I saw them Saturday in Lafayette. Fantastic show! We were lucky enough to have Ernie Halter open. Here is a video on his channel where he performs with Home Free and Straight No Chaser (and a few others). Ernie is the gentleman in the hat that sings right after Austin. ua-cam.com/video/xz-a3pY8kdk/v-deo.html
I just saw them last Sunday night, April 14th, in Huntsville, AL. I drove up from a little south of Atlanta because it was a night I didn't have to work. 😃👍🏼
I love this song & its video. As always, the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are perfect. Although the song is a revised re-release it seems particularly apropos for Austin now. Whomsoever joins the group, Austin is gonna be a tough act to follow. Not only his singing & song writing but also his vivacious personality.
This is a cover of the song that Mark Cooke originally recorded. Home Free recorded it on their "Crazy Life" album right after they won "The Sing-Off" and have re-released it now on their newest "Crazy(er) Life" album. LOVE this arrangement/performance❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree
Such a fun song. It’s an original. Yes, part of the Country Music Cruise. Loved Tim singing to the fish. Austin and Adam killed it. Adam would love your t-shirt as he’s a huge D & D fan. Good one!😍😄
❤may I recommend Home Free songs House Party, Summer in the Country, Good old Boy Good Time, California Country, and Feelin It they are bobs vibes and just fun and have family in them
Darren Rust WAS a boy band. The Blenders were YOUNG when they started that group 30+ years ago. Given their ages, I'm fairly sure all of the HF guys listened to boy bands. This, too, is a remake of what was billed as an original HF song on Crazy Life in 2014. One if the writers is a friend of Tim's and brought the song to them for their first post-Sing Off album.
I agree with you. Austin is such a part of Home Free's DNA and their sound. It will be a complete transformation when someone else comes in (not a replacement). I think it will be hard for some people, myself included. But I, of course, will be open minded and open hearted. But, I do hope it's someone that can fit into their country vibe. It's going to be tough for the next tenor that comes in. There's going to be alot of pressure on them. Love you DJ! ❤🍟🎵
I totally agree about I Austin, none of them are replaceable, i hate to see Austin go, even though we understand why, he is definitely going to be missed
I can say that Austin has mentioned a few times in interviews regarding who inspired them when they were coming up, he noted Shawn Stockman of Boyz 2 Men. He was a judge on the Sing Off and commended Austin several times on his voice. Austin was so honored to hear that from him! Loved your reaction, DJ! It is an original. They were in Key West, Florida after the cruise was done.
@@lampherem48446 ua-cam.com/video/H5HgYecM0hY/v-deo.htmlsi=FDshm9VlgU3EU5JC&t=7 Tim says it's an original. I read somewhere that there are circumstances where the first performer isn't considered the original artist and this song seems to be one of them.
Nice reaction. The song is great. And it's great to hear the song updated with the current lineup. BUT... The original video done back in 2014 makes the song that much better. It is super cute. Please do check it out. And if you have not watched the original video for "Everything will be ok"...well...get the tissues out before you watch it.
A big smile comes to my face, because ..Fortunately the weather is very nice now, although it would be chilly, rainy and cloudy when I hear this song, the sun shines inside me. I have had tiring and emotional weeks, but then you suddenly realize what certain music does to you, in a positive way. And it's not just in the beautiful voices and the best beatboxing they have, but the total feeling they give. It's exactly the same for me as you say: I always get a special feeling when Rob sings
Thanks for reacting to this one. I am trying to listen to all the Home Free I can today and tomorrow, I see them live for the first time Sunday so I am getting prepared!
This is a great original song that the guys did back in 2014. Nice hearing a new version of it. Great harmonies from all the guys including Adam's awesome vocal percussion. Also fun seeing sights from the guy's recent music cruise.
This is wonderful, I loved it. I absolutely get the Boyband feel too, absolutely agree 100%! This was such a VIBE Thank you for this reaction DJ! adored it as always
This is the perfect day for your reaction to this song. We've got 50 mph wind right now and it has everything blowing everywhere! Tim singing to a puffer fish was kind of perfect too! The guys were the entertainment for a cruise somewhere - no idea where - but wherever it is, they weren't allowed to technically make a video so it was filmed using someone's cell camera and then put together. I've been on fan based cruises before and they're so much fun, especially the constant interactions with whoever it is that the fan cruise is for and think the guys were sell out a cruise ship if they had one. I know I'd be there!
The original is by Mark Cooke who also wrote it. Great reaction! 🍟 Update : Mark did not write this although he's listed as the author on a couple of lyric sites. Thanks for the update Paula.
Mark's third single, “Any Way The Wind Blows,” was written by Mark Nesler, Marty Dodson, and Jennifer Hanson. Nesler offered it to Home Free after Cooke..sort of .disappeared
Why do Americans reduce everything to stats, as if music was a competitive sport? I'm heartily sick of this obsession with ranges, when it's what you do within your range that counts. Peter Hollens has small children and lives in Oregon, so i doubt he would be in the market for flogging around in the bus for weeks on end. There is a reason he does everything online and never appears live.
Peter Hollins COULD do it because he's good at lifting his voice up and out like Austin does. But I don't think he would want to tour. He's likely happier with the occasional collaboration.
Out of curiosity, has anyone else had youtube recommend to them a version of Grace Kelly performed by an a capella group Toxic Audio because of other groups they've been listening to? It's an oldie, but it has a very familiar guest singer for that performance.
Yeah, it is one that gets recommended because a lot of people who like other groups like Toxic (or Vox) Audio (they go by both names depending one where they are performing)...There's also a fabulous version of Voiceplay's Chicken Song where Toxic Audio's Paul (Beatboxer/Baritone) steps in for Tony Wakim (of "Maggie the Waitress" fame)
Saw them 2 nights ago in concert ... what a party ! They are so much fun and sound even better in person , if that's possible ! #HOMEFREE

This was filmed on the Country Cruise ship and in the Bahamas. The video for Jump Right In was filmed in Key West, FL.

This was a Home Free original.
Home Free will be on the next Country Music Cruise next January.
Definitely NOT an original, it was first performed by Mark Cook about 10 years ago.
@@lampherem48446 I was basing that off of the original video which states:
So excited to share our video for our original "Any Way the Wind Blows!"

You should watch the older version of the video, because it is the cutest story. The vocals aren't significantly different, though.
Such a fun one. The original video is quite cute.

I'm afraid that you are absolutely correct. Thank you so much.

Home Free has already been invited to be on the 2025 Country Music Cruise and they said they will be doing it 😊
With or without Austin?
@@Charity322 obviously without considering he’s leaving in the fall and the cruise is January 19-26 2025 and they are already on the guest line up
@@LynnRamsay Wasn't sure exactly when he was leaving and wondered if it had been arranged before then.
The little stands at the cruise ports all look very much alike. You can find the same band t-shirts and cheap souvenirs in almost all of them.

Dylan, I knew this was going to be a playlist song !
Great reaction as always, DJ. I definitely dig the shirt. That's the cover of my 1981 Basic D&D boxed set that was more magenta than red.
