    Everyone saying go Vegan.... lol, leave her alone. Meat is good for you, despite anything you read. You could find an article online 'scientifically proven' disputing anything. People 100's of years ago ate meat to keep themselves alive. It's full of proteins and help you gain muscle. (so do beans, and what not, but meat plays a very big role as well.) Anyone can choose to eat how they please, and everyone's body works differently, eating Vegan isn't for everybody. Give it a rest you guys. Becca has found a type of eating that works wonderful for her, and you should accept that and be happy that she is healthy and feels great.

    Angry vegans...this video can still be of use to you, really. Just get ideas from it and change whatever you want. There's absolutely no need to be rude about it.

    ughhhh the people on here telling you to go vegan or veg give it a rest! This video is great and you gained a subby. Thank you for sharing. This is a realistic look into clean eating, it's not "perfection" by some ultra veggie vegan standards, etc, but it is attainable. Thank you, and I look forward to more!!

    All this vegan/vegetarian "hatred". If meat isn't your cup of tea, that is perfectly fine! But please, do not try to push your beliefs of how a diet or meal plan onto someone else who didn't ask for it. This goes for UA-camrs like Freelee! I love Freelee and did try her vegan diet once and I didn't like it, so I switched back to my regular diet. I don't eat fast food 24/7, and I eat clean! You don't need a plant-based diet to be healthy! Look in the mirror! Smile! What do you see? Your pointy canine teeth near the corners of your mouth! Canine teeth means carnivore or omnivore! Meat eater and meat and plant eater. Say what you will but the standard diet of a human for millions of years has consisted of meat, people aren't just going to give that up after over millions of years. It's what we do. You get mad at the industries for killing animals for consumption, but animals kill other animals for the same reason!

      Exactly! I've been a vegetarian my whole life but I do agree that shoving your bleeds in people's faces is quite rude. Not everyone has to be vegan or vegetarian and they are entitled to their opinion. People these days. This is why,in general, I dislike some vegans.

      To defend vegans here.
      We who preech veganism don't care about what you do, where you live, what you like to do, how you deras, who you love, what you believe in or anything else.
      We do not, repeat NOT, push OPINIONS on you guys.
      We ONLY want to stop the VIOLENCE and MURDER of innocent beings.
      We defend animals just as people defend anyone who is being exploited or abused in any way.
      So that's it. We don't care about your life, we only want you to stop contribute to the death and suffering of other living beings.
      Treating ANYONE that way is completely madness.
      If humans were treated as animals are being treated... those doing it would be called psychopaths.

      +EgOBOi1 animals were made for human consumption. As a result, it is optional whether or not one wants to live a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle :)) p.s. The life of a human is much more precious than an animal's life.. I'm sure your one of those animal lovers who are pro-choice but God forbid a human eating an animal because the poor animals need to live but who cares about innocent human lives :(

      +Hannah Call (hxnnxh mc) Apes for centuries did not eat meat. It is only a "recent" evolution, so it is actually more in human nature for humans to not eat meat. As for reasoning, it is less about "beliefs" and more about facing the fact that the animal agriculture industry is the main reason as to why the Earth is being exploited and polluted. That is a fact. Not a belief.

    Reading these comments make me sick. If you're a vegan good for you. It is a healthy lifestyle and if it works for you then fantastic! But it is not the ONLY healthy lifestyle. There are countless studies proving that meat is healthy for you, and countless others that prove it is not. At the end of the day it is all theory so in my opinion you should eat whatever makes you feel good. No one should be pressured into following any diet curriculum. From what i can tell she is eating little processed food which is the most important. Everything else seems clean and delicious. If you disagree that is OKAY but please stop with all the hateful comments on how it is not healthy. You are no expert no matter how experienced you believe you are. Not everyone wants to lead a vegan lifestyle and none of you are in any position to control or dictate another's diet and way of living. (Also many nutritionists would agree this is a pretty healthy day of eating and they went to years of schooling, most of you base your opinions off what others on the internet have told you.)

    • @EgOBOi1
      @EgOBOi1 9 років тому +1

      Meat is actually not healthy, but except for that, eating animals is just as "okay" as eating humans.
      By that I mean (of course) that no murder is ever okay, whoever it is.
      Just because it's a cow, a pig, a chicken, a turkey or a fish, it doesn't mean that it's suddently "Okay" to KILL them??
      Just as it's not okay to discriminate a human because she's a woman, or he's black, she has downs syndrome or he is gay.
      Veganism is about non violence, equality and justice.
      If you think about it, it's completely justified to tell a meat eater to go vegan, just as you would tell anyone who is hurting someone to stop.
      It's not about us, it's about them. It's about defending and protesting the victims, whoever they are.
      Sure, animals and humans are different, but we have the same right to live. The same fear for death and pain.

      Yes, humans are animals, but just because you are animals, doesn't make you carnivores.
      For example: A horse is an animal, does that make him/her a carnivore?
      Humans are 100% herbavores.
      Want evidence? Study these body parts. Carnivore vs omnivore vs herbavore. Use google.

    Hi. What time of day did you eat each of those meals and how do you not get hungry? If I eat the same, I'm hungry about two hours after each of those meals. Do you just not get hungry and weak or do you regularly feel hungry and weak between meals?

    • @BeccaBristow
      @BeccaBristow  9 років тому

      Everyone's body needs a certain amount of calories to function, which varies widely based on many factors..such as weight, height, age, activity level, hormones, etc. For me, these meals keep me full and satisfied throughout the day, and I usually don't experience hunger/weakness at all in between. If I ever do, I'll have another snack! It's could that you may need more calories at baseline to function compared to me, everyone is different! That may be why you are hungry more often!

    • @BeccaBristow

      +cinnamon apple If you're considering becoming a vegetarian, you can't just cut meat out and continue to eat the way you did before. It's important to replace the meat sources with plant-based proteins, that way your diet is not lacking in protein and calories! I was a vegetarian for 6 years and just decided one day to eat some lean meats again, it wasn't really something I thought too much about! I would suggest though if you're seriously considering making the switch, to do lots of research beforehand so you can maintain a healthy diet/maintain your weight!

    • @BeccaBristow
      @BeccaBristow  10 років тому +7

      I really don't have a good reason for why I started to eat it again haha I wish I did! I just for some reason felt like I wanted to try eating it again..and so far I am happy with doing that! It's totally up to you, I think the best thing to base it on is how you feel! If you feel better with the animal products cut out, then that works for you. If your body feels good with them in your diet, then keep them in! I originally went vegetarian (I never went vegan) to see if it made me feel better, and it did. But since eating chicken/turkey again, I still feel great! I think it's because I haven't added back in the cheeseburgers, cheese steaks, steaks etc that I would eat here and there before I went vegetarian, since those are obviously less healthy meat options. Hope this helped!

    • @EgOBOi1
      @EgOBOi1 9 років тому +1

      I'm glad that you feel happy, however the animals you eat are not happy at all...
      I'm actually not sorry for saying this, because making you feel bad and guilty is kind of the point.
      That way, people change.
      People change when they feel the guilt of eating the flesh from the body of a dead animals who was brutally murdered and chopped up into pieces.
      Pieces of another being's B-O-D-Y....

    I completely appreciate veganism and I think that it's really great for your bodies and the planet. However SOME and only SOME vegans are taking it way too far. I'm getting sick of people saying how she isn't eating healthy because she's eating meat and dairy. It's her choice what she eats and although we all have freedom of speech we could at least show some decency. Of course you can say your opinion and express how you think it's wrong to eat dairy and meat but I think it's completely disrespectful and rude to force your opinions onto her. I've tried being vegan and vegetarian and it's not for me. I eat meat and dairy but not too much of it. Humans are omnivores and can eat meat if they want to, or you can choose not to which is totally fine. Humans, however, are not supposed to eat too much meat and overeating meat is an issue nowadays. I 100% agree that we should try to eat less meat and dairy. I don't want to eliminate meat and dairy out of my diet completely though and that's my personal decision. Just like your personal decision may be to be vegan or vegetarian etc. Please stop telling her what to eat, it's her body. You have your own body to worry about and I have my own body to worry about. I am in no way attacking vegans in general, some people are just going too far in the comments and I wanted to voice my opinion on the matter.

    Great video, well balanced meals, very healthy. Basically 4 meals including the snack maybe 5 with the fruit. If you mentioned the time you ate each meal people would have a better understanding of the frequency. Time you woke up all the way to your last meal. Small descriptions like that would help guide us just to get an exact point of view, thank you.

      ***** Wrong cutie. Doctors are not even nutritionists. The average doctor doesn't even know how to eat healthy.
      I was probably the first person my doctor did a check up on with low cholesterol since everyone ramps up quite high.
      Most doctors also don't learn more than 1 class worth of nutrition. The rest is learning diagnosing, medicines, surgery etc.
      There exist nutritionists for a reason. I can assure you i know more about nutrition than most doctors since doctors don't learn much nutrition.
      If you wanna learn about nutrition based on medical science and peer reviewed studies then look up nutritionfacts.org on youtube.

    Hello, I have a few question, what do you mean by CLEAN? Also you are eating a lot of processed food, and a lot of grains, I think this is not a good meal plan. Also you are not eating enough, aren't you hungry all the time? Also too much nut butters, they are not healthy. Otherwise nice editing and video :)

    • @BeccaBristow
      @BeccaBristow  10 років тому +10

      Well, what do you mean by processed? A good amount of the foods I eat are either whole or contain a few ingredients. As far as bread and wraps, I guess you could consider them "processed" but my idea of processed is foods that are very high in added fat, salt, sugar, and ingredients I cannot pronounce. I always read the labels on the food I eat, so if I believe it is okay to eat then it is okay for me to eat. You may personally choose to not eat grains/eat a small amount and that is your choice. I enjoy eating (whole) grains and believe they offer many nutritional benefits (fiber, protein, and a list of vitamins and minerals) so I choose to eat them. Also, as far as nut butters go, I do not understand how you can consider all of them "not healthy." Nuts in general are a great protein and healthy fat source, so I see no problem with them in my diet. There are plenty of nut butters out there that are very pure and do not have any added ingredients, and I am very careful with the ones I choose to eat. I actually have an entire video talking about nut butters and understanding the way certain kinds are processed and how it can affect the body. It is called "The Skinny on Peanut Butter" if you would like to see more of how I feel on this topic. How I eat is the closest I can get to a "clean" diet at this time. As nice as it would be to eat everything from scratch and nothing from a package, I am a busy like everyone else and this is just what works for me. I feel great eating this way, and know that my diet is nutritious and well-balanced, so that is why I do it!

    • @MilkMeatEggs
      @MilkMeatEggs 10 років тому

      Becca Kay Thanks for the long and detailed reply :) First of didn't mean to be offesnive. My opinion why grains are bad: Most grains today are grown in poor quality soil, every year the same, not like a few centurys ago when they rotated them. So they are nutritional poor compared to fruits/root vegetables, that's why I think they are a better source of carbs. Also they need to be prepared correctly, which usually includes some form of fermentation, grains today aren't prepared correctly so they contain mineral blocking nutrients. The proteins in them cause inflammation, because you cannot digest them correctly, because of no fermentation. Nut butters contain way too much polyunsaturated fats, which are the unhealthy fats. Healthy fats are butter and coconut oil, because they are heat stable and don't oxidize, as well as contain beneficial nutrients. If you feel great however, keep doing what you are doing, good luck!

    • @MilkMeatEggs
      @MilkMeatEggs 10 років тому

      Also peanut is a legume, highly allergenic, and again a lot of PUFA.

    • @BeccaBristow
      @BeccaBristow  10 років тому +7

      Matthew Messer First, I am curious - where do you get your nutritional information from? Are you studying nutrition or have you just taken in interest in it?
      Anyway...butter and coconut oil are full of saturated fats! This is the "bad" fat. It is the most atherogenic (along with trans fat), and therefore should be limited in the diet. In the US, the recommendation is to keep saturated fats to

    • @MilkMeatEggs
      @MilkMeatEggs 10 років тому

      Becca Kay Okay, I will adress each of your questions in order: I get my information from scientific studys, as well as looking at the diet of traditional populations, and understanding the human organism biologically. Saturated fat is not the bad fat, it doesn't cause heart disease: chriskresser.com/new-study-puts-final-nail-in-the-saturated-fat-causes-heart-disease-coffin It actually reduces the risk: perfecthealthdiet.com/2010/09/saturated-fat-reduces-risk-of-stroke-and-heart-disease/ If you want to learn more about the function of fats, I suggest you go here: raypeat.com/articles/articles/unsuitablefats.shtml many scientific references. Since people started eating less saturated fat, and more polyunsaturated fat, heart disease and cancer increased massively. Of course there are other factors too but this was one of the main ones. Of course I hear you, I don't suggest trying to always overthink every meal, im just suggesting that grains that are available today are not the best specially the refined ones you have in your last meal. Better options are fruit or starchy root vegetables, because they contain more micronutrients, and no toxic compounds such as the grains. Yes whole grains have some nutrition but very poor, you mention protein, b vitamins, iron, all of these are abundant in good quality animal products, specially meat. Problem with legumes are the same with grains, anti nutrients, also peanut is specially allergenic, grains and legumes contain very low quality protein, compared to animal products. Peanuts are also high in polyunsaturated fats. Hope I could expand your knowledge a bit :) let me know what do you think. Again this is not on attack on you or your video, I think it is amazing that you are sharing your knowledge and trying to help people to eat healthier!
