Not many of us are sharing our car with two other drivers. Only three zone cooling/heating...oh no, what will I do. Seriously, dude?! This is a great car and if it is if an Audi or Mercedes with these same options would cost at least 20-30k more.
Actually, he was complimenting Genesis for compromising on those features because they really don't matter to most people. However, I'm unconvinced there is any meaningful cost difference between two and three seat memories. It's a button and a trivial amount of memory, not anything expensive. They only include two because it is uncommon to need more than that.
@@markmiller3279 I just thought it was ridiculous for Alex to highlight what I believe are totally trivial vs “the Germans.” Owning or leasing a German car also means many trips to the dealership for repairs. The full-time three row models are much larger. Few people cross-shop them.

@@mithaqali9921 There is a sound generator that makes the exhaust note sound louder through the car's speakers, for those that like a loud exhaust sound.
@@747-pilot You are exactly right, after watching this video where this guy mentions "faster and "speed" every 2 seconds. It is a plush luxury SUV, who gives a s*** about is being sporty. If you want sporty, buy a sports car, not a luxury SUV!!!!
Exactly! What’s so luxurious about a luxury car/SUV that rides like a lowered Honda Civic? … Everybody thinks they’re race car driver, it’s a SUV for goodness sake!
Can ambient lighting be fluid or just one standard color?

What’s going on with the rear wheels????
Am I tripping?

OFC. The best SUV in NA
I wasn’t even aware manufacturers were including four zone air and heat. Three is more than enough, just like the two seat memory vs three. Also, the passenger side Genesis seat has a large seat bottom, so there’s no need for a thigh extender. By the way, this evening Genesis released the official G70 photos.
@@stevewise1656 to add: most leased cars are not full spec. cars. So most don’t even have 4 zone and are the entry e300 or 5 series
@@stevewise1656 That's because you're not a luxury brand shopper, period. You get offended because you're like many of the common mass that have nothing but stereotypes for German cars. Sure, German cars are not going to be as reliable but it's nothing extreme like you rumor-believers love to say.
I love this car, for the record. I think Genesis did an awesome job, but this mostly competes with Asian brands rather than German brands.
@@dailyrant4068 Uh, sorry to burst your pompous bubble, but I can pretty much buy any car I want. Am considering the Porsche Taycan top trim.😊 By all means guess more about who I am, what I can afford, what I know about cars, etc..knock yourself out.
thanks for the review, Alex. BTW, how intrusive is the start-stop? you glossed over the buttons-bank on the left side.
why not mention the lincoln Aviator or the Cadillac XT6 ??
They are larger than this. There is a divide between "emergency third row" and "usable third row" shoppers.
@@AAutoBuyersGuide but they are mide size luxury suvs are they? And same price category 70k
Cuz they are junk, he don't mention junks
@@semba_9676 There is a clear size and utility difference between two-row and three-row models. Some two-row models (like this) do have available a part-time third row, but those variants will sell in small numbers, so most of these will be two-row, five-passenger vehicles - just like the models he compares it too. The full-time three row models are much larger. Few people cross-shop them.
Genesis is coming to the UK!!Cant wait to see them.....
Do you have a video on the Q8? If so, please send link
With this GV80 and a possible GV70 to compete with the BMW X5 and X3, it would only be right for Genesis to produce a GV90 to compete with the X7, and probably put in the 5.0 V8 from the G90 as an engine option.
Falling in love whit this car
This Adriatic Blue is stunning 😍🔥🤩🥵! It's my favorite Genesis color! And I love the peanut butter Dune interior! It looks so sexy in this combination
Does anyone know if a firmware update will be released to allow wireless Apple CarPlay?
Hi Alex, how is this one compared to the Tahoe 2021 in terms of comfort, quietness, smoothness, noises? Thanks.
great review alex. im flummoxed as to why the audi q7 and mercedes are not included at 2:00. genesis make a great car, and not just for a korean company. they easily box with the germans.
I'm flummoxed too, and for me, as a chauffeur in Australia, the Q7 is a better buy, for a number of reasons.
15:16 I'm pretty sure that's a 2-spoke wheel design 🤔
Alex what is the GVWR of this car? The 3.5TT
Any thoughts on ride quality between the 20 and 22 inch wheels?
Love the Mother in Law jokes!. Keep um coming.
I love your mother in law
Will they offer hybrid versions next year?
The MDX is also out preforming this car .
The drive mode selector will not be available in the U.S.
Limited 3rd row to the top trim is a deal killer for me.
This car is going to fly off the shelves!
That opening logo sequence really needs a "worn VHS playback" distortion filter applied.
Don't tempt me...
Alex you could just say the 3D panel works just like the New Nintendo 3DS. That's all you had to say and we would understand you ☺️.
Haha would love to have xl pho with you
Would love to see this compared with the Lincoln Aviator.
I test drove this and the aviator on the same day as I was really leaning towards the lincoln but once we drove this we came running back from the lincoln dealership. The materials fit/finish is way better and the aviator feels like a navigator compared to this. I wish the GV80 had the HP that the lincoln does but the difference isnt that huge.
I thought the title said "Shanking" 🔪 instead of shaking 😂
I guess driving this will give you an authentic prison experiance!
Never expect to get great MPG if you're going to drive this like a sports car. This car is for folks where price for gas is no object, fun factor and snob appeal take precedence.
This car looks amazing in that classic Jaguar Jade Green
Hey Alex, Your 0 60 times are usually on par with the rest of the automotive press, but this one was a bit off, Car and Driver did it in 5.3 seconds and quarter mile and 13.9, I’ll be interested to see what other journalist get, excellent review 🙏
lol, it's funny that the Subaru Outback Touring XT that AOA had on in 2019 with their turbo'd CVT did 0 - 60 in 5.7 seconds, and this GV80, luxury machine with a 3.5T did 0 - 60 in 6.2 seconds. Yeah, they're not in the same category (because luxury) and that's not at all what I'm saying. I just find it funny that the CVT in both the touring XT and wilderness outback outplayed this vehicle.
Excellent review!
I spent way too much time trying to find the 3rd steering wheel spoke 👁👄👁
It's simulated by the 3d instrument panel. It doesn't show up on video.
Yaaasss!
This is a weird comment I guess, but Wade I like your emogis! I have never seen any one do that before...it really looks like someone is looking at you and a little freaky at the same time. I like it lol 👁👅👁 👁 👄👁 haha
