Doesn't yogurt have sugar? Dairy causes mucous too
@@apacurdairy causing mucus is apparently somewhat complicated. There's many reasons for it. One of the biggest can be lactose, which has been eaten in good healthy yogurt. But there's many reasons and it's not fully clear why. But some people get mucus from milk and not from a non sweetened yogurt.

I have been suffered from candida . Totally white tongue( irritating) , bloating , pain on joint , urinary infection , brain fog , anxiety for about 3-4 years . And later on experience i realize it was candida and then take antifungal , i am feeling well nowadays . Thanks for diet information

Is Candida gone for you ? Are you still on Candida diet after it’s gone ?
I’m on a 6 month dose of antibiotics for the second time for infections! Someone at work mentioned the Candida diet and I cannot believe this has never been mentioned to me before… I’ve had countless trips to doctors etc and I’m a nurse myself and never considered my diet. You’ve given me hope, thank you ❤
It’s amazing what diet can do! I wish you great health and wellness ❤️
Isn’t that crazy how allopathic medicine never addresses this. Unless you have thrush or vaginal yeast infection. I had a really bad case of gut candida in the 1980’s I was so sick from it. I felt like I was 80 vs 20. I developed allergies to everything. I found a MD allergist who happened to be considered a maverick in medicine and he dx me with candida. It took about 18 months for me to fully turn my health around with diet and supplementation. Dr. Wakeman was a godsend. And, people would make fun of him saying he was a quack. He was anything but and truly helped so many when mainstream medicine acted like it made up. Best wishes in your journey healing.
Who would've thought, what we eat affects our health!
antibiotics are what got you in this mess or made it worse never take them they kill all the good bacteria
Add some Tahebo tea
Hey Alison! Thank you SO MUCH for such a lovely, informative video. My mom is 44 years old and struggling with a Candida overgrowth as well. It really hurts me to see her dealing with the same issues you just talked about (especially the extreme fatigue and "brain fog you mentioned). It gives me so much hope to see a woman like you who has experienced these debilitating conditions and is now radiating the confidence and energy that you do. Obviously your diet and supplement strategies have p-a-i-d off; you not only look beautiful, but I can just sense you really feel beautiful on the inside and that is so inspirational to see. Especially for my mom who often confides in me about not feeling attractive or beautiful anymore she would be thrilled to see it's possible to overcome that. Lol she may not be able to become someone who, frankly, oozes sensuality and alluring beauty like you, but I am sure it will give her hope! Thanks again and please keep uploading videors, you're amazing attitude and energy is exhilirating to watch, even for a young man like me without the same experience as you and my mom! I am sure she too will become an instant fan ❤ Keep up the inspiration!
Thank you for your kind words. I wish your Mom health and wellness 💖
I suffered from 1 year. Just stop salt, sugar, non veg and oil for 2 weeks and did intermittent fasting.depended more on raw food and leafy vegetables. Candida growth stopped and reversed in 2 days itself.
Yours wasn’t systemic then. But good for you.
Salt ????????? 😢
Hi.. could you elaborate more
they might mean table salt. Sea salt is actually quite beneficial to the body.
@@3ain3osha6Salt in fast food and highly processed food is ridiculously high and not conducive to healing disease. So yes, avoid salty or high salt foods. A bit of seasoning in home cooked meals is not the enemy.

Hi, thank you for this video. I've struggled with eczema and gut issues for the past 10 years and I've never been able to fix it permanently, it always went away and came back a couple weeks later. Antibiotics mess you up more they actually make it worse
I have been doing a cut, for bodybuilding at the gym, so I have been doing low sugar/ healthy eating protocol, and it's basically the candida diet haha. I have been feeling really good so I guess that explains why.
That's great!! Keep it up!! :)
If you had a candida overgrowth and went on this diet, you’d have what’s called candida die off and it feels like death. But so glad you’re feeling amazing! 💕
@cnrblog2660. I mean....not exactly true. It's entirely individualistic. If you just changed you're diet and you had candida....then the candida would die off slowly and you might not really feel much. Die off symptoms come when you are severely infected, or when you kill too much off for the body to detox at once.
Strong garlic oil capsules and 5 drops of oil of oregano in water in the morning. One day, HUGE difference with bloating. 90% of my gas went away within 1 day. That's crazy how well it worked for me. I'm also going to star star anise oil at night, tonight.
Yes, Vegan too. Menopause and sometimes I don’t know where it all comes from
I love this video, so helpful, thank you!I'm struggling with candida, started a candida diet a year ago. Very strict at first then reintroduced things from your list. I was feeling much better but then recently as I m tryed gluten, dairy and sugar again the fatigue, brain fog, skin issues came back... so I'm starting another round. I'd love to get your book for inspiration, that's my biggest challenge.
I'm happy to hear that the diet worked for you in the past! yes, having recipes on hand is a great help. Maybe the reintroduction was too much too soon. Personally, even all these years later, I notice that I can only tolerate gluten and dairy only about once per week (if that). Good luck on your healing journey and keep us posted!

Oh I am so glad I found you. I have had brain fog since my 20s,I am 49 & have M.E..(7yrs) Dr Jacob Teitelbaum (M.E DR) Says the 1st thing you should be doing is the Candida Diet which lead me to Ann Boroch's book. I was so sad when I heard she had passed as she sounded like an angel & now I have found you! GPs in UK are not too helpful & just send you to talking therapy..& don't really believe in Candida or M.E. I am trying to do the diet but struggling, don't have any anti-fungals etc supplements. Listening to your story sounded like my own but I have other issues too. I am purchasing the food items etc but cannot find any clean candida supplements like Ann's in the UK. I feel like I have lost 20+ years of my life. But am encouraged to find this video. 🙏 🙏🙏
Hi Roree, I'm so happy to have you here too! Ann was amazing and really ahead of her time. It must be so frustrating for doctors to dismiss you. Did you happen to check out my supplement list (I have it linked below the video)? I wonder if you can find any of them in the UK. Otherwise, I'll do a little digging myself to see what i can find since I've worked with and get a lot of messages from others in the UK too.

I just started a candida diet three days ago and don't find it easy as you mentioned. Maybe you used to get clean anyway prior to this diet. I have a lot of skin issues, itchy dry scalp, bloated, gas, and a lot of weight gain and I'm hoping this works. I do have supplements coming tomorrow and working with someone who specializes in this. NO COFFEE? I'll have a migraine for days. I did hear that there are a few days/weeks where everything is worse and then it gets better. Because the candida is dying off.
Yes, it usually gets worse before it gets better, so hang in there. All those symptoms should clear up though. Give it a couple of months. And it’s great that you’re working with someone. As for the coffee, there are alternatives. Matcha should be ok and Yerba mate as well. Good luck on your journey and keep us posted!

My stomach issues supposing is the Bacteria just appear in America where I live because when I spend my vacations in south america o centro america countries those issues disappear and I eat everything no restrictions
This was really helpful. I’ve been struggling with Cándida for decades. 😩 i recently had a food intolerance test done, and was amazed at how many foods I had a severe reaction to. 😳 My diet has been very clean for months, but I am still so very tired with chronic insomnia, so I’ve decided to cut out the grains they said I could eat namely buckwheat and millet (I was eating millet porridge with coconut milk and spices whilst watching this video), and go with veggies, and meats etc for a while and see how I feel. I just wanted to ask you though, what did you have for breakfast whilst doing the Cándida cleanse? That’s always the hardest thing for me..... I look forward to hearing from you. And thank you for putting this vid out there.
I remember breakfast being a challenge for me when I started a candida diet too. I had gone from being vegan and eating lots of millet and oat porridge, etc. as well. I did eventually switch to more animal protein and veggie based breakfasts. Like eggs and spinach with avocado. Paleo wraps with nut butter or avocado, nut or seeded granola with plant milk, strawberry chia pudding. Stuff like that. Do you have my cookbook? I have quite a few recipes, breakfast ideas included, in that. I hope this helps and the best of luck on your health journey. :)

I've reduced my sugar untake, but find it difficult to stop all together. I dont have anything else, no soda, no wheat or dairy. I consume garlic in large amounts, but yoghurt is a no, no for me. I keep meaning to get probiotics, but always forget. Will try to make it a regular part of my lifestyle. Brain fog was a constant thing, but has lifted to some extent since reducing my sugar intake. Hair is limp, scraggyl and straggly. My tongue have started to pink up a bit also. But no yoghurt for me, that will make me very unwell with colds and flu.
Yes, stay away from yogurt. Better to get your probiotics from a capsule or liquid. Hopefully your hair will come back to life after a while. You may also want to check for parasites.
Do you mind explaining how does drinking red clover that you mentioned benefit this process? Thank you.
Red clover tea is thought to help cleanse the blood and liver. Basically helping the body detox.
Ok thanks for Shari g. It seems that one. May not be able to be on a vegan diet.
Agreed
Why beans in moderation? Dr Greger, (the food scientist, Dr) says we should eat them 3 x a day.
For a Candida diet they are too starchy and also can be hard to digest. Some people can tolerate in moderation from the beginning, others do better letting the gut heal before adding them back in. It just depends.
This is one helpful video.
Thank you. 😊
Would you mind telling me if decaf coffee is permissible in this diet ?
🙃
Hi! It's recommended to avoid coffee for the first 90 days of a candida cleanse, and in my opinion decaf is even worse than regular with all the chemicles that are used to strip the caffein. There are some great alternatives you can try, like yerba mate, matcha and something called teeccino . I'm so happy you found this video helpful! Maybe i'll do a whole video on coffee alternatives next time. :)
Ty great video ❤

Avoid Probiotic lactobacillus yogurt too???
Yes, it’s recommended to avoid dairy for the first 3 months, even probiotic based yogurt. So delicious makes a good quality coconut based yogurt that is unsweetened. That’s a better option for now.
Sooooo helpful ❤❤❤❤❤
i just wanted to ask why yogurts and kefir should be avoided because some videos i watch say i should have them and some say not to
Hi Hana, that's a great question. the protocol that I followed recommended avoiding fermented products for the first couple of months to allow the gut to heal. I found that this approach worked best for me. I'm not sure where you're at on your healing journey, but i'd suggest seeing how you feel when you eat them. I hope this helps. :)
I agree stay away.
Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience. Can you please tell me more about why beans and legumes are bad for candida? Many thanks!
It's not that they are necessarily bad, but since they are so starchy it's recommended to limit them to 1 - 2 times per week initially, or omit them completely at first. Also, some people have a hard time digesting them.
Ultimately, see what feels best for you. I hope this helps!
Hi, what antifungal did you used for your candida overgrowth, could share it, pls !
I used one that Ann Boroch made specifically, but that product is no longer available. I know many people who have had success using the Liver Medic lately. Here is a link to it:

I just started Kolorex Gut Care Candida Balance (Advanced Candida Care) 60ct. Based on Dr. William Davis book called Super Gut.
Can you please recommend probiotics for me
Mary Ruth Organics makes a great liquid probiotic. use code NATURALTASTYCHEF15 for 15% if you chose this brand. I also really like SEED Probiotics, they offer a monthly subscription and are good quality. I hope this helps!
Why are fermented vegetables to be added only after 90 days? I thought these are good bacteria to help kill the bad bacteria?
Miss your videos come back
Thank you for this! I had another baby end of December, but I’d like to start making videos again soon!
Was there ever fear of reintroducing foods back once you started feeling better ? And did this whole candida situation make you go on to look at food "good" and "bad"
This is such a good question! A restrictive diet such as this one can very easily lead to a "good" vs. "bad" view of food... and I see it happen a lot. A lot of my coaching sessions as of late are trying to shift people away from that very view. Personally, I don't recall feeling nervous to add foods back in. It was gradual and I generally still eat pretty close to a candida diet. And I don't see dairy or sugar as foods that should be eaten frequently.
Is this something that you are worried about?
@@NaturalTastyChef yeah this diet was somewhat leading me towards orthorexia.. i do see light at the end of the tunnel though while following the diet, like I'm almost cured .. but I feel like this can mentally scar someone.. like will I ever eat bread again, will I view refined carbs as a whole completely not worth eating.. I also look at some meat (pork) , & some vegetables as"bad" as well because they havent worked for me while on the diet, and my thinking is if I'm at my worse, and they caused me harm, why wouldnt they still be causing me harm while I'm healthy and I just don't noticed the effects as much . I agree never really been a fan of sugary foods, and dairy..but did u ever have a food in particular that you missed that falls into the "bad" category while being on the diet? I Also believe maybe most of my thinking stems from the fact I'm still on my way to recover. Once I'm completely healed I may think differently, this could just be the candida thinking for me idk .
@@johnnytsunami3558 I can totally relate to what you're saying. Being 10 years out now, i definitely eat food now that I didn't while on the candida diet. Sourdough bread comes to mind or the occasional slice of pizza or glass of wine. These things here and there do not bother me, but if i go overboard then i start noticing inflammation in my neck or eczema on my elbows. And i know that these foods aren't really idea for nourishment, but my body can tolerate them in moderation.
For now try to keep the focus on all of the wonderful foods you CAN eat and really appreciate that food. It's great that you are already conscious of this though, because i have worked with a lot of coaching clients over the years that come to me once orthorexia is in full force and often times they don't even see it.
I hope this helps!
I wonder the same

Is it ok to do the nanogreens even though it has fruit in it?
Candida supposedly increases sugar cravings. Any tips on how to fight the very thing that's making us sick?
Great question. Ann Boroch made a supplement called Gluco ABX which help stop sugar cravings, it worked too. Unfortunately, you can no longer get it, but i believe you can find other supplements out there that will help. Berbine is supposed to help. here is an example:

I wonder the same thing, I wish she would answer here. Same with cashews...
Sorry for the delayed response, i don't always see all the comments. Ann used to say that pistachios and cashews had the highest amounts of starch/mold of all the nuts. (peanuts not included)
@@NaturalTastyChef ahhh that makes sense! Thanks for the response, and it's OK I understand that! I personally have recently found that I can't tolerate any nuts at all, but that's just me so it might be worth considering for some people to eliminate them all for a period of time :-)
@@hcure4003 that’s a great point. I actually developed an allergy to all nuts as well. I can eat them now no problem.
@@NaturalTastyChef oh wow that's awesome! was it a full-on allergy? And it went away? 😮
I am a vegan. Can I eat lentils and beans? Otherwise not really sure where to get my proteins from?
Please can you tell me any powerful thing to be able breastfed my daughter
Is white rice ok for candida diet
No, it’s recommended to stick to brown rice in moderation. Some people find it’s better to avoid rice for the first month completely
Thank you
Thank you for this video! It is so helpful! Is it okay to have coffee on this diet?
Great question. It’s recommended to wait about 3 months before adding coffee in. There are some substitutes you could try like Chicory Root “coffee”…Teeccino is a great brand to check out. And if you do keep the coffee, just make sure it’s organic. I love Lifeboost Brand which I talk about in the video!
Thank you! 🙂 I watched the video a couple of times now for the reminders. I didn't catch everything the first time around.
What is your diet now? Did the yeast overgrowth come back? Did you have any fungal acne?
I never had fungal acne, and i feel like i've been pretty good since. My diet is still pretty clean, similar to a candida diet, but i do use sweeteners like coconut sugar, honey and dates in moderation. I also eat more fruit now too. And i'll occasionally eat gluten, but notice inflammation if i go overboard. Same with alcohol. I'll occasionally have a glass of wine, but don't tolerate it too well. It's been about 10 years for me.
@@NaturalTastyChef Thank You so much 😊
Pistachos and cashews are not on the list of foods to eat or avoid but you said no? Is this part of the list or a personal choice ?
It’s suggested to avoid both pistachios and cashews for the first 30 days 😉
I’m a tall man on a budget.
What is a affordable way for me to get enough calories on the candida diet?
Hi Hans, I'd focus on proteins such as eggs, beef, turkey and some chicken, with leafy green veggies, sweet potatoes, quinoa and nuts and seeds. just avoid peanuts, pistachios and cashews. Also, avocados and other good sources of fat. Tahini butter is great too. I hope this helps!
@@NaturalTastyChef Helpful. Thanks
@@NaturalTastyChefDid you mean to include avocados or exclude?
@@hallaskjerah include avocados! They are a good source of fat while on a Candida diet. That read confusing in my reply.
Amazing video! I would just like to ask are soy and soy products ok to consume?
It’s recommended to avoid soy, at least for the first 90 days or until you see some noticeable improvements. Most soy in the US is GMO and overconsumption is also thought to disrupt hormones. Hope this helps!
@@NaturalTastyChef
They put soy in so many things.
what about kefir and raw dairy? Where i live i can get very good quality of both and i feel like my gut likes it
Great question. So generally it’s recommended to avoid both for at least the first 90 days.
thankyou!
What's wrong with pistachios?
Check canxida candida recipes they have got great candida friendly recipes
Very helpful...did your husband go through the Candida journey with you?
Cause i was told my husband has to get clean as well or else it will be passed on.
Oh that’s interesting. I went through this before I met my husband.
Sounds similar to alkaline diet
Ive been dealing w/this for over 3yrs!! I did extensive research & figured it out on my own & now suddenly, Candida overgrownth is being mentioned everywhere! I fast on a reg basis, but i did a 2 day water fast & i STILL didn't get rid of it. Heres my ques...how do you know when it's going away? I'll think its getting better & the next morning i wake up w/my tongue solid white again & feeling like crap! What are symptoms of Candida leaving your body? This us so diff to get rid of!!
It's definitely a process, for me i started feeling improvement after starting Ann's plan in the first 30 days, and much better after 90 days, but it wasn't until a good year later that i started to feel like myself again.
Stick to it. :)
