when I worked at a country club. "Chair covers" alone gives me shivers.

You are correct, though to be fair....not really a lot can be done for a broken rib but time. :) So, I kind of appreciate a wee nod to realism. That said, I noticed that too.
@Smoke 003723 I'm not sure that's right for a couple of reasons. Firstly, EVERYONE has gotten at least one downtime action at the end of every adventure, even if they missed the previous one. Secondly, there have been weeks prior in which characters present on the last adventure got a downtime action in the beginning despite being on two in a row.
Granted, it is possible that they are playing fast and loose with and/or losing track of the rules; I am an avid Oxventure fan, after all. More likely, though, it's one *BONUS* downtime action for every adventure you missed, with everybody getting one by default

This is said often, but Luke is a *fantastic* DM, I'm fascinated by his storytelling and quick thinking every new episode!
