Was the cabbage cooked? It seems to me I tried something similar and the cabbage was still hard , but I didn’t go by a recipe. Would you suggest cooking the cabbage steaks for a bit first, then place the patty and sauce on top.
well the point of the cabbage burgers for me is to be healthy and that added cream stuff takes that to the unhealthy side. but it sure looks good.. ill just stick with melted cheese and carnelized onion on top I think..

I thought the core of a cabbage is tough and virtually inedible.
If sliced thin it can be cooked and eaten. You will want to cut off the steam. If it’s too hard you can eat around it.
