As a Latter Day Saint, this is my absolute favorite story in the Book of Mormon. If more of our leaders were like King Benjamin, the world would be so much holier.
It took me 40 years to finally realize that Heavenly Father and Christ loves each one of us no matter what. I battled with myself for years thinking that he couldn't have loved me to much because of my flaws and weaknesses. I realized that in fact he loves me more and my flaws can not stop his love for any one.
I was not either , until I read and prayed about this Book of Mormon . I gained a testimony through prayer and was taught by those guys in white shirts ! Still going strong 33 years later !

I could feel the love of the Savior through kings Benjamin speech , it touched my spirit and gave me the feeling of being a better person and to do my very best to be called a daughter of God.
I feel I had similar feelings and desires as the people of King Benjamin's day as they listened to his words. I had a desire to pray when it was depicted that they prayed. I had a desire to change and to have faith in Christ. I had a desire to keep the commandments more exactly in my life. How grateful I am for these videos. Very grateful indeed.
It wasn't just a prayer. They were experiencing a spiritual change within their mind and their hearts. Their whole beings where elevated to a higher level. Hence he proceeded to tell them that they have become the Spiritual children of Christ.
This episode was marvelous. When I was a teen, many years ago, it was reading the words of King Benjamin that the Spirit confirmed to me that the Book of Mormon was true. My testimony has only grown since then. While I watched this depiction of King Benjamin speaking to his people the Spirit once again witnessed to me the truthfulness of the gospel. I don't know when I have e ever looked forward to conference as I am this time. I have been fighting cancer a year now, with success to this point. Only because the Savior and our beloved Prophets presence I have felt the entire time. I move from my home in LA to my daughters in Arkansas and she's inactive member so my study at home is alone, I feel that this conference will touch her and her family. At least that's my prayer . I feel the Saviros love so much and I know our prophet is right there to.. these videos are so special, i can't watch any with out becoming emotional and this one really did it.

Here's how to cure cancer. Don't let the doctors scare you into more chemotherapy or radiation. This is what to do: Organic vegetables (juiced in the morning - about 60 ounces with about 8 oz. drunk every 1 or 2 hours along will stop most cancers in their tracks. Some of the best veggies/fruits are broccoli, beets, kale, celery, ginger root, carrots, green apple, lemon (juiced with the skin on), spinach, leeks, garlic and onions are great! I eat garlic separately…you can cut up a clove and chew on it fast and then chase it down with water. Onion can be put in a salad. I personally don’t care for onion or garlic in my vegetable juice. These are all anti-angiogenic foods which means they prevent new cancer feeding blood vessels from forming. By consuming loads of these vegetables (easiest via juicing) angiogenesis is prevented and the cancer starves. Organic berries and other fruits are great too! A table spoon of powered turmeric in a glass of water does wonders! A salad 2 x per day with lots of good stuff is amazing too, but no salad dressings. No sugar, no artificial flavorings/colors, no processed food whatsoever. NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS, including milk, cheese, ice cream, meat, etc. No fried foods at all!! Oil that reaches high heat feeds cancer! No flour/wheat products except for Einkorn flour purchased online via Jovial foods (it is the only wheat that is not hybridized). No corn or corn products, no peanuts or mushrooms. Drink good water throughout the day, just not too much at once which can cause water poisoning. Exercise is extremely important as is drinking cayenne pepper capsules daily. Be careful of any products containing soy, real all labels. They are even putting it in supplements. Read labels of supplements and try to not purchase a bottle if it contains gelatin. Green coffee enemas especially when first diagnosed with cancer helps the liver quickly jumpstart the detoxifying process. Calcium, iron and copper feed cancer as well as anything containing yeast. Wild yeast or nutritional yeast is fine. Do not eat any products containing sugar. Get sweetness from organic fruits!
As members of the Church I feel we spend too much time with the book of Mormon. There are many great mysteries in the Bible and the 0ther three works can help us understand them if we are diligent with a soft heart.

King Benjamin is definitely one of my heroes! My favorite scripture comes from his address, namely in Mosiah 2 where he tells the people he has labored right along side them, and reminds them that the service we render serves God. He also reminds them God gives the their daily breathe, gives them everything, and all He asks is that they keep His commandments. And the SECOND they keep the commandments, He doth IMMEDIATELY bless then (and I testify that to be a true thing!!), so of what does anyone have to boast? I LOVE the king's humility and sincerity. I LOVE the rendition here, that the people immediately kneel and repent. Oh, to be THERE at the time this address was given! Can you imagine the transformation in your SOUL???? This is the closest any of us will come to that event. Thank you for this video!!

I actually teared up a little at that part. The scene cuts to King Benjamin actually working alongside his son, then cuts back to him (with that same son in the background) saying the same in his sermon. King Benjamin talks the talk and walks the walk! Great example!
We should also try to realise that the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is the servant of all. The only way this can happen is when we become more like Jesus, having his spiritual power. When we are less like Jesus then we can only serve fewer people. It will help you to understand what it means to be like Jesus (full of grace and truth) if you prayerfully consider Hebrews 4:12 and David: bear lion and Goliath. God cannot be all-loving if he does not have full self control. The main attribute of his self-control is that he is extremely precise (4:12). In the same way, we need full self-control to be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. We should also try to realize that God is a spirit John 4:24 and Zechariah 4, God is neither male nor female, but in his own wisdom has decided to present himself as male down the millenniums.
My favorite so far! It helps me realize we're not so different than the people back then. I have been feeling disappointed about General Conference having to be broadcast only this Spring, because of the pandemic, but then I started thinking about the people in the back during King Benjamin's address. They must have been so glad for the technology of writing and the efforts of the runners and readers. I too, am blessed by the technology and efforts that will bring me the addresses of the Prophets this Spring. And, most importantly, what will they testify of? The same loving sacrifice of our dear Savior. They'll help us commit to take His name and live His law. What a treasure to have the Book of Mormon, these videos, and General Conference where we hear the Prophets testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ!
It's bittersweet to see the people gather and learn from their leader. How grateful I am that we can gather and learn with the use of technology when we are unable to do so physically. There's also such a strong example in contrasting this large gathering with the family scripture study scene. What a great reminder as we head more towards home-centered church.

@Raymond Ellis I personally can't relate but hopefully it brings some comfort to hear that many of Lehis and Nephis powerful experiences happened while they were alone, or in ways that others simply couldn't participate in. Lehis vision, and Nephi being commanded to go up into the mountain in order to be guided to ore to build their ship. It has always been meaningful to me to liken that experience to myself: The Lord will guide me to the ore I need, to make the tools I need, to build the ship that I need to make the journey to my promised land. i.e. to become the person the Lord needs to be. Please also note from this video that King Mosiah said (something along the lines of) "your hearts are change because of the covenant which ye have made". Even if you are not married, or feeling like you have many prospects you can prepare to make those covenants now. I know that you will not always be alone. Hold on thy way and trust in the Lord. As you climb the mountain of the Lord you will be ever more prepared for a wonderful eternal family. Your in my prayers.

I love the portrayal of this! At first when King Benjamin said "Amen", I thought, what about the people repenting and taking on the name of Christ? But then I realized that they would have needed time right after hearing from his address to read All his words and then come to the decision to repent. Awesome job! I also loved the flashbacks Mosiah had when he was growing up with his Family, so you knew that he had been brought up knowing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the scriptures and that is why King Benjamin could pass down the Sacred records to Mosiah. I also loved having the Queen (Mosiah's Mom) also reading and teaching from the scriptures. Although it's not mentioned directly from the Book of Mormon, I'm sure Mosiah had a good Mother, not just a good Father.
We are very special and blessed that we have the book of mormon to help and guide us.And when we are in the service of our fellow beings we are in the service of our god.
This videos are just wonderful teaching aids, My son who turns (5) today like watching no any order video's expect the Book of Mormon video as soon as there is light and he is at home, he will say put Nephi and am sure he is also going to enjoy this, most especiaally come to know that when he is in the serve of his brothers and sister and others, he is only in the service of God.
I am impressed with how entertaining and varied they were able to make this sermon! It easily could have been literally just a camera on Benjamin, but they cut to a lot of scenes that I'll remember when I'm reading these chapters again.

I have always enjoyed reading Mosiah. King Benjamin's Talk to his people is so powerful. I find in it peace and comfort when I remember to apply all he talked about in todays times. :) My Heart is so over whelmed that some days i can't think straight about anything else but his worlds, and what I can/need to do for not only myself but those around me.
I love it! It brought the story to life in a way that just seeing it my mind's eye didn't. I especially liked the flashbacks where King Benjamin was teaching his family. Try my post where I explain we need a soft heart to understand the meaning of the water-to-wine miracle. We need the same to ask God to reveal the meaning of Zechariah 4 to us. Not all mysteries are in the other three standard works. Articles of Faith 9 says we believe God will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
In humility I'm very grateful that in this modern days. We still have Prophets who counseled us, guide us. Under the direction of our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father. So we can be good sons and good daughters.
God bless the good people who are fortunate enough to find inspiration from stories of Jesus Christ and wish to emulate him in spirit. All true Christians have a path to walk, but they are blessed no matter what they call themselves and who they congregate with. Catholic, Protestant, Mormon etc. It’s all worth it, but never take a conversation for granted. Pain and focus creates internal glory.
In the Book of Mormon Alma Chapter 7 verses 10-14 are my favorite scriptures because: they state how precious of a woman Mary was to give birth to our Savior Jesus Christ; that He suffered pains, afflictions, temptations, sicknesses TO KNOW HOW TO SUCCOR US IN OURS and our sins TO BLOT THEM OUT AND CLEANSE US through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance. This is vital to know who to turn to and trust in during suffering.

I struggle to concentrate and retain information when reading , so audio books and videos like these are perfect for me. I called myself spiritual but an atheist for many years, until covid first got reported from China. I had a message, many messages at the time, that i could only explain as downloads. I know now to be God, and that was the start of my search for the truth. What a journey it has been too. God saved us once again, and now i realize how many times He truly has saved me.🙏🏻 I am watching and listening to everything biblical as i possibly can, mow after walking with Jesus on my quest for truth, so thank you for these beautiful videos. 🙏🏻

It wasn't just a speech as you put it. You can go and listen to someone speak like Nelson and feel good about his words. What Benjamin did for his people was more than just a "speech" it brought a mighty change within the people. They grow spiritually to a higher level of consciousness. They stop being just ordinary and as Benjamin put it became the son and daughters of Christ. That right there is not just not a speech. It's more than that. The Book of Mormon is not just pretty is more. It has the power to change lives literally at a spiritual level.
I have been very I'll for the last 5 years. Not been able too go too church too pure exhaustion. So that would be in active. Never have I had a home teacher over the last 5 years or any contact. So I watch these videos until such time. Technology is great. The world is busy. Great video

i am watching from Asia, i felt the Spirit. I was moved by King Benjamin's testimoy of Jesus Christ and God's love to all his children.

God makes lemonade from lemons, so I have hope that your adversity will be used for the good that you deserve.
Here's how to cure cancer. Don't let the doctors scare you into more chemotherapy or radiation. This is what to do: Organic vegetables (juiced in the morning - about 60 ounces with about 8 oz. drunk every 1 or 2 hours along will stop most cancers in their tracks. Some of the best veggies/fruits are broccoli, beets, kale, celery, ginger root, carrots, green apple, lemon (juiced with the skin on), spinach, leeks, garlic and onions are great! I eat garlic separately…you can cut up a clove and chew on it fast and then chase it down with water. Onion can be put in a salad. I personally don’t care for onion or garlic in my vegetable juice. These are all anti-angiogenic foods which means they prevent new cancer feeding blood vessels from forming. By consuming loads of these vegetables (easiest via juicing) angiogenesis is prevented and the cancer starves. Organic berries and other fruits are great too!
A table spoon of powered turmeric in a glass of water does wonders! A salad 2 x per day with lots of good stuff is amazing too, but no salad dressings. No sugar, no artificial flavorings/colors, no processed food whatsoever. NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS, including milk, cheese, ice cream, meat, etc. No fried foods at all!! Oil that reaches high heat feeds cancer! No flour/wheat products except for Einkorn flour purchased online via Jovial foods (it is the only wheat that is not hybridized). No corn or corn products, no peanuts or mushrooms.
Drink good water throughout the day, just not too much at once which can cause water poisoning. Exercise is extremely important as is drinking cayenne pepper capsules daily. Be careful of any products containing soy, real all labels. They are even putting it in supplements. Read labels of supplements and try to not purchase a bottle if it contains gelatin.
Green coffee enemas especially when first diagnosed with cancer helps the liver quickly jumpstart the detoxifying process.
Calcium, iron and copper feed cancer as well as anything containing yeast. Wild yeast or nutritional yeast is fine. Do not eat any products containing sugar. Get sweetness from organic fruits!

King Benjamin is definitely one of my heroes! My favorite scripture comes from his address, namely in Mosiah 2 where he tells the people he has labored right along side them, and reminds them that the service we render serves God. He also reminds them God gives the their daily breathe, gives them everything, and all He asks is that they keep His commandments. And the SECOND they keep the commandments, He doth IMMEDIATELY bless then (and I testify that to be a true thing!!), so of what does anyone have to boast? I LOVE the king's humility and sincerity. I LOVE the rendition here, that the people immediately kneel and repent. Oh, to be THERE at the time this address was given! Can you imagine the transformation in your SOUL???? This is the closest any of us will come to that event. Thank you for this video!!

King Benjamin Truly Gave a Moving and Inspiring Speech, with Such Love Towards his People.
I actually teared up a little at that part. The scene cuts to King Benjamin actually working alongside his son, then cuts back to him (with that same son in the background) saying the same in his sermon. King Benjamin talks the talk and walks the walk! Great example!
We should also try to realise that the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is the servant of all. The only way this can happen is when we become more like Jesus, having his spiritual power. When we are less like Jesus then we can only serve fewer people. It will help you to understand what it means to be like Jesus (full of grace and truth) if you prayerfully consider Hebrews 4:12 and David: bear lion and Goliath. God cannot be all-loving if he does not have full self control. The main attribute of his self-control is that he is extremely precise (4:12). In the same way, we need full self-control to be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. We should also try to realize that God is a spirit John 4:24 and Zechariah 4, God is neither male nor female, but in his own wisdom has decided to present himself as male down the millenniums.

I have been feeling disappointed about General Conference having to be broadcast only this Spring, because of the pandemic, but then I started thinking about the people in the back during King Benjamin's address. They must have been so glad for the technology of writing and the efforts of the runners and readers. I too, am blessed by the technology and efforts that will bring me the addresses of the Prophets this Spring.
And, most importantly, what will they testify of? The same loving sacrifice of our dear Savior. They'll help us commit to take His name and live His law. What a treasure to have the Book of Mormon, these videos, and General Conference where we hear the Prophets testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ!
It's bittersweet to see the people gather and learn from their leader. How grateful I am that we can gather and learn with the use of technology when we are unable to do so physically. There's also such a strong example in contrasting this large gathering with the family scripture study scene. What a great reminder as we head more towards home-centered church.
I am alone and so I think home-centred church is really only for married people. See my post about the water-to-wine miracle and pray for me.
Raymond Ellis, many years ago I learn that it is not such thing as lonely people, because “you & your Heavenly Father are a Family” too, so read, learn, sing & express your love & gratitude to your Father in heaven because while you’re probably alone just physically, for sure you’re surrounded for angels from beyond the veil, & the Lord itself is with you. @Raymond Ellis I personally can't relate but hopefully it brings some comfort to hear that many of Lehis and Nephis powerful experiences happened while they were alone, or in ways that others simply couldn't participate in. Lehis vision, and Nephi being commanded to go up into the mountain in order to be guided to ore to build their ship. It has always been meaningful to me to liken that experience to myself: The Lord will guide me to the ore I need, to make the tools I need, to build the ship that I need to make the journey to my promised land. i.e. to become the person the Lord needs to be.
Please also note from this video that King Mosiah said (something along the lines of) "your hearts are change because of the covenant which ye have made". Even if you are not married, or feeling like you have many prospects you can prepare to make those covenants now.
I know that you will not always be alone. Hold on thy way and trust in the Lord. As you climb the mountain of the Lord you will be ever more prepared for a wonderful eternal family. Your in my prayers.

I love the portrayal of this! At first when King Benjamin said "Amen", I thought, what about the people repenting and taking on the name of Christ? But then I realized that they would have needed time right after hearing from his address to read All his words and then come to the decision to repent. Awesome job!
I also loved the flashbacks Mosiah had when he was growing up with his Family, so you knew that he had been brought up knowing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the scriptures and that is why King Benjamin could pass down the Sacred records to Mosiah. I also loved having the Queen (Mosiah's Mom) also reading and teaching from the scriptures. Although it's not mentioned directly from the Book of Mormon, I'm sure Mosiah had a good Mother, not just a good Father.

I am impressed with how entertaining and varied they were able to make this sermon! It easily could have been literally just a camera on Benjamin, but they cut to a lot of scenes that I'll remember when I'm reading these chapters again.

I have always enjoyed reading Mosiah. King Benjamin's Talk to his people is so powerful. I find in it peace and comfort when I remember to apply all he talked about in todays times. :) My Heart is so over whelmed that some days i can't think straight about anything else but his worlds, and what I can/need to do for not only myself but those around me.
Mosiah 4:9 is my favorite scripture.
I love it! It brought the story to life in a way that just seeing it my mind's eye didn't. I especially liked the flashbacks where King Benjamin was teaching his family. And the look on older Mosiah's face, showing just how proud he was of his father nearly brought me to tears. Thank you for making this! (And all of the other videos, too)
Try my post where I explain we need a soft heart to understand the meaning of the water-to-wine miracle. We need the same to ask God to reveal the meaning of Zechariah 4 to us. Not all mysteries are in the other three standard works. Articles of Faith 9 says we believe God will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

In humility I'm very grateful that in this modern days. We still have Prophets who counseled us, guide us. Under the direction of our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father. So we can be good sons and good daughters.
The sound of everybody praying is powerful.
God bless the good people who are fortunate enough to find inspiration from stories of Jesus Christ and wish to emulate him in spirit. All true Christians have a path to walk, but they are blessed no matter what they call themselves and who they congregate with. Catholic, Protestant, Mormon etc. It’s all worth it, but never take a conversation for granted. Pain and focus creates internal glory.
In the Book of Mormon Alma Chapter 7 verses 10-14 are my favorite scriptures because: they state how precious of a woman Mary was to give birth to our Savior Jesus Christ; that He suffered pains, afflictions, temptations, sicknesses TO KNOW HOW TO SUCCOR US IN OURS and our sins TO BLOT THEM OUT AND CLEANSE US through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance. This is vital to know who to turn to and trust in during suffering.

I struggle to concentrate and retain information when reading , so audio books and videos like these are perfect for me. I called myself spiritual but an atheist for many years, until covid first got reported from China. I had a message, many messages at the time, that i could only explain as downloads. I know now to be God, and that was the start of my search for the truth. What a journey it has been too. God saved us once again, and now i realize how many times He truly has saved me.🙏🏻 I am watching and listening to everything biblical as i possibly can, mow after walking with Jesus on my quest for truth, so thank you for these beautiful videos. 🙏🏻

It wasn't just a speech as you put it. You can go and listen to someone speak like Nelson and feel good about his words. What Benjamin did for his people was more than just a "speech" it brought a mighty change within the people. They grow spiritually to a higher level of consciousness. They stop being just ordinary and as Benjamin put it became the son and daughters of Christ. That right there is not just not a speech. It's more than that. The Book of Mormon is not just pretty is more. It has the power to change lives literally at a spiritual level.

It is a humble reminder of how much God, our Heavenly Father loves each individual. He has sent prophets to speak to us and scriptures to read that we may hear His voice and remember His love.
