    Paul, clean, great work as always.
    Let me suggest an augmentation of not only this app, other similar tools could benefit from such an add-on too:
    If the user could choose to add ready-to-use patterns like trills, impact trills, appoggiatura(e) (had to look up the english term myself), drag and grace notes, etc. instead of a simple single note. Additionally to the already mentioned triplets higher orders of multiplets like quintuplets and higher would be interesting for non-mainstream songs and dances and generally for uses in jazz. .
    My unfocussed vision is a library of such elements that would make a nice add-on module. Ah well, and additionally to the random generator a swing function (parametric of course, all settable through auv ;) )

    • @PaultheMusicMan
      @PaultheMusicMan  2 роки тому

      Yes, there is plenty of scope to take this app in that direction in the future. I have plans of my own too on how I want to take this forward with controller automation and such which kind of complicates matters but I will definately considering your suggestions.

    • @ulrichkliegis4138
      @ulrichkliegis4138 2 роки тому

      @@PaultheMusicMan Thanks, Paul. Controller automation is just a subset of controller control, which could imply sources from outside too, as far as the JWST can look. One of my visions is image guided sound generation. ... :)

    I really love that you included an auto chord detector system and latching system! This is going to be huge for people that love to have auto accompanying. Can one devote on of the lanes to create a Bass note only instead of 3 notes, especially to dedicate it to playing the Bass note? In other words dedicate that lane to have the sequencer send a latched Bass note to a Bass synth in IOS and have it change key as on plays an attached external midi keyboard or even the onboard keyboard. Is this a possibility?

    • @PaultheMusicMan
      @PaultheMusicMan  2 роки тому +1

      You have complete control of routing each band to specific MIDI port and channel. The incoming MIDI notes force each band to the same chord, so they drive instruments based on what you play.

    Hello Paul, great video and I’m going to buy one. Only a couple of questions. Are u able to send midi from this app over usb to say a Analog rytm?

    • @PaultheMusicMan
      @PaultheMusicMan  9 місяців тому

      It totally depends on the hardware and host you are using. If the drum machine is providing the system with with MIDI ports that show up under say AUM then yes. As this is an AUv3 plugin it depends mainly on the host application.

  • @Ponk_80
    @Ponk_80 2 роки тому +1

    It sounds pretty nice, but all those knobs showing all at once, makes it really confusing, and less intuitive to figure out, don’t get me wrong I love the ability to tweak, but it would make a bit more sense to look at if the knobs were put into a more simple overlook. So it doesn’t become too confusing, this for me has also always been a problem with synthesizers, all those buttons and knobs, just make me give up, especially if I cant hear what the knob does to the sound.

    • @PaultheMusicMan
      @PaultheMusicMan  2 роки тому

      If you take a closer look you will see that there are 4 sets of identical controls so it is not as confusing as it first looks, plus the randomization means you never even need to touch them anyway (unless you want too).

    • @Ponk_80
      @Ponk_80 2 роки тому

      @@PaultheMusicMan I don’t know, it still looks really confusing to me, but yeah is probably something subjective, how we as humans see things in different ways.
      I know that I have created things in the past that seemed really logical and easy to understand for me, but when others looked at it, they didn’t see the same logic as I did, we i different individuals, and that is what makes life so interesting in my own opinion.

    • @PaultheMusicMan
      @PaultheMusicMan  Рік тому

      Please watch my tutorial videos. Euclidean is a MIDI generator, where you route the output to other sound sources / synths. It doesn't generate sound on it's own, think of it as a MIDI editor which streams data to an instrument. Sadly GarageBand cannot load AUv3 MIDI plugins, but most other hosts such as AUM and Cubasis can.

I go into detail on how to load Euclidean into AUM, but every DAW is different so I am unable to explain on a per app basis, but are you sure your DAW supports MIDI plugins?
