Nice review! I have the 6XX (same design as 58X) and the 300r, and I must say for me personally, the 6XX is much more comfortable. I know a lot of people say the 300r is very comfortable, but for me, after about 1-2 hours my ears get quite warm and pressure points develop on the top of my head from the headband. Whereas the 6XX I can wear all day with no comfort issues at all.

really comes down to if people can handle the clamp of 6xx at least for me

@@MrConnorBig I had the same problem with the 300r the first week, then I stretched them over their box (horizontally) for 2 days and all my issues have disappeared (after a few minutes I would feel pain over the ear). Could be also that I eq the 5.5khz region down by a bit, that helped as well for long term listening.

I have the Sennheiser GSP 550, and I will receive the H6PRO exactly like yours, tomorrow. The design is definitely the best for me, that is a real plus. I tried several headphones and I really like Sennheiser more for the sound. And this one is going to allow me to connect it directly to my sound card which can compose really good with 3D sounds with my speakers, even on basic stereo records, it's changing world, and it can virtualise the environment even more for headphone. I can't wait to feel how it is going to be. For games, I like to hear where the sound comes from exactly, including the distance, and it is already not bad without my soundcard, so I can't be disappointed for sure.

I gotta stop watching these product reviews. Just came from another review where the guy says the H6 open are the most comfy headset he's ever wore and compared them to 12 other pairs, the dude in this review say it's the least comfy of the three and basically trashed the ear pads. I'm confused. It boils down to personal prefs obviously - but drawing any conclusions just by watching YT reviews is close to impossible.

im using the smsl su-9 dac and ifi pro ican signature amp. The midrange of the h6 pro is scooped out a little so it makes sense hd58x sounds more detail in parts of that region. example where h6pro is better is in bass where it extends better and also soundstage and imaging are pretty clearly better as well

I want to upgrade my old hyper x cloud alpha, what do you recommend me? of these headphones I found the hyper x cloud alpha quite fatiguing in treble with music but not so much in games. I want a headphone with wider soundstage and better bass without losing details or at least having some sub bass as the hyper x cloud alpha. I want them for gaming and music

i believe that. I have heard my brothers audiotechnica ATH-AD700x and reviewed it last year. Essentially the headphones are designed similarly to r70x with big and angled drivers which help the imaging alot. The H6pro also has angled drivers and I think thats why it images so well too

man, I am so disappointed with these headphones. The closed back really sounds pretty below average and muddy, with little detail. I have to enable DOlby and play with the EQ settings to make them sound good :(

They are "great" compared to other "gaming headsets" with good build quality, but as audio quality for general usage goes, it's only ok. To my ears it's boom and muddy, mid range sounds unnatural in some cases. Definitely EPOS tuned this for the "gamers" crowd. It's hard to tune with EQ because it only happens at times.
I still prefer PC38X for general use (video, music, games) as it sounds more natural and clearer.
