I just picked up a 2021 4Runner TRD Premium. I am having a lot of fun watching your channel and getting ideas. I am not sure I will have the guts to do some of the things I am thinking about but I love the creativity.

I prefer the stock look to the colored look. However, it looks SO MUCH BETTER when you match it to the paint like that. When I was searching for mine, I can't tell you how many I was turned off by because it had the red trim but was a gray truck. Plus, I love black and blue so you have my approval here!

I have 017 tacoma trd offroad white has chrome bumper corners have chrome grill I like the looks of factory not wanting put too much of anything into it just in case I trade it in sell it for something else, I see you like blue it is my favorite color can't believe red use to be my favorite..
I have a 2017 as well, Ive been thinking about doing the same with the rear bumper. plastic dip on the factory front grill, leveling kit, 33's with 18" moto wheels. Looks pretty good, lift coming in the next few months. Id add a picture if i could haha
Truck is looking stellar! I didn’t see your vision with the bumper caps, but once they were installed, two thumbs all the way up!! I’d take the wrap off the grille personally (maybe do Raptor style LEDs?) but it’s your truck. Again, looking great!
What babout the metal clip in the bumper? Coukdnt even get mine off but saw a video of a guy who had a metal clasp inside that he coukdnt quite get back on normal
When I took these end caps off, a metal clipped had popped off and there way no way it was going back on! There were enough clips to hold it in place without that! I never had any issues without using it!

This is from BP Fabricating and they do offer grills that work with the sensor, I don't believe they offer this one anymore, but you can check some of them out!
Anyone figured out how to get the chrome toyota emblem colored on the steering wheel? I have a quicksand off road and the trim like it was done here and that emblem would set it off pretty nice i think. Is it just 3m tape maybe?

Any issues with the bumper caps since those small silver clips were not reinstalled? I’m wanting to do the same to my truck, just don’t want to run into any issues in regards to that
I'm not planning on it since I don't have the vehicle in a rust prone environment. 3 years later everything is still perfect. No con to under coating the vehicle if you will be in areas with a lot of salt or moisture.
The blue lettering on the grille looks mismatched compared to the body paint. It may just be that camera and the lighting or something, but it looked a little off to me, maybe a little to dark with more of a purplish hue to it. Other that that it looks great man. I have a 2015 taco 5 speed that I'm doing all black and white. Taillights should be in in a few days then I gotta order my headlights and paint my grille and those corner rear bumper pieces satin black. After all that I'm getting the rough country bull guard with the 20 inch led bar built in.

I have all the cans in the description, the blue though I had to have paint matched from a local auto parts store, that was the easiest way to do that.
Since you posted this video up back in December of 2017, how's the rear bumpers holding up with the plastidip? Has it peeled up on the corners yet or gotten scratched up from road debris? Also how many coats did you apply?
Everything has been fine with them, even power washing from off road, it has all stayed in tack, I think we did 7 or 8 coats, so it's been very durable.
Bros FOURR Speed I’m thinking of doing the same so how many cans of plasti dip do you think I need? Also, where did you get that sprayer adapter that is on top of the plasti dip can? What did you clean the bumpers with before pairing? I saw a big white square can on the ground.
nice touch! just on the rear on the lower side of the bed were is painted black but theres a gap of blue still, you should paint that edge between the bumper and the bed black also, it will look even better, but overall nice job!
after watching your vids i think im definitely going with a tacoma i was leaning towards the colorado but the tacoma to me seem way better bang for your buck and that crawl control is legit
I like the black bumpers but don’t like the tailgate and side of the truck black too much going on of a contrast the pro grill is what that truck needs and some led lights

Danny California everyone is getting that TRD Pro grill though. This at least sets him apart from the rest. You won’t see many of these as much as the pro. I think that grill is sick. I do like the TRD Pro grill but everyone has it.
Danny California I agree, I'm apart of a tacoma fb page and everyone is ordering the pro grill, it looks cool, but everyone is going to have it now, it won't be unique.
Pro grill looks great but, again everyone is getting one. I've seen a lot of custom grills and this is one of the cleanest looking ones. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the same grill. I know what it will look like on my truck as I have the same year and color.
Do you have a bad rear axle that warps the rear drums problem. Toyota has a class action lawsuit against them. They involve 2016-2018 Tacomas. You may not notice it right away. I almost bought one today until I found that article. Eventually they will show their ugly head. Maybe yours not affected. Couldn't take a chance.

I used plastidip. Has held up great for 3 years! Just installed a high clearance bumper. So they are gone now.

I haven't seen any issues, there was no way to get those clips back on but they have been fine.
The interior and the rear bumper look great. I would ditch the letters on the grill. Keep it all black
have you undercoat your truck from rusting ? any recommendation ? pros and cons

My white Tacoma came with a copper colour interior trim pieces that also match the seat stitching!! I love having some colour inside the truck

Where did you get the blue paint? Is blue pearl the name of the paint or what?
It's not the exact blazing blue pearl, but an auto store can mix that for you..I went with a ultra metallic pearl I think it was, very close.
Where did you get that grill and will it fit a 2016 trd off road?
This is from Bullet Proof fabricating, check their website, they have grills for that year, not sure which one tho, but it should!

It was just Dupli color. I found one that matched very close. Automotivetouchup.com is a better option. You can order OEM colors in spray cans.

Plasti Dip. It sells on average $5 a can. You can get it at most Big Brand Stores or automotive shops (Walmart)
