Fantastic video guys. You certainly had the weather on your side. Phenomenal views over the Glyders and Carneddau. Bet you wished you had packed your tent and camped to wake up with the sun peaking over Tryfan! I camped up at Ffynnon Llugwy a few years back and can vouch for that lane back to the main road, it never ends! ATB Andy
Good morning Andy, thanks for watching and your cracking comment. I bet that was an awesome camp, something you won't forget in a hurry! 🤭👍 we've camped near the devils kitchen a couple of times, this trip was a week long venture and we had a nice little cottage just up the road, also that was the last we saw of the sun lol, the rain moved in for the next few days, such is the mountain life 🤭🤗🌞🤞❤
Hi there 😊 im planning to do exact same hike in about week..u watch so many videos so far from this trail but yours video is so far best..perfectly showed path and commented..so I know what is waiting for me. Well done. Can I please ask is there somewhere after that forst scramble tiny flat grass spot to pitch tent? I can see on Google maps some tiny spots between rock but hard to day how flat and bug it is also if its rocky. Weather forecast promise strong winds on day I will be there so I did hope I could be sheltered between rocks. Also descending down back to valley you said it's bit scramble and I see on some videos path down to lake from top is bit narrow , it will be probably some snow there how visible is path ? Is it managable in little snow. (Taking micro crampons amd ice axe with me). Mamy thanks for reply..Lucy
Great video, brought back memories! I've walked that route several times in both directions and that road from Ffynnon Llugwy to/from the A5 seems even longer when you're climbing it. Enjoyed all your Snowdonia videos, keep 'em coming.
It was a great day out and a smashing walk! Sorry, there is no talking with this one. It was pre microphone. Tried to showcase the route as best we could, enjoy you time in Wales, Ceri and Kat 🛶🗺☕️👍🧭
@pred202 The path is not overly clear. You can see smooth, scared rocks from other hikers and crampon scratches. Just a case or picking a route that you feel confident in, Kat guided us, and we did OK. we had summer conditions . Allow plenty of time and sounds like you are doing your homework 👍
@@TeaInValhalla I took a quick look at your latest video, looks good. We are all well all things considered, at least there is no stopping a good walk.
@@Davenrachey pleased to hear you are all well 😄 walking and the outdoors keep us sane....ish hahah! You'll have to shout if you want any Snowdon tips, doing it with the family or friends? May sway your route choice 🤗
What a fabulous days hiking! Only been to Snowdonia once when I climbed Snowdon, with friends about 3 years ago but we are hoping to go back in October for 4 nights and do a lot more exploring. We also want to visit Portmeiron, which Mrs Metalman is very keen on after watching your video of it with me. I am really missing days like this so badly, nice to watch, cheers Alan
Hello Alan, you and mrs Metalman are so lovley, there are so many wonderful things to see and do in Snowdonia. We would also recommend the Llanberis slate mine museum, it was totally free and everyone was so lovely, especially the slate demonstration. This was indeed a fab days hiking, one of our favourite Snowdonia routes, greatvveiws baclnon Tryfan and the Glyders too. We missing Wales and the lakes so much, fingers crossed it wont be long now and we can return Alan. Just made a Grassmoor video, old footage tho a little wobbly, unsure if we should realise or not, might just had a voice over to explain the route. Catch you soon , best wishes, Ceri and Kat ❤☕👍
Hey SC, yes by the end our legs were bit our friends lol! The scramble was a good introduction to this kind of route, not to harsh the route we took. Stay safe and well, Ceri and Kat ❤☕🏔
Enjoyed that guys, looking to camp up on Dafydd this weekend, is there anywhere flat ish with grass as it looked very rocky lol any info would be greatly appreciated 😁👌👍ATB Mark & Simon
Happy New Year, and thank you for your support and feedback. I remember that video! Sprry for the slow response, this must have slipped through the comment net! We wish you all the best for 2023! Catch you soon, Ceri and Kat 😊🧭☕️❤️🗺
Hello Ryan, Ceri here....I to struggle with scrambles and such, but this was very achievable. Wouldn't advise on a wet day and would recommend an OS map or Veiw Ranger for a route 👍 this was one of my first scrambles and really enjoyed it! ❤⛰👍
Thanks for the comment Roy, yes our early works are pretty rough. We start talking from the Rhinogs Wild Camp onwards, also develop some better editing and music choices, all beit always limited to the YT library. Have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ❤️☕️🫖👍
@@TeaInValhalla yes, your other videos are so much better to watch🥰. Thank you for sharing your video's, gives me the opportunity to see what a hike or scramble looks like. Keep on sharing the good stuff, I'll be watching you!👌🏻👍🏻
Suggested 4 years later! 😀
Never been up Pen yr Ole Wen that way, will have to give it a go someday
What a great looking hike and fantastic weather! Will have to try this myself one day :)
We would highly recommend this route, beautiful from start to finish! :)

Fun bit of scrambling 👌
I enjoyed the scrambles, even if it was a little nerve-wracking!

Looked like a wonderful day up in the mountains with great views and a nice bit of scrambling! :-)
Nearly a year to the day! It was a fantasic hike and one we would do again in a heartbeat. Thank for the sub, will check you channel out tonight 😁🤗
Great video, guys. Good to see you supporting Papyrus - a great cause, especially in these difficult times.
Thanks Rob, alot more videos to come and we fly the Papyrus flag when ever we can. Pleased you enjoyed it, glorious Snowdonia
Good little video guys, I’ll look forward to watching the rest, I’m planning a trek up snowdon next year
Ah thanks David! We have started adding some audio to our newer videos, from our Rhinog Fawr wild camp, please to have a look! Hope you are well 🤗
