- AtGames was kind enough to send over a demo unit a few weeks ago to the Arcade Loft here of their newer 1.1 version of the AtGames Legends Ultimate Arcade Machine. In this video we do a quick assembly and review of the product 'out of the box' and try to determine if it is better than the 1.0 version and what improvements have been made? If you have a 1.0 AtGames Legends Ultimate Arcade Machine do you need to upgrade to the 1.1? Let's Find Out!
The AtGames Legends Ultimate 1.1 Cabinet can be purchased at Wal-Mart (Wal-Mart bundle DOES NOT include the optional Pinball Button Kit but is compatible with the kit that can be ordered separately) or can be purchased at Sam's Club which includes the Pinball Button Kit.

Just got my 1st atgames cabinet. Its the sams club ver 1.1. No damage whatsoever from shipping. I did pick it up from sams club though. I also had zero issues with the side panel art. I did not follow the instructions though. I just started at the top and pulled slack and tightened the clear screws one at a time until it looked smooth. I love this thing. I just need to figure out how to add my own games. I need the mortal kombats and some NBA jam on here!

Hey, I've got you covered, on that removeable side art slack. Go to a DIY store, and ask for Elmer's Fabric Adhesive spray. It's not permanent, and won't harm the cabinet, or the art. Lightly spray onto the art's backing, wait a minute for it to get tacky, and carefully apply the artwork, as if it were vinyl. Then secure the side art screws. Wish I had one of these to test with. They keep selling out, and my Sam's Club won't order replacements. LOL Thanks for the video.

I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking screw it in to line it all up and then starting from the top remove screws and start the spraying process working your way down so it lines up nicely and getting the bubbles out using a shower squeegee.
Love this cabinet and I highly recommend to anyone on the fence. I play this more than any of my 1ups because the cabinet quality and game variety is so good. 1.1 owners also get a game pack to download 10 extra games once you update to the 5.2 firmware. Loving the extra 10 games as well. Excited to see what side art is released.

Just purchased the 1.1 at Sams. Everything assembled perfect. I was disappointed with the way the art work installed. Some of the plastic screws were a bit tight and the soft plastic were easily stripped. Also instructions for the pinball buttons were not clear. It came with a second piece that would snap together. I finally figured out that second piece may be for an install on the 1,0. The buttons installed perfectly with out the second piece. Enjoy your videos very helpful.
I did not install the artwork and flipped the front panel to the blank side. The system works great and I am very happy with the 1.1 cabinets.

Outside of more custom options from the various shops that offer them (which is much more pricey) this is the best bet for anyone looking to get into cabinets. I already have a Recroom Masters Xtensions Jr cabinet which is not much smaller than a full size but to keep going that route in 2022 would cost an insane amount of $ in shipping fee's alone.
I'm getting their Pinball cabinet soon i hope, whenever they ship to Bestbuy/Amazon. Looks like they are delayed, but i also plan to add one of these to the mix, 3 machines should be enough lol. Depends on how this recession/war pan out. Seems like Revelation atm. . .

Nice review Pdubs. Not a fan of the artwork but at the same time I like that it will be easy to customize. I also like the gamer pro with the 8 buttons instead of spinners. The spinners are cool but I've also always felt its in a weird location. Definitely very usable though. At least we have options

The grass is always greener. I built my own arcade cab on wheels so it wouldn't take that much room. Used the gamer pro to my 3d tv but would live spinners. I'm thinking about drilling a hole in my gamer pro to put a third party spinner in it.
Great video once again PDubs!!! I’ve been using my 1.1 for over a week and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! It has soooo many capabilities that I feel a lot of people don’t realize. Also the removable side art didn’t bother me much. I like that I can swap it out. This advice as far as placement may help someone out. When I put mine on I put the Art on with all the screws but didn’t fully tighten them. Then I started to tighten from the top down while smoothing the siding flat with my other hand. By the time I got to the bottom screws my side Art laid about 99% flat. Can hardly tell it’s not adhered to the side.
I agree. I used a similar technique and mine looks 97%. Friends don't notice it unless I point it out. I'll take it for the ability to swap out artwork down the road.

I'm really dig-N my 1.0 Legends Ultimate ( Sams Club Edition ) .. I see No need for me to even think abOut the 1.1 just to play Pinball .. I've owned 294 pins since 08 , and Virtual pinball Isn't 4 me .. I have a USB loaded w/ CoinopsX 1200 games on the way from Ebay ,, that Should be a BlASt .. Great videO thO cool .. later B_R
As mentioned in the review if you have the 1.0 you don't need to run off and buy the 1.0 as the 1.0 is future proof with firmware updates, you are only going to miss out on some accessory compatibility.
Can you ask AtGames to reduce the amount of time that the volume is displayed? It stays on the screen way too long and can block the game while playing and adjusting the volume.
I honestly think they have mentioned before that is a hardware thing and not something they can adjust via firmware patch.
It’s a monitor thing. It’s not attached to the firmware in any way sadly. It is an annoyance as most older games the volume covers your character at the bottom. I just pause the game now and wait.

Meh, I'm having trouble using the 1.0 cabinet. Don't make enough time to play. I only have an interest in a specific set of classic arcade games and it's been too difficult putting them all together. Seems to work out better with the pre-assemble game collections on discs for Xbox. (Namco/Williams, etc.)

Hey PDuba Great video!!! just received the 1.1 version about a week ago. Love It!!! Can you do a Tron Flight stick install video. The comp board in the 1.1 is not the same as the 1.0 cabinet and the longer screws in the package don't fit the screw holes (to small) but the original screws are long enough. The 5 watt connection for the LED's Is not the same as the 1.0 cabinet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Glen himself said the Tron flight stick is not compatible with the 1.1 but he's working on finding a way to make it work.
I imported from Walmart to the UK. Some sort of weird 1.0 and 1.1 hybrid...the deck and monitor seems to be 1.1 with the screw holes for the art on the top. The bottom base still has the art printed on to it...no flappy vinyls.
Great review PW. I think I would leave the sides black. That would be better than the misfitting art.
A simple fix for the art-the artwork packs they can sell can be thin sheets of wood we screw onto the cab. At least, I hope that was their plan. That's why the one included with the cab is so bad and id even say, untested.
Their joysticks are better, but using my gamer has taught me that all parts are meant to be replaced on any toy shipped out without name brand parts. Two games of Fighter History and I knew things needed changing.

Sam’s Club was asking for a $50 handling fee. It includes the pinball kit though, so it’s all good.
The pinball buttons are supposed to be "spongy" as you put it, not "click". On pinball machines and (good) pin cabs, the buttons are not microswitches, but leaf switches.
Atgames is not using leaf switches, they are using unique contact plates. Its quite interesting and yes they may be spongy for faster response time, they feel different but do the job as said in the video. I appreciate the feedback and comment
I have the 1.0 with peeling side art. It started peeling 30 days after I received it. Too bad for the 1.1 they didn't come up with a magnetic connect system for their artwork much like a removable magnetic speaker grill for a nice tower speaker.

Think I have the v1.11 version :-) mine arrived a few days ago with the art work already applied to the sides in vinyl - no mention of the art work now either in the user guide! looks much better already applied.

That is the Recroommasters 32" vertical sit down xtension cabinet. Its pretty sweet :)
Is there any other benefit to using the Legends Gamer Pro in the Legends Arcade setup besides the 8 buttons vs 6 buttons? Like, are the controls otherwise upgraded/better?
That artwork thing would be SUPER annoying... I hope there's a workaround, or at least any upgraded artwork fits better.

Love the cabinet, but I opted not to use the side art....couldn't stand the wrinkles.....wish this idea was executed better....would have been an awesome feature! Think I'll ordering a kit from Szabos......Also, I haven't been able to get the pinball buttons mapped properly on the FX3 games.....would love to see some video on this?

I am also interested in a Pinball FX3 tutorial please and thank u. Tried a quick and dirty install streaming from my laptop today. Ended up with the left button controlling the right flipper and the right button controlling the left flipper! It was nuts, Lol! (Also had terrible lag despite connecting laptop directly to ALU via HDMI to HDMI).
We just got our Legends Ultimate 1.1 three days ago and I've been watching ur channel non stop since I ordered it! So cheers, your efforts are much appreciated!
PS-My fam can't wait to get an Etsy usb drive with 1200+ or 5500+ games on it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on any of the homemade usb drives offered for the Legends Ultimate Arcade.
@@undertubegirls7214 I was having the same issues on my 1.1....the button config and the lag were driving me nuts! I think I'm just gonna end up building a dedicated pinball table or wait for the at games table before I mess with pinball anymore...lol. I did buy an etsy drive, and so far it's been great! Not perfect though...there are games that don't work....Go to the Global at games facebook page, I had a great guy in that group build a drive for me, and all I had to do was pay for the device and shipping....he didn't charge me any labor! Good group of people over there! Cheers!

Good review Patrick, overall I’m not feeling to bad having the original. I hate the bubble artwork. That should be fixed and people should be sent replacement artwork. The pinball buttons should have been cut to drop in. Both things you covered. I wish the pinball buttons were a bit different I can see myself hitting nudge buttons by mistake and tilting to much. I hope they use better quality on the just pinball unit that I’m really looking forward to. I updated to 5.0 but no Taito games? Did I miss another update? Overall fair review, but don’t feel I’m missing out having version 1.
Can you also use your 1.1 with the Legends Core like the gamer proas a standalone or with it for 3-4 player games.
Did you have any issues with the bezel on the monitor? Mine seems to have an adhesive problem and the lower part pops out and covers the ports at times. I'll wait for the warranty to be over and fix it later. Rather not return it and risk not getting another one (out of stock) because I love this cabinet!

Hi. Thanks for your videos. I've long wanted a full-sized arcade cabinet and this looks like a good and reasonably priced option (outside of DIY). Do you happen to have any insight on if now is a decent time to purchase one or is a new version (1.2?) on the horizon? Thanks again.
Will future cabinet Rt packs include art for the kick plate as well? Does the kickplate have the same interchangeable functionality as the side panels?
Does anyone know if there is an HDMI port on the interior of the cabinet, it would be nice to have an HDMI switcher hidden in the back to connect additional systems firetv etc, I believe you could do this with version 1

I heard if we don’t wanna see the game names on front of cabinet then you can just install the piece of wood with the game names facing in instead...but is the backside of that panel finished in black color like the rest of cabinet? Thx
Yes backside of the panel is black and matches the rest of the cabinet so you can flip it. Have to review it "out of the box"
Which one I should get I have a chance of getting the 1.0 ver but unsure if I should get it or should I get the 1.1 instead? Please help me choose...
I was thinking that it would be great to have two ALUs. One that would for the racing and light gun games so there wouldn’t have to be so much switching out accessories. What do you think?

I have heard that the new 1.1 arcades do not have an HDMI plug from the monitor to the CPU? Is this true? If so what plug type does it have? LVDS? TDS? How many pins is the plug to the monitor/CPU? I ask as I wanted to record my gaming on my 1.1 cabinet once it arrives from Sam's Club.
Also, for the side panel art, I have heard that if you lay out the art pieces on a flat surface for 24 hours before you install them it helps out tremendously with bubbling and wrinkles.
When I stream pinball from my steam account I have a hard time getting the pinball buttons to work. I have to use one top pinball and one bottom pinball button to play. When I connect the computer the otg way and mimic an xbox one controller it doesn't give me an option to map the side buttons. I have to use top buttons. If you can cover that when you do the pinball video it would be greatly appreciated. Great video as always. Thanks...!!
Im stuck between a rock and a hard place i can either get one of these for Christmas or a 1.4k gaming laptop I'm leaning towards this but at the same time would like the laptop but i really don't need as much power as the laptop im considering getting has because i don't hard-core pc game so I'm kinda thinking just get this

Hello - I am interested in an Arcade Legends Ultimate machine.
I would like to know whether you can connect a PC to the hardware of the Legends Ultimate and control the PC with the hardware of the Legends Ultimate and also play the Windows PC games (e.g. JumpRun) with it? I don't want to stream a game from my PC to the Legends Ultimate! I would know whether the monitor and the controller board can be connected to a Windows 10 PC and this can then also be used for direct games (as a kind of plug and play) or can be used jointly via additional connections. I don't want a game subscription from AtGames, I don't want to stream anything from the network but rather use the existing hardware (PC and Legends Ultimate) offline, so to speak.

I made a video showing pinball fx3 on the legends cabinet like a year ago. However I would prefer to play on the actual pinball machine or the gamer mini or pro these days.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft I asked since you mentioned in this video about doing one for the ULA 1.1 pinball games (you briefly play the leprechaun one).
@@wryker oh cloud pinball is too hot and cold of an experience for me. Now that you can locally play 127 gottlieb and zaccaria games the experience is way better on the arcade cabinet.

@@KeithMyers2022 Thank you. I don't have any arcade1up machines. Not a fan of them. I built most of my cabs from scratch but I suck at the artwork and putting stickers on stuff. I do own the Legends Gamer Pro but I would like spinners.

@@abeber87 The screen should be 4:3. With the wide screen, the vast majority of retro games don't fit the screen and present a tiny gaming area. Terrible idea. Refer to Arcade1Up and iircade for the proper screen aspect ratio.
Hey Pdubs. I wonder if you'd be kind enough to do me a favor. I'm tracking what appears to be a nasty memory leak on the console games side of the LU. I initially thought it was limited to the Genesis platform, but it now appears to be affecting the 2600 platform, as well. Could you please, run any game, at random, on those platforms, and tell me if you observe audio artifact, which builds, over time, after about 10, to 15 minutes, both in demo, and active playing of these games. On my machine, the audio artifact builds to a point the game becomes unplayable, after about 15 minutes. My machine is the 1.1 version, and I'm on the latest firmware, as of 12-January, 2021, by the way. I'm reporting this issue to AtGames, but have yet to hear back from them. Also, on my machine, I'm observing audio video desync, in which audio trails action, by as much as 3/4 of a second, on all games, all platforms. Thanks.

The weight of the sams club edition in box is 185lbs.
The stability was never the issue it was the quality of materials. No one like camlocks.
I don't know how you do it with a straight face mate. First my 1.0 doesn't shake or rock at all. Second my 1.0 took all of 15 minutes if not less to assemble. Third you're bragging about those new boards right? How sturdy can they be when they're delivered broken? I've seen many a lads on here showing us those same boards broken right out the box. Next at my school we learned that 350 is greater than 300. Now too the marquee, that new marquee is like a wish you sandwich. Then your all gigly about the new HDMI layout. Some blokes received units where they couldn't even find the bloody things. Then when the do the bloody thing keeps popping back out over the ports. Speaking of which how many HDMI ports are on this one mate? Call it like it is the AGLU 1.0 is a vastly superior machine. 8 out of ten again huh Dubs Dubs Dubs...
shipping damage happens for all companies and products. I just ordered a star wars collectible off Amazon that arrived smashed. Shit happens. The amount of units that arrive damaged are always far less than the units that arrived perfectly. For any product. And as always the ones that are the most vocal are the unhappy ones for obvious reasons. I did mention in the review longer assembly time. Still takes less time to build this than an arcade1up. I have both cabinets...the 1.1 is definitely more structurally sound. 300 games vs 350 they removed a bunch of coleco/atari crap, not a bad move in my opinion. Only coleco fans will care no one else does.. And 2 hdmi ports was stupid to begin with you only use one at a time and can use a hub/switcher. I stand by my review and present my opinions based upon my experience with the product. I cannot comment on 2 guys whose bezel popped loose or shipping damage as you can see the unit arrived in great shape, no damage and packaging was sufficient in my opinion. Have you seen the ring camera videos where they show how these boxes are treated by fedex/ups? Lol its a nightmare. Try moving this cabinet around your house. You'll feel more comfortable vs moving the 1.0. Also in the review I mentioned if you have the 1.0 you don't need to buy a 1.1. This was a fair and honest review based upon MY experience. At some point you have to be concerned about the every day consumer spending their hard earned money especially in these times. As a pose to keeping your master happy. If they cut you off they cut you off. Cut those strings mate become a truly uncompromised voice of the consumer.Also I stand by me criticism of the 1.1 AGLU.
