Not sure if this is a thing but I noticed when I keep the stock room fully stocked I sell a lot more and when I go to the stock room at the end out the day I'll have to fully restock maybe 35% to 45% of my items in inventory. Just got done with restocking the stock room and it took pretty much a hour and I do that every day so maybe fully stocking the stock room makes more product sell faster cause that is what it seems like for me. But it is amazing how the 3 restockers stand on the sidewalk watching me tote in one box at a time like I can't pick up more then one box at a time and not offer me any help but yeah good times.

I'm not sure if you've noticed but you are paying your employees. Their salary is deducted the next morning when your proces increase, they are not listed on your "How Was Your Day" report
If you look at his total money, nothing is subtracted from his bank, even though it says employee payment.😊
Hey Kage, I hope you read this comment cuz here is what you should do. First, let a day run without buying and stocks and save up. Second, after ending the night and before starting the day, use that money you saved up to fill your entire storage room with all items. Third, let the day run without buying any stocks, then when you end the day you will be able to track better of how much profit you make and what you think you are doing right and wrong each day and just keep doing it like that everyday.
If you want to 'reshuffle' the customers to other cashiers, put your register down, then pick up one of the manned cashiers! They will scatter and go to yours~ then you just set the one you picked up back down and go to yours
I was watching someone else and the person put some boxes on the fridges. Maybe you can put the juice boxes on top of the fridge if you run outta room
I wish the potatoes and the toilet paper would be downsized. Maybe do 4 bags of potatoes per box/shelf. And then toilet paper either 3 or 4 to a box/shelf. Even Costco toilet paper isn't this big as in game. :)
I think that one stocker was using his PTO time, I remember a few videos back saying you wish you could give them days off. Lol
There should be skill points to upgrade your employees to written faster
I no longer worry about keeping my racks full of product in the storeroom. I dedicate four shelves in each shelving unit in the store to most products, all eight shelves for toilet paper and potatoes, and two and a half freezers for chicken. If my shelving space in the store is filled with 48 bottles of honey, and I then fill my rack space with six boxes of honey (72 bottles), I've spent nearly $500 in inventory that's just sitting on my rack not being sold.
On any given day I have about 50 rack spaces with labels that are empty, and I don't worry about that until the store product has dropped to the level where I MUST order more. I do my orders in the morning after the restockers have finished from the previous day, very seldom have to reorder anything during the day, and I don't have to do nearly as much running around restocking racks.
Good to see Sid from Toy Story has grown up and is behaving himself, though he's probably still a psycho.
Love your store layout enough that I'm tempted to copy it.
Kage I don't know if you'll see this but can you try having the lights on as soon as you open? I seen someone saying that having the lights on makes them have bigger purchase orders I don't know how true it is but it's worth trying to see since you are trying to figure out what's going on with that ❤

store looks awesome! IF i was to change anything it would be, the PB, Honey, Cakes, Bread, & Candy in the same row. And put the Mashed Potatoes with the Rice. Sometimes placement matters. But ❤ it either way!😊
I did see a fix for when they are stuck staring at a shelf, take an item off in front of them and replace it. They might just be glitched getting the box so you doing that resets them. As for stuck outside not seen a fix for that while in game.

Do stores look like this where you live? I've worked in a lot of grocery stores and have never had a shelf unit full of the same item. Bread and toilet paper is the only items that should have their own racks.

Unfortunately just feels tedious after several hours, it just becomes a box moving simulator, every morning spend half an hour to an hour to fill up all your storage. Storage room isn't nearly big enough after all of its upgrades. There needs to be a box boy to move stuff in from a delivery zone into storage. There needs to be a system on the computer to show how many boxes of what you need to fill your storage. Eventually add an ordering manager to make sure your storage stays full to a certain level (just add a slider 1-100 percent). There needs to be a slider to adjust all prices according to the market value. Right now I'm at the point where I'm just moving boxes then sitting around for an hour IRL waiting for the day to complete, then waiting another 20 min for the stocking to be done, then spending 20-40 min stocking the storage shelves again. rinse and repeat. there is no real change or measurable groth to this game. It's all the same thing day after day.
Put the cashier by the register by the door you take the one in the corner
Maybe try using only 1 shelf-row for cheap stuff so you have room for new items

Ive been tracking my store level, number of customers and gross profits as well as when i hire new employees, get expansions and unlock licenses. Yesterday I tried cutting my prices to just barely above cost and it did look like the bought more stuff but my gross went down from mid 2000s down to 17-18 thousand a day. So dropping price doesnt make the money come in lol. Im now trying to go 5-15 cents under the suggested retail and still not seeing much benifit. I think 5-15 cents over the suggested retail might be the sweet spot. But I think the growth of profits is tied to your store level as well as the licenses you have. Its not any big jumps but ive unlocked about 5 licenses and each time over the 3 or 4 days after the gross money does increase. During the title screen they do have a list of future plans in the upper right of the screen and it does look like they are implementing more stats and better ways to track it. Being able to track number of specific items sold daily would be really helpful. But im not doing inventory every day for this game lmao 😂
I got bored and almost quit the game as it was a restocking grind. I put everything to about 20% higher than the market price (rounded it to a dollar or 50 cents for easier checkout) and it still sells. You get the occasional 'too high for me' but the majority buy it. More cash, less restocking, makes the game more fun :)

KAGE......ok 2 things, remember last video I said I changed all prices to 20 cents Under market and had Major sales ?!?....
Well that stopped the next day and went back to normal....so I don't think anything makes any difference in what you do...
Finally....I'd pay for aDLC to get a guy to bring the items down and put them away !!!!!
There are more tipes of shelves that you can use, for impulse buying at the register for example or for vegetables, i'd love to see those in use! (The little kart looking ones)
