    Some of the best trucks ever made. I've had 6 GMT800s. 99-02 headlights were my favorite, but I like the interior upgrades from 2003. My most recent one was a 2005 ext cab LT with the L33. It was the most fun to drive out of all of them. I got it up to 260k before I sold it. Haven't been able to replace it because so many of them are rusted out by now.

      Ya I'm in huge debate with myself about getting rid of the 03 1500hd really don't need 2 6.0l rigs and the truck sits all the time might trade for a square body

    Nice yukon, Have same one in family for 18 years in same color 01 denali with lq4 engine all original just replaced transmission and few fuel pumps over the years everything else been so reliable , just have a small issue long crank on first try and starts right up on 2nd crank, but still love it 01-06 denalis is best suvs made way better than new ones

      Could be that fuel pump again. Instead of cranking the first try, just turn the key to on for 3 seconds then off and try to start after that. If cranks on running after that, then it's the fuel pump. Go with the AC Delco fuel pump, more expensive by buy once cry once and don't let the fuel tank go below a 1/4 full. When it's on empty, it's the heat and no fuel surrounding the pump that kills these fuel pumps. Just my 2 cents. And fuel pressure regulator if you haven't changed that. Drivers side on top of valve cover.

    Love the GMT800 look. Love it so much that I recently over paid for a clean "looking" 2004 2500hd with supposedly 150k miles on it, but am suspecting someone rolled back the miles when they replaced the instrument cluster. Unknown to me at the time, the 2500HD came with a transmission temp gauge which is suspiciously missing, and there is a "Service Brake Booster" error message. Problem is that message is a vacuum brake booster error, and this truck has hydro brake booster. I'm neck deep in refreshing this truck and spending way more than it's book value, but when it's all done, it will be a sweet ride that will hopefully last another 2 decades. It's a FL truck and has absolutely zero rust, so I've got that going for me.
    Moral of the story is buyer beware.

      we will always spend more money than they worth especially if you plan on keeping it. When I had my gauge cluster rebuilt the company asked me for the mileage as they had to program the cluster. May want to look into getting one with the trans temp gauge. Very helpful if towing . glad you found a clean one though good luck

    GMT800 and older are the best tracks and SUV’s ever made.

    My favorite GMT 800 is the 2003-2005 Suburban 2500 4x4 with the 6.0 V8, 4L80 trans, and 4.10 gearing with Quadrasteer.

    Greetings, first and foremost a big THANK YOU for providing this video packed with invaluable information. I’m currently looking for an Avalanche, Tahoe or GMC Denalii, but uncertain of the best year to pursue. It would be great if I could find a decent one between 2008-2013 without the fuel management system. Please advise upon your soonest availability, and thanks in advance. Peace and blessings

      thank you for watching. the 08-13 will give a redesigned interior and exterior. try to find one without the fuel management for sure. If you could find a low mileage 03 -07 I would get that instead just for reliability reasons. Ultimately its your choice just do your research.

    Isn't good to have the 4 low option on the Tahoe?
    I'm from Italy and I'm currently hunting for a GMT 800 Tahoe here

    • @Revvedupmontana
      @Revvedupmontana  Місяць тому

      Yes it would be but the Denali is AWD so no option for 4 low. You would have to go with a Tahoe to get that
