Hopefully, more ebikes come with turn signals in the near future.
Yes they should all come with a horn, proper lights, dual sport tyres and turn signals would annoy the feds a whole lot less.. Sayin 'We wanna be free, we wanna be free to ride on the machine without being hassled by 'Tbe Man' '
And bright headlights and backlights
Unfortunately, it seems like the only bikes that regularly come with turn signals and sideview mirrors are dirt ebikes, for some bizarre reason...
They're literally not meant to go on roads, yet they get the road driving essentials? 🙃
That's funny that you wear moto gear with sandals/flip-flops 😄
Yeah its pretty ridiculous riding gear and the trash bag flapping in the wind
This bike is basically a denzel Samurai which solar got the rights to. And renamed it. Denzel samurais are still being sold and you can get parts for it to modify the solar. They do side bags etc...
They’re releasing a race edition in July. Hopefully you can review that too
They have new race version of this bike, looks amazing. I just preordered a bike from rawrr called the mantis x. It’s 72v and goes 50mph. A Surron competitor for 3000 dollars, to me it might possibly be the best bang for your buck. The company hasn’t been advertising it much however.
The company is not setup for Moto. No support on this bike if anything goes wrong. Also its a rebrand.
Hi this is the Version 2 did you have any issues or problems with the throttle cutting off like someone turned it off and no throttle response. Once you slow down and come to a complete stop you regain throttle again…
Is there a way to toggle off the headlight/front lamp light?
You don't think they'll come out with a belt conversion kit
Carbon fiber framing makes me uncomfortable. My exposure is mostly in sports where those parts tend to be considered consumable. My thoughts may not be wrong but man, it gives me the willies to think about riding on that long term.
The reason carbon fiber is not recommended in things like mountain biking for example is because of the compression put on the bike in those sports. But for regular street riding and light trail stuff carbon fiber is fine.
FYI You can get th talaria and the Surron streatlegal.
The opposite of active suspension. Hang a 9kg weight on the rear triangle.
I don’t think bro has ridden enough mid drive e-bikes to know that the solar e-clipse is actually really not that loud at all, there are waaaay louder mid drive bikes. Hub drive bikes are naturally quieter damn near silent because there’s no gear or chain noises, now will a belt fix that on mid drives?….. yes.
However calling the sound of the eclipse a con is disingenuous to the platform you’re working with.
I had my Solar Eclipse 2.0 for a week and HATED it. I sold it on FB Marketplace.
The Suspension was awful, the seat was hard as a rock. The bike raddled over every single bump.
The carbon fiber bike feels plastic and scratched easily. Plus all the Components on the handlebar are cheap plastic and it looks like a kiddy bike.
The bike is too long and doenst fit in any bike racks. Not too mention the throttle was twitchy with an awful throttle, and would turn off randomly.
The Brakes and the Suspension is maan from a crap Tawain company, and the geometry of the bike made the reader Suspension awful with the Front suspension that would literally go through the motions, up and down doing nothing to absorb shocks.
I have a hard time understanding how you could like that bike over the P -51 that is so comfortable that you had and upgraded..
I follow you because I believe you were the most HONEST out of all the Influencers giving both Pro's and Cons of the BIKE, and I just cannot comprehend that you are saying this bike is almost perfect, when it's far from it!!!
I've ones 10 ebikes over the past 4 years and I will say that this is the worse I've owned.
My little Burromax TT1600R Pit Bike has a better ride then that POS... I hope you continue with your honest reviews because it's much needed, and I'm sorry but I know your not being honest in this review., or maybe you should get more bikes so you can really compare it to them.
That motor placement is so ugly 😢I hate it so much 😅. But it's a great performer and light bike. They could have ducted air or rammed it with better slick design into the frame so the motor is covered....
@ 6:29 in China these bikes have a belt drive system for the Solar Eclipse, it has 2 options for the motor a standard motor and a more powerful one. Not sure if it will be released in the USA Though. I’ll put a link here to that belt drive version.

Do you need a motorcycle licence for a solar eclipse, longer wheelbase is great, it's going to be less likely to wheely.
Yeah if you get it plated and registered as a motorcycle. If you can register it as a moped then you only need a drivers license at least in my state
Love to own one but to expensive
60 mph isn't very fast and a range of 70 miles isn't very far. how does this compare to your other bikes?
Did you license and register it as a motorcycle?
60mph isn't very fast for an electric bike? What are you smoking?
@steroberry i own an electric bike, and you can always spot the people who can't afford it. They alway drop ome negative comment like the OP above.
@@zane___k7333 yea I do too lol 60mph is in the ball park on how fast you'd wanna be going on an e bike anyways. Anything faster is silly
@@steroberry specially when hit by cross wind. And you being so light. Experience.
You’ve gotta remember electric bikes and motorcycles are city/ local commute machines. Battery tech still isn’t up to gas standards so therefore range is low compared to gas. There are electric motorcycles that go into the 150mph and below commercially
Also if you’re following speed regulations you should never need to go above 60mph🤷♂️
My surron has 7,000 miles bigger aftermarket community
Sry but that carbon fibre will start to crack.
You really need some proper footwear..
