*Powder T-Zone prior to Foundation* . It was an exceptionally warm day for April in Upstate NY. I'm 56 and have a physically demanding job, decided to give your technique a try this morning. After skin prep, I used a light finger pressing of powder in my T-zone, then misted my face with a setting spray. I did my eyes and brows while this set down. I applied Wet-N- Wild Tinted Hydrator for foundation, bronzer and blush. Did a stipple more of powder and another mist of setting spray. I definitely worked up a sweat during the day, however, my face didn't "melt" away. I had normal shine break through but I looked "dewey" rather than my face my face fell apart. Thank you for the great tips!
Gorgeous Marlena! We missed you so much! Please do more tutorials for people over 40. The techniques are so different than in my early 20s when I first stumbled upon your videos.

You are so beautiful and have stunning skin. Im a year away from 40, and don’t have the worst skin. Not the best, because as you said. I was always in the sun as child, teen to my late 20’s. A lot of sun, and very little sunscreen. Oh if i knew what i know now. But my face tends to have a red tone a lot of times, so thank you so much for the tricks & tips!

Watching you use your eye shadows brings a tear to my eye. Every time I put on eyeshadow I wish it was a Makeup Geek. They were sooooo good. Thanks and love ya! Welcome to Texas 💕
Thank you Marlena for the makeup application tips! It’s definitely going to help me very much. I struggle most times with eyeshadow and which eye brushes to use with hooded eyes. Also, good to know which tools to use for different types of foundation. I learned a lot in this video. Thank you 😊
I loved this lesson so much. I'm going to be 45 in August and I discovered a couple of months ago that I now have to hold my eye as I've got a little fold appearing on each side!

Ahhhhh I am older than you lol and I learned something new!! Take the mascara to the base first and move it a little side to side and then up!!! Can't wait to try it as I never knew !!!!!
I love this look and the fact that it’s a universal application! No one talks about application for deep set eyes. Mine are changing as I age! Thus, having to learn how to reapply shadow.
My hooded eyes thank you!!! It's so hard to find tips and techniques that complement them. And many makeup artists do them wrong, or just ignore my requests and the result ages me a lot, so it's crucial to know how to do it myself
For hooded eyes, it's SO important to not line the lash line too heavily and keep the lid with a light and shimmer shadow. That will keep the lids bright :)

Hey girl, I just wanted to say thank you because a few days ago I watched your video about the way you can change the undertone of your foundation and I noticed this morning when I playing my foundation it looked a bit odd on my skin. I have a neutral or yellowish tone. I’m learning to identify it so I’m not sure which of the two I have but for sure I don’t have a pinkish undertone, which is how my foundation was looking so I did add a little bit of blue eyeshadow and it made a world of a difference. I’m so grateful for the steps, so I just wanted to come on here and say what a difference it made in the way my foundation looks, I love watching your videos the more you talk and the longer they are the better. Thanks again.
Thank you Marlena! You were literally the first beauty UA-camr that I ever watched! Please keep uploading and creating! The beauty community needs you!

THANK YOU, I was hoping you would make a tutorial omg! You are literally the only one I trust to give us good advice or reviews. I appreciate your honesty + the time + effort you put into your work ❤ The industry needs more people like you.
I have followed you for soooooo many years and your energy never waivers! I know you have gone through alot of emotional life trials but always remember God has blessed your life and is always walking with you! Be strong and always rely on the positive around you!! We all go through ups and downs (not to make light of anything you have gone through) but just remember the amazing journey you are living!!
So helpful, thank you! I feel like your eye look is a tightened-up and more precise version of the general placement I do for daily eye shadow. But the perfect detail with each little step is exactly what I needed to make this look less sloppy and muddy-looking, which often happens to me. You are an excellent teacher, thank you for putting this tutorial out there for us!
With the eye application just to mention about where bouts you hold the brush the closer you hold it to the tip the more product you’re gonna lay down, great if you want to pack colour on but if you’re blending hold the brush further up you will get a much softer blended effect. Fab vid hun 💖
Did anybody else literally sit down with a notebook? Thank you Marlena! Loving the information in these videos.
I also like to save the video in YT, so I can refer back later.
Please do more tutorials since you really are a pro par excellence! I learned so much just in this one especially for the eyes!!! Thank you!

Thank you so much!! This was such a sweet message- I’m so grateful!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Colored but chic makeup❤
