If Firewall Ultra can build on the success and profitability of the first game, and VR2 does as well as we hope, I can see FCE becoming a Sony first-party studio, with more funding and technical assistance potentially leading to a future sequel having a full campaign. Especially if COD could be something leaving PlayStation over the next few years.
I'm not a big multiplayer guy, but I'm glad Firewall fans are covered on PSVR 2. I wonder about dedicated servers though. I'm sure it'll make the game better for the first while, but I wonder how long FCE will keep the servers running. A host migration solution might've been better for a longer lifespan, but I suppose they could implement something like that later once dedicated servers are set to shut down. Hopefully the game is popular enough that this is all a non-issue anyway.
I think the genre/style of the game alone is going to help it last a loooong time. This concern also came up during gen 1 but the game had one of the best active playerbases for years, which as you know is rare for VR games. The only thing that can slow it down is competition.
It’s a Sony IP and a Sony published game. The choice for dedicated servers would have been okayed with and understood by Sony first. Firewall Zero Hour has been one of the most profitable PSVR exclusives, and it’s still being played now. Firewall Ultra will have legs for years and years, long after other VR FPS games or even potential sequels come out. If it was an FCE IP and third-party published, then I’d be more concerned about servers getting pulled after a couple of years. This is Sony’s flagship VR FPS. And with the way COD could be going, it might even be an IP Sony pour more money into in future.
@@EeekiE I hope you're right, and it gets years of support. FZH was definitely a huge success for PSVR, but that's sort of like being a big fish in a relatively small pond. With the potential for hybrid games on PSVR 2, it could be up against some pretty stiff competition, including from Sony's own IP (Resistance, Killzone, or most closely, SOCOM). I hope that FCE can replicate their success and support the game for its fans for a very long time though.
I wonder if swapping weapons by using eye-tracking relates to creating loadouts in the lobby screen rather than an in-round mechanic to swap between equipped weapons?

I hope they plan on adding a Battle Royale mode. It will be a great way to get more people's attention.
I'm not really a fan of BR... Maybe one day it will click with me?
Here’s some hands on footage with PSVR2 if you haven’t seen it already ua-cam.com/video/PxUXWpj11fw/v-deo.html
This sounds far more user-friendly and hopefully no more tracking issues
New AIM controller? May not be needed at first, but hope one does come!
I think we'll get one :)
Thanks for the great video AJ!
Thanks for dropping by! My money is on this game kicking major ass! 🔥
I can’t wait for this
We can't wait either!!!
Never played it much on Psvr, but definitely going to give it more of a chance on Psvr2, can't wait!
Bro we gotta squad up, you'll have a blast with the cats :)
We can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Why are they shooting blasters from star wars?
I hope they add sniper scopes.
Oh man that would be an amazing surprise
@@PSVRUNDERGROUND I posted on FCE Facebook page saying will there be magnified scopes and they liked the conment so I'm thinking we will get them.
Wow
Man this looks good.. I'm still lacking on getting a PS5 😂
Follow those twitter accounts for PS Direct notifications! Or... Wait for a PS VR2 bundle
Stinks of moisture around here!
Just you wait big boy
Woof! Woof! Not my type of game but a good get for PSVR2.
I'm pretty picky about Multiplayer and Shooters, and FZH is one of my favorites of all time! Hope you get to check it out :)
Firewall needs PvE
Firewall has PvE
@@solid_justice5855 a very, very sad and bare minimal of one. A disgrace of PvE tbh
@@dragoonseye76 they allready said the one for Ultra will be different
@@solid_justice5855 we will see. I remain open-minded
No confidence in these devs.
