Henning, I picked up a couple of the flat cables after seeing them on your channel a few months ago and I love them. I ended up replacing every cable on my board with them. They're cheaper than regular old patch cables, smaller and pretty tough. Of course they sound great too. Thanks for doing what you do.
I bought one of each size of Rockboard flat patch cable after your video. Great cables, working well for me so far, but I'm looking at my 10cm flat cable and actually thinking its just more practical and flexible than the 'bender' version. I'm struggling to see where the Bender would be better than Rockboard's 10cm flat cable! EDIT: Ah, maybe at 9:00 that's where they shine, if you put the loops at the top rather than down between the bars of the pedalboard. I still can't figure out the caterpillar bit though... can't see that it would give strain relief, just make the cable more difficult to bend. Still, respect to Rockboard for the flat cable concept.
Hi Henning.I bought 6 rockboard 10mm cables after your first video on them and while they were great for space between the pedals 3 of them stopped working.Have you heard of anyone else having trouble with them?
M Fb aaaahhhm... ctualy, that is a VERY good point... they just don't make them that short I guess... and this in is still strong and stable even thought it is short.... you have a point... but that doesn't make the bender a stupid product... for some reason it feels more solid than a normal cable...
well, there even are soldering irons and cables you can buy in bulk and individual plugs you can solder on there... I just looked up the capacitance this cable has. Being that small I expected it to be high and well... it turned out to be 100 pF per meter. The Sommer Spirit (pretty common) has roughly 78 pF/m, the XXL has 88pF/m and the well praised Klotz LaGrange has 67pF/m. That means that these flat cables will cause more capacitive loading of your pickup and therefore shift the mid-boost of your pickup to lower frequencies ("less treble"). It might not be noticable on short runs, though. The mechanical design with the flat 90 degree connectors makes sense inbetween pedals but having three meter long patch cables of that type seems completely pointless to me.
Well... I have never seen rockboard patch-cables before now... Never seen them here in Norway. I am now using the EBS ones. I think they are really good and I have not had any problems with them. Just a tip ;) ( ebssweden.com/content2/patch-cables-connectors/ )
Henning, I hope that at some point you get asked to demo the incredible pedals from GFI System in Indonesia. They were at NAMM this year (opposite the Chase Bliss stand I believe). Apart from the excellent Specular Reverb, they have just released a stereo cab sim called the CabZeus. It does all that the Neunaber does but a lot more besides, including saveable presets. midi access, two channel cabinet blending etc. I've not used one, but can vouch for how good the other pedals are. Pleas bear them in mind as the owner, Henry Widjaja, is a top bloke.
Hi Henning, I think it's safe to say that a demo of the Iconoclast will be coming soon so, if you don't mind, could you demo the Iconoclast with a preamp pedal like the AMT or Two Notes Le 'insert name here' pedals?
what would have been really useful.... shorter straight to angled cables for people with switchers. don't want to spend so much money for evidence cables or something similar.
6:15 first dirty joke --> dog leaves immediately. :D

Very clear picture. Thank you for. vid
Would you recommend using "the bender" over lava cables pancake (flat) patch cables?

I had one that didn't work.... I would just send them back to get a replacement... there should be some kind of warranty.
you know what you can also bend? - a normal cable.. Or am i Missing something here?

I would love to see you do a demo on the new Orange amps... Rocker 15 and Rocker 30, which is stereo. Great tone.
I have VERY in depth demos for both !

It isn't easy getting the Warwick stuff in Trumpville..
If Rockboard now ads patch kable one end straight, one end 90 degree, the collection would be perfect
evidence! I always confused it with Providence ... (^^) that's the expensive cable I can't afford it LOL
Did He say tightly packed pooper?
Hahahaha... geil...
Is Rockboard Warwick?
TJ Nugent - Yes, as far as I know.
Henning why dont you get some coffee company pay for the product placement... just an idea! Love what you do.

Please no more unboxing videos... No one wants to see you opening your mail. Just show the products and demonstrate them. Yeah that...
