      Nothing wrong with respect. Not that Josh was disrespecting the car at all.
      Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙂

      Bruv it ain't about flat out all the time it's about that mad 5-10 min squirt down a B-rd every now & then & putting her back in garage 4 later on so grandad it all day long then treat her like a slag 4 5-10 min, "Coz she's worth it" (swear I've herd that b4 😎) peace and respect Sid

    Unlucky, that car was one of my favourites at ford fair.
    On my way home I shredded my diff, gearbox and a driveshaft.
    Just want to say thanks to BD Performance for an absolutely rapid turnaround getting it back on the road with an Mfactory diff too!

    I just had a Gearbox done on my ST225. Upgraded to an RS clutch and flywheel while I was at it. Plus a passenger side drive shaft. Matt Lewis done mine as it's closer. Had to limp it up this place as I only had 3 gears to use. Feels better now though, they did a great job. Been bedding it in the last few weeks. Cost me some money but was necessary. These things happen. Hopefully see you lot at National day if you're going. Take it easy ✌🏼

    A nice looking ST, I'm trying to work out how I should go ultimate handling route and a safe 300'ish bhp. I just feel that'll be a really nice B road basher ?

    is it true most issues from these cars come from pushing above 400bhp? seems to be the sweet spot from what I read

    • @BDPerformanceWrexham
      @BDPerformanceWrexham  3 роки тому

      Not at all, it’s not that simple in all honesty.
      We have plenty of cars running over 500bhp without issue. It just depends how you take care of the car, what mods you run and how you maintain or use the vehicle.
      When you use a car on track, in anger, these things can happen without warning. It happens to the best of us.

    Hello, so if you are taking your car out on track would it be best for the car to be looked at by you or any garage in preparation for the track day?

    • @BDPerformanceWrexham

      Dave Mac always comes in for a pre track health check, Josh did too but you can’t predict a clutch failure quite so easily on the ramp.
      In fairness Josh was late for his so it was a rush, and mainly to raise his ride height on the rear. But we did rectify a few other bits before he went on.
      Just dumb luck really, if we had smoke tested it we would have found the hole instantly in the Boost Pipes; but probably not had time to resolve. Six of one, half a dozen of the other really the night before.
      Thanks for the appropriate comment and hopefully this reminds others to get theirs pre checked!

    So how much was this car running power wise?

    • @BDPerformanceWrexham
      @BDPerformanceWrexham  3 роки тому +1

      At a reasonable guess… Not a whole hell of a lot with a decent size hole in the metal Boost pipe and another on the cold side.
      Not sure how long the damage had been there but the turbo and setup is capable of circa 600-650bhp on the GT3582 setup that’s fitted.
      Once we have the parts fitted and the repairs carried out, hopefully we will get her on the Hub Dyno for some setting up!
      Thanks for watching and for the comment/question. We really do appreciate the support 🙏

    So do we not think the clutch that just came out can’t actually cope with the power an the slipping is actually what’s caused it to over heat??

    • @BDPerformanceWrexham
      @BDPerformanceWrexham  3 роки тому +1

      Looking at it, and from experience, we would say it’s not a clutch issue. It’s user error on this occasion. Danny had a similar setup in his and managed 30k miles of hard driving!
      The Helix setup is more than capable but deigned for track use in the paddle version. That’s not to say it cannot be used on the road; but there’s a way to use this setup… if that makes sense

    • @rickrs2300
      @rickrs2300 3 роки тому

      Yes thank you that makes a lot of sense, so In all essence ideally you need a track clutch like you would track tyres! If you track a car that is set up for road, or use a car that is set up for track on road you are going to have to replace any way so should ideally factor this cost in before hand. Along with enough to replace your pads an discs too 🤦‍♂️
