    I love how such a simple game is fun to us on different levels. As I enjoy a fully stocked store. I’m really never in the store and stay the storage and see what’s missing and fill a box as one goes missing.

    I don't think spoilage is necessary. I think adding a refrigerated and frozen area to the storage room would be a good addition that would solve that issue just fine.

    Hey Kage, new viewer to your supermarket sim. The key seeming to me making money is to grind and watch the price updated at the start of each day and price within plus .30 cents of it. I saved up to $35K at level 38 then did one expansion X2 license and several shelf’s and had about $24K left and I’m leaving a $10K hard floor not to be used unless vital. Making around $4,500 ish per day since remodel will adds screen shot on next time I play, keep up the content.

    *Kage: how sweet would it be IF the Devs made it so you could hire a manager for your store and then allowed you to open a new store elsewhere in town? That would be… AMAZING!*

      it would definitely make it interesting if you would be able to open different types of stores within the town such as a hardware store, computer store, or garden center.....

    • @Docktavion
      @Docktavion 2 місяці тому

      It would make sense to have the ability to buy their properties around town to specialise shops to different unlocked items.
      Booze shop
      Convenience store
      Fresh products
      Book shop
      Etc.

    The way you play this game is the right way I like the way you set up your store and I do like the storage area because you can have your storage all fill up before you open. The store will have your shelves all fully stock loading area full stop or open the door that’s why I like, set up trying to make a profit. You’re not trying to make quarters and nickels and stuff like that that’s not profit.

    KAGE....Nothing is Wrong with your shelves....items have a popularity cycle, one day beer doesn't sell well and the next day you can't keep it on your shelves ok......and you're exactly right on your pricing way of thinking too....I'm at level 35 and can't break
    4K per day but it's NEVER under 3500 so I can't figure out how it works.....your store is layed out excellently and looks great, I'm going to change mine around to nearly match lol

    I think they should add delivery orders also! You ll hire a delivery boy and he gonna deliver the orders in some houses around! The order can come through computer printed in a paper and fix it and go! Its good way to add extra daily money!

  • @ZeusBrown
    @ZeusBrown 4 місяці тому +2

    I was selling just under market, then I changed everything to 10% over market, rounded down to the nearest nickel, and increased my daily income by nearly 50% while still getting almost nobody complaining about price. So I dunno. I could see lower prices making more sales realistically, but I agree it's weird to have a "that's too expensive" mechanic, but you can lower prices from zero complaints and still get more sales. I would therefore be inclined to assume it doesn't work that way, but as you say, without information it's difficult to know for sure.
    Either way, the analytics update is definitely the one I'm most anticipating.

    It seems like customer numbers increase, and they buy more if the shelves are completely filled. I'm going to keep shelves half-full (but not let them empty) for a couple days and see what happens.

    You only lose out on the profit margin when someone doesn't buy an item. For example: if your profit margin is $2 on an $8 item and raise it to $10 (profit margin $4), and 7 people buy it instead of 10 because of the price increase, you still make $28 profit instead of $20.

    Hey Kage! The Grind is REAL. I just got to book license and have 6 more growth slot to buy… next one is 64500$🙄 i can tell you this: my price are always 10-15% more than market price and for stuff like sushi it means 2-3 dollars more. My average money is 5000 a day and 40/50 complains about prices but… who cares.. is less stockin!problem is that reality is often the same, they jack up prices!😢
    Another tip… often the rigth amount for a product in the store is 3 shelves but the shelves are divided by 4.. think OUT OF THE BOX😝

    If spoilage was added to the game, one way that could work would be to have a big cooler to store cold items and a big freezer to store the frozen items. To make this work so your not wasting all your time hauling your items all over the place would be to have an actual truck show up with the items to unload, have a dolly or pallets you load and then your stockers take those items to their proper storage, either leaving it there for you to stock or if there is labels they could put them away properly.

    4:11 however it will let you give too much change with cash purchases. 16:15 i did that today put every item up 50c over market value and made extra $900 at end of the day. Then again your store is much bigger than mine . might try going even higher again.

      Tried going 75c over market and lost $500. tried going 1c under market and lost even more, now thinking sweet spot maybe between 50 and 75c over.

    After the discussion about customer cap, i decided to pop off stream and restart a new game. I didn't buy any licenses or expansions. Just bought one more shelf to make it easier to keep all products on hand and focus on being the only cashier. Turns out, each store level adds new customers. It seemed to be based on what level you are when the day starts. 1 customer per level it seems. Starting with 22 at level 1. Sometimes you had to wait a little after 9 to let a customer on their way into the store. So 6 products, no expansions and no licenses and customer count slowly crept up along with income and profit. Unfortunately I didn't keep track of average sale. Seemed to be going up but I don't know if that was by chance or if customers buy more on average as the store level goes up. But that would explain the cap you hit on customers and income if your store is max level.

    I can't wait for the credit card processing fee update, the spoilage update, the employee insurance update, the workers comp update, and so on, hehe. But yea it must be hard for dev to decide what to add to make game more fun and immersive without making it more tedious and less fun. EDIT: Thank goodness this game doesn't have the sweepy the store floor feature, that is so freaking annoying of so many games like this where you have to get out the broom and constantly sweep the floor clean from dirt tracked in, spills, etc.

    Maybe the people that’s making more than you have different products in their store that cost like one person has more alcohol or muscle milk or maybe they base their store off certain products in one category like all meat and cheese

    So as far as small profit or profit loss items are concerned, you need to look at the cost/profit per case, not per item. If you spend 30 to buy a case, but only make 42 off of it, you're making 12 dollars a case.

    • @naiokanaeholo5408
      @naiokanaeholo5408 4 місяці тому

      So that shelf space may make you 12 dollars over the course of the day...or you can buy a case of something that has a much higher cost/profit ratio that makes that 12 dollars with 1 or 2 items.

    • @naiokanaeholo5408
      @naiokanaeholo5408 4 місяці тому

      Basically you have too many low profit items taking up valuable shelf space.

    We do not mean u are missing products. We mean u cannot sell air. I have watched every episode of this series. Very often you have empty shelves. The last video I commented on you had an entire 4 ft section beside muscle milk that was empty. That is money you didn't make. Yes u got a perfect score. But that doesn't matter in the name of profits.

  • @andysullivan1120

    I wonder if the daily income amount is determined by something unexpected, such as store layout or total quantity of products (more shelves of products even if they are the same). Who knows? I wish someone would look at the code and tell us all.

    Kage, love your vids. Just some input. I play this game too, up to level 30ish 40K in the bank. I don't see your logic in stocking things in specific places in the store room. I have capped store room to max size. I just buy it, dump it anywhere it fits, very fast to do without 'meandering around finding 'specific' shelf. The re-stockers don't care, they just get stuff and go. I know you are ABCD 'things have to be placed in a way your brain doesn't hurt', but I think you are wasting time stocking in specific places as it is not needed. Just my 2 cents, to each their own. The way i know my stock are low of any item is by wandering around the store at the locked 8:00am and just using my eyes. It's a great fun game. I love it between the seriously complex depth of 'Nightingale' sessions. Still curious why you never got into that game more, as it is so wonderful and has the best flexible min - max stats - crafting system of any game ever. Are you ever going to try it again in a solo play ?

    So, you ask for solutions, but then you are too lazy to apply it 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
    Lower your prices and you will make more, that's the solution.
    For example: product X, you make 5$ profil, but only 5 people buy it, as too expensive, you make a profit of 25$.
    Lower it to 4$ profit, more people buy it like 10 or so, you make 40$ profit.
    There you go, lower prices = more products sold = more money ;)

    Ya gotta take the step ! Anyway, standard practice in business in start-up's 2/3 $ in your pocket 1/3 $ Labor/Utilities seriously,
    What's the Game going to do ? Shut down ? Does the Product go bad ?
    I'd like to see that ! 0h ya, put the milk in the farthest corner of the building Hmm , , , Can you put your "back room" in the middle' of your store ?
    Is it possible to have "Another" Storage Room , , , Could be any shape , , You could , , store your boxes' in back of the sales" shelf
    From the street, to , , , 4 FEET AWAY from product $ shelf t i m e hmm

    You focusing so much on the wrong aspects is super frusturating, and then you getting mad at the audience for trying to clarify something you dont understand is rough.
    May end up skipping the live vids in the future if it continues. Also, why is nobody telling him he is growing too fast?

    • @Chrisseruss
      @Chrisseruss 3 місяці тому +1

      You buy a product liscence, spend a few days at least in game getting used to having it and adding it to your stock budget, let alone the price of any additional room/shelves/fridges/freezers required.
      Slow your roll, and let the money come naturally. Don't expand until you are WELL over the budget too as well as the budget you need to completely restock the back.
      Just my opinion, I have been playing this game a lot and my profit margins are huge at WAY less stock options. I'm steadily growing, not rapidly. Getting my strong legs before I run.

    • @Chrisseruss
      @Chrisseruss 3 місяці тому +1

      I don't understand why it's so hard for you to understand that the product cost in the back does make a huge difference on overall income.

    • @Chrisseruss
      @Chrisseruss 3 місяці тому +1

      More liscences does not equal more money if you can't afford to stock without it cutting into your profits. Which does; surprisingly, affect income

    I'm not understanding the condescending tone about 28 minutes in with the whole "pay attention, this isn't difficult," when you are the one asking for input and advice from people. It's possible you and your audience are talking about the same thing but in different ways. Furthermore, and I mean no disrespect, what difference does it make how much you are making based on what level you are and how many licenses you have? Are YOU having fun with the game? Your audience appreciates you playing and enjoys watching. If you're having fun playing it, those should be the only things that matter.
