I feel like that first part was a personal attack, I have like half those books unread with no plan to get to them anytime soon even though they sound so good! 😂 Once and Future Witches I have read and enjoyed a ton.
Sword of Kaigen is self published, so the author sets up the layout how ever they like pretty much. Also think that one definitely has a heavy focus on world building and defined magic system for sure, but also as far as I know is more toward contemporary fantasy than standard epic fantasy, I don't think there's a big journey since its about a particular community (the title is a place and not an actual sword as far as Ive heard I think) but I likewise haven't read it 😄
I instantly felt bad about mentioning sword of Kaigen (totally forgot it was self published), no more judging books I haven’t read, I swear 😝
I also hate when another booktubers shows off a book I wanna read and haven’t gotten to. But I know what you mean, even though I don’t have a solid TBR my schedule is constantly getting interrupted 🤨

the second volume of gormenghast wasn't as good as the first? told you so!
tiptree is one of those writers that had pretty good titles that really pique your interest
