    I started my lifestyle change on Monday 1/5/15 after a few failed "diets"... I'm 5'10", large build and weighed 307.5 on my first day... today on 1/10/15 I weighed myself and i've lost 7.5 lbs in just 6 days so i'm at 300lbs as we speak. I've cut out fast food, all junk food and most unhealthy meats. I've been eating salads, vegetables, fruits, grains, natural nuts, fat free dairy, and lean meats. I've kept my calorie intake between 1250 to 1500 a day since I'm not working out at all. I work from a computer, so i'm sitting down about 8-10 hours a day and then sleep (obviously). I was reading that eating under 2000 calories is unhealthy for men since it supposedly slows down our metabolism and makes us lose bone and/or muscle mass. So is eating under 1500 calories "unhealthy" for me?

    Girl, it's crazy how similar our tastes are! Our taste buds must be related or something haha Loved the video! I need to film what I eat in a day soon.

    Breakfast: raw oatmeal, chia and flax seeds, all mixed in hot water (took me one week to get used to it)
    Lunch: cup of mixed pea and lentil soup with chopped tomatoes, piece of fish, and water
    Snack: mixed raisins and peanuts
    Dinner: same as lunch
    snack: banana glass of whole milk (I don't want to waste it but I will get on skim milk :-)
    Getting used to this took me about a week. I went through horrible food withdrawals, headaches, moodiness, weakness. I'm still working on it. I have to start exercising. I couldn't workout because I was feeling way to down and weak but I now my withdrawal symptoms are gone! My goal is to lose 50 lbs in 3 months. I will be working out 1 hour a day from now!

    Thanks for the great video. I make a similar pesto using spinach, cilantro, pistachios, a little garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper. It's great on pasta, grilled veggies, fish, grilled sandwiches - pretty much everything! I would love to see your chicken soup recipe.

    This was Great. I think alot of people are afraid to eat healthy, fearing they'll lose all the foods they love, but the fact is all the unhealthy foods have an alternative heathy side lol. Today I ate a avacado slices on wheat bread, a banana with pb & black berries on spinach (: lol again love this & I'll be trying all those.

    Every thing looks really good but do you eat enough protein? Because I didn't see to much in this video, but it all looks very good. Do you have any recipes?

      Funny you should say that since Im actually trying to increase my protein/iron intake. There is chicken in the soup but overall Im trying to eat more protein rich foods. And yes I have lots of recipes :) Feel free to browse through my videos and check them out!

      That's great to hear, yes just pls remember you need your other foods to get enough energy as well as vitamins. Enless you are fasting then that be totally different story. :)

      Thank you so much! To be honest this was a smaller meal kind of day. I was editing a lot so I wasn't burning a lot of calories therefore I wasn't too hungry. On days where I workout and are running around I will have a larger breakfast and maybe a KIND bar :)

    This video seems incredibly irresponsible. There is NO WAY that you've gotten 1800-2000 calories. I put these into MyFitnessPal and even selecting some of the more calorific options for each item, this didn't even amount to 1500 calories. If you're even moderately active this is a starvation diet. Ridiculous!

    I typically eat leftovers from dinner for lunch the next day. Im GF as well. I incorporate some kind of protein with my snacks to help fill me up.

      Having your meals planned/ prepared it key to eating healthy foods. I'm the same way if I don't make sure to bring a banana and maybe some nuts with me while shopping or out then I'm more likely to grab something on impulse.

      Thanks! I don't like to restrict myself to any sort or "diet." I eat a lot of healthy whole foods and I believe that fruit (carbs) gives me the energy I need to workout and keep me going throughout the day. I don't drink any caffeinated beverages so I get all my energy from food :)

      I havent filmed it yet its getting hotter here in Toronto so I've been eating colder things like salads and wraps but I will still try and film the soup recipe :)

      Thanks Jimena :) I'm not vegan but I do eat a mostly plant based diet. I eat small amounts of meat here and there such as this chicken soup! xo
