    Thank you! With my AR collection my SKS fell to the wayside. Twenty years ago I changed the beautiful stock for a Tapco fiberglass stock. A few day ago I ran across the original stock but it’s been awhile so I’m pleased these videos were made so precisely. She is back to her original combat readiness. So happy I kept all the original parts including the bayonet. Bought her a Dunham’s for I believe $120 back in the day. Great investment! Waiting on some non-corrosive Ammo so I can take this baby to the range. Thanks again for helping an old dog remember some tricks!

      I also just got a Yugo! Maybe you could help me. I've been dry firing it, and I noticed that my trigger doesn't make an audible or tactile reset click. It functions normally, but I just don't have any positive reset click. Is that normal for a Yugo? Also, I did a take down, and now I can't re-seat the mag. What's the secret trick? Thanks!

    • @rtookey
      @rtookey 3 роки тому +1

      @@DonyaLane You'll see a retainer location on the front side, that will grab the front end of the mag, then push down. Firing pin wont make a audible reset like a bolt action rifle.

    • @DonyaLane
      @DonyaLane 3 роки тому

      @@rtookey , thanks for the reply! Since I posted that comment, I figured out how to re-seat the mag. I cruised all the GunTubers, until I found someone who removed the stock but left the mag attached. I paused the video to get a good look at how it was seated. Yes, there's a ridge in there where the front of the mag slips under. My problem had been that I didn't perceive that ridge as something that had enough space under it. So, I'm all good 2 go now! And thank you for clarifying about the trigger reset!

    To lock the trigger assembly, the safety better be ON or else no way & @0:30 on the video, I have to push down and forward otherwise there is interference down below where I can't see it and it will not go down. I had to do the trigger locking w/o the stock to see what is going on. Thank you for your 4 videos. • @spartanpatriot8528

      If you have a Yugo I would recommend that just because to my understanding the Yugoslav models don’t have a chrome lined bore. The Russian and Chinese models do which helps but I’d still recommend cleaning it after using corrosive ammo. Regular ammo you should be ok for a couple trips as long as the firearm is properly lubricated.

    The firing pin can erroneously be inserted BACKWARDS! It fits that way unimpeded. If you do that the firing pin will be in a locked position always protruding from the bolt. If assembled this way, then fired with more than one round loaded, you may well get a second round to fie, and a third, etc. as long as you are pressing/holding the trigger back.
