I am starting to notice more and more GV80 on the roads, and it makes me happy that people are starting to look over the budge. My boss got his GV70 yesterday and he is very happy. He couldn't wait to get rid of his 750i.
When I went to Korea, I saw genesis cars for the first time. I didn’t know what brand it was but I almost got run over by that car while crossing the street and I remember instead of stressing out I was in awe of that car design and logo lol. I hope they bring these cars to the European market
@@truehappiness4U I think they will. I know that the GV60 will come and it's electric. The problem in Europe is that when it comes to luxury cars you guys prefer German cars. That why Lexus are not doing well there and infinity stopped selling their cars years ago.

We own the GV. 80. Great car, great value. Brakes , suspension second to none. I’ve driven MB ‘s for 25 years and I love everything except for repair cost. The GV 80 is great ,plus a wonderful warranty which is a tremendous value.
My family also has a GV80. We are nothing but impressed with our 2023 Genesis gv80 prestige.

I own a palisade limited 2021. The vehicle has tragic build quality. Please watch videos on my channel for more details. Horrible odors comes out of through the the cabin. The roof, rattles constantly when I am driving. It is extremely anoying. There is too much plastic throughout the entire cabin of the palisade limited. Everytime I go over a bump or a rock. I could hear all the plastic in the cabin making a loud squeaking noise. My experience with the palisade has been Horrible. This is actually my second palisade. I am extremely disappointed in the build quality of the palisade. I wanted to buy the Gv80. By with my experience with the palisade. I think I will look some where else. Land Rover discovery, gle, x5, aviator, or q7.
@@Eisenbison I wish it got a million miles per gallon, but it weight nearly 5000 pounds my friend 😀 Engineering is always a series of trade-offs. In this case, we're giving up some mileage for an awesome, well rounded SUV at a fantastic price.

I have bought this exact spec... except in the Matt exterior. A stunning vehicle. A superb experience to drive. The cabin is simply a delight on every level. The entry into the cabin is a tad small... it's true. However the value for the dollar is incredible. Great review. Thanks.
Is it possible to get the Prestige trim with the 3rd row seating? The SUV reviewed in the video has a 3rd row but he refers to it as the prestige trim.

I think Genesis did a very good Job with the GV80 and GV70 because this was the first SUV for this young luxury Brand and I´m sure that the next new cars from this Brand are good too, thanks for the video.

Looking forward to that g70 review. Got rid of my g70 for wrangler 4xe. Gods I miss that car. But I sure don’t miss going to pump only one fill up in over a month. If genesis has any sort of weakness right now it’s their lack of hybrid/electric options. I’ll be back on genesis band wagon when that happens.

It probably doesn’t unlock the back with the key in your pocket for safety. For example say your trying to get away from someone and u get to the front door faster, the person can’t just jump in the back

That looks like a real winner, what was the quality like ? They are pre-ordering the IONIQ 5, EV6 and BMW i4 here in BC now, but delivery when ? POI, under media there is an option for USB Video. Yes, download videos/movies to a pen drive or phone plug it into the usb media plug and watch your video on the 4k infotainment screen. So when the wife wants to go shopping, no problem. I stay in the car and watch Santana in concert or my James Bond favorite movie. Awesome feature. Great review of a great vehicle. I've had mine 5 months (fully loaded 3.5T)

Great review you pointed out to things that I haven’t seen after watching probably 60 or 70 of these videos the back up brake lights in the back are very low I agree also I do not know that the rear deck will open up when walking up on it nobody has pointed that out I’m wondering if that’s available on the 2.5 prestige because I’ll be getting mine in about a month
I thought they didn't have a 3rd row in the Prestige trim. That's pretty cool you got ur hands on one!
Very nice looking suv, at this price point, it needs 4 way keyless entry. Also hoping Genesis will add a blackout package and a sports package. Only thing I dislike from this design is the rear quarter window rising up. Wished it was more straight

A solid ride on larger wheels
My only concern is that we live in Australia & I bought this for long distance touring BUT it has No spare wheel/ this niggles at me fearing a flat tire in the Bush otherwise love it

Still learning things about it
Way too many toys to play with & learn

The reason to have front door only electronic handle with rear doors inert is sensible because it stops a stranger entering the back door while you are standing at the front door with your key fob.
Darn it ... now I'm gunna buy one. Was considering it but you definitely made up my mind.

It feels like that chrome exterior strip will be wrecked with scratches over time from different types of debris (so low to the ground) and that would drive me crazy! Even bunkers with how expensive the vehicle is!

We have this exact car, colour and we LOVE it ... we also get our front seat massage as we drive... we got the front 2 windows tinted ...
Note that the 3rd row seat is only available on one trim level and it is very expensive (in the US). At that price I would definitely go with a BMW X5!
Too many reviews of this top trim with 3.5l V6. Would like to see review of the 2.5l 4 cyl turbo in a lower trim, which is a much better value!
Also, you didn’t mention that it does not have wireless Apple CarPlay or USB type C ports. Hoping Genesis addresses these issues with the 2022 GV80.
You make me want to go buy one today.
I've been between choosing an X5, GLE, CX-90 (not really the same realm, but it's still good), and this GV80. Might go with the latter. It's just so damn beautiful.
this car kinda gives me a bit of an old money/vintage kinda vibe
it's like a Bentley or RR... but genesis feels so much more luxurious and stylish

I’m considering purchasing a GV 80, maybe 2022. This vid helped me as I also consider other luxury SUV’s, I.e. Infinity, Lexus, Lincoln. Thanks !
Just realized something… if you go to a drive in movie theater in this car, and turn off the engine, all you gonna here is beep beep during the movie 😂
And yes drive-in movie theaters are back. And the people love it. The only time I would keep the car running is because it’s too hot outside. You could bring a radio with you and listen to the movie that way but there is nothing like hearing a movie in a car. It’s like having a in home theatre but a little bit better.
Anyway just a tip: if anyone here planning on doing this (especially at some 3hr movie) you can use a fully charged battery for up to an hour and a half and easily be able to start your car but after that I would advise starting your car and running it for the rest of the movie.
Another tip: bring a portable jumper. You can jump your own car because it has its own battery. Good for road trips too.

For the exterior, I wish they offered cooper trim for that specific color (it'll also look good with White, Black, and Red). Also, the video production quality is amazing. I think this channel has the best intros.

Theres no question that this SUV is TOP TIER.
You can change the color of the vehicle when the 360° camera system come up on the screen to match the exterior color of your vehicle
You said you’re 5’8” and we’re having difficulties getting in and out of the front! I’m 6’4” and would now have concerns on whether i could actually fit in this vehicle? Otherwise, it looks like a great vehicle! Also, I would like to think in the future there would be an EV version?
You can get the 2.5t in RWD in the US, guessing not canada.

Great review, but you do bang on about the Germans a lot at the start of the video. I know some will disagree, but I really feel the GV80 sells itself without the need to bring up German manufactured SUVs. Just my personal opinion BTW.
